Stopped in for a BBQ sandwich after I dropped my bike off at Harley Davidson in Tifton. We got the large BBQ sandwich and the BBQ basket, have to say the bbq is good, don't know any others in Tifton but I can say that compared to some around Warner Robins this place would be in the top five. This is a great place for pulled pork! Not a fancy place, so if you have kids, or you are a weary traveler (or both) - no need to worry. Staff was attentive. We were there during rush hour. But they kept up. I had the salad with pulled pork. I seriously thought about going back for more pork and leaving the lettuce. Vanity is the only thing that held me back. I don't care for pulled pork that is served with a bunch of BBQ sauce. I like to taste the meat. And to put my own sauce on. Meat wasn't greasy at all! Hubby had a sandwich and baked beans. Fifteen minutes later she comes out and says they're out of the quesadilla mix, won't be here til afternoon. Why couldn't you have told me that to begin instead of wasting my time? Disappointing experience! Ordered BBQ sandwich's at the drive thru at 1100 o'clock. They took my money and then said it would be a couple of minutes because they were getting a few mor breakfast plates out. Asked me to pull forward and wait. After 15 minutes I went inside and met a rude manager named April, who although apologized, asserted I should have know there would be a long wait. When I asked what time lunch starts she told me 1100 o'clock but they have to switch things over. At 1120 I asked for a refund since you apparently still can't get lunch then. Disappointing experience all around. I live in Tifton, have eaten here before. Not sure I can recommend it. read more

Mostly the food is just okay, although the cole slaw is very weird - they put chunks of sweet pickle and pickle juice in it making it very, well, pickle-ly. Quick stop on our way to Orlando, fast casual, order at the counter and they bring it to you. The pork had really good flavor. The sweet potato soufflé was very good (dessert like, but that is how it should be ). The baked beans had a sweet hint with pork, but not overly sweet, I am really picky about my baked beans and rarely order them out, I finished these. The chicken tenders were homemade, on the smaller side, but you got five (adult portion) so with two sides it was the right amount of food. The sandwiches were very good sized - the regular size was plenty. The fries were were cold when we got our meal and they immediately brought us two more orders fresh from the fryer no questions asked. One of the best "fast food" bbq places we've been to! We were concerned when we walked in and didn't smell the smoke! But, we were pleasantly surprised! The pork was very tasty, not waterlogged tasting as some other places we've been to. My son had the sampler platter with tenders, ribs and pork with two sides and toast. Everything was great! The grilled chicken salad was excellent. Fresh vegetables and green lettuce mix. Unsweet tea even tasted good. The potato salad was just ok, but that's the only "negative" thing I can say. Tried to order a sampler and girl said "we're out of ribs" didn't offer a substitution or anything. Tried to then order a half chicken. She Said " we're out of half chicken. Some companions and I ate here a couple of days ago based on the yelp reviews. I've driven past easily dozens of times while traveling around Tifton, but had yet to stop. My companions both got the BBQ. One now has a new favorite semi-local BBQ place it seems. I, however, grabbed a chicken finger basket based on Marc J's recommendation. They were easily some of the best chicken fingers I've had in a while. Definitely a step above many chain restaurants. The fries were also pretty great. Overall, an excellent dining experience. We'll most likely be back next time we're in Tifton. read more

On Oct 15, 2021 at approximately 6:09 pm I placed an order for my family at Hog n Bones located in Douglas, Ga. Order#6803. Upon placing the order the cashier failed to put down all of the order. Upon noticing this on the receipt I purchased a separate order. Order #6815 1/2 chicken basket. As the complete order arrived to our table I observed that the order of food was not correct. I mentioned this to the waitress who seemed confused. I took the receipt back to the front counter and began to explain the situation. The manager began telling the cooks what the order of food was but was constantly getting the order wrong from the receipt. I had to explain the items on the receipt 3 times before order was completely correct. Upon receiving the food the Big Tex BBQ Sandwich was completely dry & had some pieces pieces of meat in the sandwich were completely hard. The fries on all of the plates were under cooked & cold. Everything else ordered was good. I was going to purchase ice cream for my grandchildren but was informed by the staff that the only flavor was vanilla. So no purchase of ice cream was made. There are some great things about this place. The smoked chicken was tender and delicious and the stew was super thick and tasty. However, the rest of the items we tried were just okay. Pulling it up it's not what you expect a BBQ joint to look like but don't let the looks fool you. Decent BBQ and sides. The baskets are a good value with meat and two sides. My hubby got the quarter chicken and the meat was flavorful and VERY moist. Our daughter and I got pulled pork and while not as good as what the hubby cooks on our smoker at home, it was quick and easy. Honestly, some of the best BBQ I've ever had (especially the ribs). Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that it's an order at the counter place. That doesn't mean that they won't come around and check on you or offer to refill your drink. They've been in Tifton for several years now. Probably the best BBQ in the area. Anytime I pass through Tifton I stop to get a pulled pork sandwich on texas toast with the gold sauce. The sides I have tried are all amazing and the breakfast is great too. May have been the biggest sausage biscuit I have ever seen. You get way more than what you pay for here. Whenever I try a new Bar-B-Q stop, I never get the pulled pork. Let's face it, pulled pork is easy, anyone can do it. I always test new places on their ribs and chicken. This place is a winner. Both the ribs and chicken were excellent. The ribs were just a bit too tender for me because I like a little more texture than most people. The chicken was outstanding, it has great flavor!
