This looked like such a cool place to stop on our road trip. We did not take i75 out of FL prior to moving to Central FL so this was the first cool thing we saw on our trip. I love learning new historical tidbits so I thought maybe I could learn something about this place upon stopping. I was probably not paying the best attention but I was unsuccessful. I went in to use the restroom and browse as well. I was immediately drawn to all the moccasins and decided on trying to find a pair. Pink is not my color but the pair I tried on and purchased was pink. Although they are super comfortable, my ankles still are super sensitive and get blisters. I continued walking around the store, which was filled with so many local treats and snacks, as well as the usual souvenirs you see at rest stops. I bought a pecan roll and a diet soda of some sort. We stopped here mainly because we wanted to use their well-advertised clean bathrooms, but also to get some nuts & jams, plus a specific salad dressing my co-worker requested if we stopped. We were not disappointed by this visit. First, the bathrooms are indeed very clean and well-stocked! The women's restroom was large & quite bright, with a lot of stalls. I don't remember the sink area well, though, because I was chatting with the young employee that was tidying the bathroom after she commented on my Bauhaus t-shirt. My only gripe would be that the honey seemed overpriced, so I didn't buy any. That aside, the jams, nuts, dressings & sauces were reasonably priced, and Magnolia Plantation offers quite a variety! In addition to the bottles bought for my coworker (something Vidalia Onion as a dressing & also a steak sauce), I bought a Ranch Lover's dressing (which I realized later we already had from a prior visit but worth repurchasing), a Georgia Peach Pecan dressing, and a Bear Jam, along with several varieties of nuts and some kind of brittle. When you drive I-75 between Florida & Georgia, you know Magnolia Plantation. Of course it's a touristy stop but they have a great selection of local items. It has been nearly a year since I traveled up Interstate 75 to Atlanta and visit family. I drove up for Thanksgiving, and after getting into the usual stop and go on the Florida turnpike and northbound Interstate 75 south of Ocala (Every F****** Time!), I was able to get to Atlanta. And I usually do good on gas mileage until South Georgia. Then it is time for a pit stop. I always stop at Magnolia Plantation. Right off I75 just before you get to Tifton, Georgia. You will see the big white building with the green roof to the right. Hell, there is nothing else around there! Anyway, exit right, turn right, and then another right, and there you are! They have many gas pumps, and usually there is no problem pulling up and filling up. After you fill up and request a receipt, you will get a message on the screen about having to see the cashier inside for your receipt. It is rather annoying, but the cashier is always friendly. And use the bathrooms while you are here. Restrooms are big and are usually kept clean. And when the staff is cleaning, there are smaller bathrooms available. What amazes me is how there is always large puddles of water on the countertop where the hand sinks are. How is it that washing hands requires as much water for watering a golf course? There are plenty of bottled drinks available (Coca-Cola products), as well as anything peanut or pecan. They also sell a line of products from a Sunbelt Plantations out of Tifton, Georgia. Peanut butter, jams and jellies, bbq sauces, salad dressings, relishes, etc. If you like Vidalia onions, pick up a bottle or two of creamy Vidalia onion salad dressing. I have some in the refrigerator as I write this review. Good stuff! Do you have an addiction to PayDay candy bars? Then you have come to the right place. They have plenty of pecan, peanut, and cashew nougat bars for sale. Better buy two of these! There are also a lot of art and craft items for sale that are displayed on the walls above all of the food items. Like I said, not a whole lot there. But plenty of gas pumps and clean bathrooms. Plus, plenty of snacks and drinks for the road. And before you get back onto the interstate, take a moment to check out the Georgia Bulldogs shrine on the property next to Magnolia Plantation. The gentleman who lives there works on it year-round. And he does a great job. And with Christmas approaching, Santa will most likely be there on a red sleight with a large "G" emblem on the side. They were playing my favorite radio station in the store (siriusXM poprocks), but the women's bathroom was closed so we had to use the run-down men's room by the freezer, and while I was in the bathroom, I became more interested in the art of bathroom graffiti than letting out my own waste, and they began playing Linkin Park, which amplified the experience tenfold. This was my first time trying pralines and pecan brittle, and it was...fantastic! I don't even like nuts, but pecans are a whole different story now because of this place. I stopped here with my husband once on the way back to the Atlanta area from Florida on a road trip we took. It was late afternoon, early evening, and honestly, I just really had to use the bathroom. I was definitely put off by the exterior and name, given the history of the South, but I walked in without too many pre-conceived notions. I had a worker blankly stare at me when I smiled and said hi to her- as she was mopping a different area - no greeting back, no smile, no anything. There were other workers in the building at their registers - no greeting from afar either, and I was the only customer in the store at the time as my husband waited outside. I quickly went to the restroom, which was clean, and then decided to make a point to buy something - anything - just to see if I would get a reaction out of anyone. There were lots of great items, but I'm sure you could find similar things at Bucc-ee's as others have stated and anything else online if you really needed to. I got some kind of peach jam and some of the monkey butter by Grandma Kauffman. Both items I tried later were really tasty, especially the monkey butter warmed up over some vanilla ice cream...but I digress. As I made it to the register, the cashier who helped me was at least a little friendly and smiled but didn't say much. I checked out and left without incident. I kept thinking about the interactions over and over again, and all I can say is the vibe was giving "Get Out." IYKYK. I've never had a worker anywhere just stare at me for no reason. This worker stared at me upon entry and exit with the coldest expression. It felt really wrong...I thought I was overreacting, but I just got finished reading other Google reviews about the place and multiple African-American and Latino customers got the same vibe I did or blatant rudeness, over the course of several years up to the present. In general, people have made a lot of comments about the gas shutting off early or store closing early also, so keep that in mind. I can't speak on the gas, but I will say if you look kind of ethnically ambiguous like me or are of darker skin, please avoid this place if you can. Someone on Google Reviews also reported one of the workers casting homophobic slurs to one of the customers that had just left also.... lots of cool items but not worth your dignity or safety if you fall into the categories I've mentioned. Of course, there are probably good workers there, but too many have described exactly what I have or worse, so it's not just a one-off thing. With the contrast of positive reviews, it seems like the workers are choosy with who they want to be nice to. The structure is made to look like an old plantation house on the outside, but the inside is a testament to modern consumerism and relys on the public's irresistible lure of an impulse buy. If you are on I-75, you will see the signs trying to capture your attention and hit the turn signal at the appropriate exit. it's really hard to miss this place. There's billboards up and down the highway miles before this place is even there. I will say the restrooms are very spacious and clean. Inside they have a variety of popcorn, nuts, dressings, jams, drinks, everything else you can think of slightly overpriced. it's a very average convenient store that just has a little extra grocery items and Home packed nuts and popcorn and things like that. They don't have any paper towels anything stocked up outside which I don't like. It is a very busy location so it's a good place to stop and get some gas, although it might be slightly over priced, and if you want a small, sweet snack, or some thing you could go inside. I'm not sure what type of food they sell, but it seems mostly like a snack, jams, dressing type area. Nice place to take a break after an early morning departure from Tampa during a road trip to North Georgia. Easy access from the exit, good price for gas, restrooms that can accommodate several people at a time and a whole lot of snacks and beverages for a quick pick-me-up. Even the exterior is not your run-of-the-mill service station when you've seen one you've seen them all appearance. I was not prepared for the really big selection of nuts, candies and jars of jam and sauces and such that fill the aisles of this vast store. It may take some time to take inventory of it all so don't go when you are in a rush. The majority of the prices were clearly marked which means you don't have to experience sticker shock when you go to pay. But don't expect to find much that would qualify as healthy or low fat snacks. You can't miss all the billboards for Magnolia Plantation if you're driving along I-75. It's a large store featuring all sorts of souvenirs including foods such as jellies and pecans and Vidalia onions, tchotchkes like corn cob pipes, postcards, t-shirts including many Florida ones for some reason, Minnetonka moccasins, and more. This store is perfect if you need a little regional flavor to bequeath to family, friends, coworkers, etc. The employees are pretty nice and didn't get snarky as I inspected nearly every bag of onions on my last visit. The Plantation also features a Shell station so it's handy to be able to gas and shop at the same spot. There are bathrooms available too. Take exit 55. read more

Had a chance to stop for gas here driving up to GA again. And while the sugary goods are still merchandised pretty in all of their shiny, treacherous splendor, and the bathrooms still pretty clean, and the price for regular gas, competitive, I'm docking a star for 2 things: 1) pay at pump not working; 2) the price for 91 premium was 2.99, (and while I won't swear to the veracity of the 93 premium, I think it was another 50 cents higher): meaning, comparing this with Costco in Marietta 3 days later, that price is 100% higher!! It's not just that the price for the 93 is exorbitant, it's the fact that they draw you in with the deceivingly-low regular price, and then gouge you after they reel you in with a mark-up for premium that's much, much higher than usual. We pulled over to take a look at this place on our way up North to get some gas but we had every intention checking out what was inside but how can you not when we saw a beautiful circulating pond with aqua water. This place was off interstate (I-75-N) and we were headed to TN to beat the storm. There were a couple of homes near by that makes me think there's got to be more civilization in the area.
