Turns out they didn't have all of the root beers because one was discontinued or unable to be sent to them any longer so one of my root beers was an orange soda. I liked the opportunity to try these sodas on tap and not commit to one. That's a really fun idea. Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The bacon was good and I love strawberry pancakes so I'm a big fan when that's on the menu. I really didn't spend a lot of time there, but everyone was friendly and courteous and I didn't have to wait too long for anything from being greeted when I got there to being served. It would make any child's day to head here for ice cream and candy. (There is an entire wall full of various candies that can be selected and weighed. I noticed it was $10.95/lb. There are also a few tables where you can sit down and eat and a TV playing kid appropriate shows, but no sound. In my overall opinion, this place is extremely overpriced but cute. It will probably generate good revenue because of the location, but there are much better ice cream shops in town.

My companions and I have sampled the sipping chocolate, which is a small hot cup of exactly what you think...sipping chocolate. It's more dessert that hot beverage to warm you up. But it is utterly delicious! There are plenty of dessert offerings from gelato to sorbet, to colorful macrons, cookies, cinnamon rolls, cheesecakes, milkshakes, and coffee drinks galore. If that isn't enough they put themselves over the top with hand crafted truffles, each with their own design and flavor profile. The staff will package them in a 2, 4, 8 or 12 count box for gifting. I dare you to leave without a box! They also offer a small caramel filled or dark chocolate bar for about $3.00. They are delicious! You may just have to eat it if it's a hot day outside. You wouldn't want this melting before you get to enjoy it! This is one of my personal favs! Now parking is a bit tricky. There is angled parking in front of the store and on both sides of Broad Street, but this is a busy area for shoppers, diners, locals and tourists. So, if you just venture around the corner to East Jefferson Street, there is more parking. On a busy Saturday, we found plenty of empty spaces midday on East Jefferson Street, where Broad Street was full! It is wonderful to see a local business thriving like Sweet Cacoa! The line out the door proved just how popular this dessert haven is! If you need a gift for a hostess or just a sweet treat yourself, this shop is a must-stop location and is on my regular Thomasville routine shopping destinations.

I selected a pound of various chocolates to get exactly what I wanted plus to avoid any possibility of the pre-packaged assortments being stale. These pre-packaged boxes however looked beautiful and all the chocolates were laid out neatly, with plastic wrap covering them so you could see what was inside. I figured the staff would place the chocolates I chose into a similar box and with as much care. Instead, to my horror when I opened the box at home, she had just thrown them into the box! You can see this in the photo attached. It upset my mom and is not the caliber of service you expect from a shop like this, furthermore, it easily could have been avoided: the girl who did it could have just placed a pound of candies into two boxes and tied them together with a ribbon or used a divider to create two layers in one box. There is no excuse, especially when something is clearly intended as a gift, for this sloppiness.

Question: "The reason I can't look at the box is because it has alcohol?" Answer: "Yes Sir." Customer Departing Comment: "Enjoy your chocolates." Clerk Departing Comment: "Have a nice Day." Query: How does one read the ingredients without holding and reading the box? My wife visited several days before Christmas in a prior year to purchase some Marzipan. She was told they were making some later that day and to come back in the afternoon. When my wife returned she was told it had been made but all of it was sold. Overall, I do not feel customers are valued by this business and would never return!!

We…read morepurchased a batch right before Thanksgiving, and within just two days, the sausages had already turned moldy and had to be thrown away. This has never happened to us before, and it was a complete disaster--especially during a busy holiday week when we were relying on the product. Receiving a batch in such poor condition was frustrating and unacceptable. We truly hope quality control improves so other customers don't experience the same issue.
