The beef brisket sandwich I cannot recommend enough. The beef melts in your mouth, their bbq sauce is sweeter than other but compliments the Smokey flavor of the food. I enjoyed their battered fries and amazing ranch. My husband got the pulled pork and said it was good but next time he wanted to beef brisket. Our waitress cane to the table right away, but we weren't ready for her and asked for more time. She returned in a timely fashion and she took our order. She was pleasant, funny, had a cute personality and was dressed as Wednesday from Addams Family for Halloween. She brought our old in a timely manner, as well, and returned after an appropriate time to check on us. Food - 3 For an appetizer we had the potato skins with pulled pork and jalapeños. The pulled pork lacked the flavor it should have had and the regular BBQ sauce didn't help it. For dinner, My wife ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs (with their new hickory BBQ sauce) and beef brisket with cole slaw and macoroni and cheese. I ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs with their regular BBQ sauce with Cole slaw and potato salad. The ribs with the hickory sauce were quite good; however, the regular BBQ sauce was fairly tasteless. The brisket was fair and luke warm. We both liked the Cole slaw and potato salad, but the macaroni and cheese were bland and luke warm. Price - 4 The price for our combined dinners was $62.20, a bit high for only having water with dinner, but not ridiculous. Suggestions One thing all BBQ restaurants should offer are beef ribs in addition to pork ribs. Good meaty, rip-off-the-bone-with-your-teeth ribs are a must. I had the Hog hot salad with pulled pork. The pulled pork was not hot and really not warm. There was no bbq sauce on the side. I guess it is now on the table in a squeeze bottle. ? Food and service was great, however the loudness of every TV being on and at top volume and at different frequencies this was not at all a nice environment for a dinner. I know it's a bar environment too but I couldn't hear the people at my table let alone the server. I understood the game that was playing was the highlight of the town, totally understood and it was nice to see everyone watching and enjoying it. It just didn't need to be so loud with every TV volume up. PS I'm not a Boomer, just a Gen X with low tolerance for things that give me a headache. Great food though! read more

Hog Heaven is easily one of my favorite places to treat myself to. I don't come often but when I do, I'm never, ever disappointed. I've gotten everything from the pork nachos to brisket, sandwiches and even the hog log. Everything has always been superb. It doesn't matter if it's steak, pork or chicken, the meat is always tender, juicy and flavorful. There portions are enormous. The sides are just as good as the meats as well, and don't even get me started on the hog log. It's something you can only treat yourself to occasionally because it's so sweet, but it's entirely worth it. I'd recommend sharing with a friend or two. In addition the the amazing food, the service is great as well. The prices aren't unmanageable either. I'd highly recommend visiting Hog Heaven if looking for an unbeatable meal! read more

Fantastic Pork Ribs! Service was AWESOME! I was in the area for business and drove over from Steubenville, OH to meet up with an old Ranger Buddy who was working in Canton. I drink A LOT!!!! It's nothing for me to go through a gallon of ice tea in a single sitting. And, our waitress, Misty, never let me see the bottom of my glass! And, trust me, that is no easy feat. SHE WAS GREAT! My former 42d MP Group (Customs) partner visited us from Monroe, LA and we took him here Monday eve, September 20th of this year. He (and we!) were greatly pleased with our meal and McKenzie the young lady who served us. He was so pleased that he had his pic taken with her; he paid the bill and was so impressed with her he tipped her very well. We met the manager, Ainslee, who we discovered was full Cherokee. We ate there for the first time and the food was absolutely delicious. The service left a lot to be desired, we waited for 25 minutes without a member of the wait staff or a manager (the Mgr went past our table several time) stopping at our table to see if we had been waited on or if we wanted drinks while waiting. My husband and I both work in the service industry so we are very understanding but this was not handled properly. We did have a waiter take over who was extremely polite and kind. I was a little worried about writing a 3 star review, because a coworker has told me numerous times that everyone "loves" this place. However, I wasn't impressed, either time I've been. The only reason this place is getting 3 stars is because, the food is okay. I will say, you do get a ton of food for your buck. I have had the grilled chicken with a baked potato and rice. Both the rice and chicken were bland with no flavor and the potato, is well a potato. The second time I had a side salad and chili. The chili was sweet! I don't know if they add in too much brown sugar or what, but I ended up not even eating all of it. It was not appetizing. I also ordered the garlic bread, which was just okay. Not really flavorful either. I can't really understand how so many people care for this place's food, when all I've ever had was bland and tasteless or unnecessarily sweet food. The place, while well decorated in a cool way, needs a huge overall clean. The bathrooms are disgusting and the bar always feels gross. It feels like there is just a sticky film coated everywhere. I get it, it's a BBQ place. But does it does need to be cleaned, BIG TIME! The service is hit or miss. The first time we had a server that wasn't good at all. The second time we had a very attentive and friendly server, I think her name was Amanda. If you like sweet BBQ or burgers (I hear they're pretty good) try it out. What a fun place, I was able to stop by and check out the menu and meet the staff of Hog Heaven. I got a tour of the restaurant, tiki bar and the outside stage where they have live music. Lots of outdoor seating and place to dance. It was a beautiful night with twinkly lights and cool breeze. Everybody was so nice and it seemed the diners were having so much fun. The regulars all sitting at bar were so welcoming. I am rating this for the fun atmosphere, nice staff and the large areas for big parties. They have the regular dining room, bar area has 5 pub tables that seat 4 per table also the bar seats around 12-15. They also have a back room that seats big parties or you can rent out the room and have buffet style. They offer weekly specials, Monday is 6$ burgers with one side and that includes the Hog Burger that has pulled pork and bacon on it. Margaritas are also on special for 4$ and they have all different flavors. Tuesday is 65 cent wings, 8$ half racks, and the drink special is Jack Daniel lemonade. Wednesday is a large pulled pork sandwich for 7$. Thursday special is the same as Tuesday but with 4$ Long Island ice teas. Friday is Tuna steak but I can't remember the price. Hog heaven also has lunch specials till 3pm. Another awesome thing is they do catering for any event you are having. Just call Ryan at the main Hog Heaven office and he can help put on a great party. Ordered pulled pork BBQ - cold meat, super sweet ketchup/sugar BBQ sauce, and stale bun. Horrible food. Then you get hit with a 3.5% charge for using a credit cards. For years customers were pushed to use credit cards so the cash registers would have less cash. The ease of credit cards for businesses has now become an extra charge for profit. Customers are now being charged for the businesses cost of doing business! A restaurant like this should beg customers to come thru the door and use whatever payment for they want - bad food with an extra cost. read more

We wandered down to New Philadelphia for a Toys-for-Tots drive, then went looking for food. Wife had found this place on the 'net, sounded interesting. Note - it's Hog, as in Harley-Davidson - main decor of the place. We were there on a Sunday early afternoon. Lots of customers, definitely family-friendly. Service was friendly, attentive, fairly fast considering the number of customers, and the food was fine. I had pork chops: large, well trimmed, moist, among the best ever. My wife had the chicken breasts, with the house BBQ sauce, was well pleased, brought some home for later. Worth the trip, will be back to try other things. We've been here many times but always have some sort of issue. The very last time I ever will eat at this place actually was a to go order. We ordered two meals. One was a burger and the other was pictured here, as pulled pork sandwich. The only other thing in this box other than this piece of bread was a container of bbq sauce. I called of course and they basically said too bad because "two people check the to go orders before they leave so it couldn't have possibly been wrong!!!!" They also refused to refund any money so I paid nearly $20 for a slice of bread and bbq sauce. The management there is horrible. The cooks are clearly incompetent. Never again will I waste a single cent here, and none of you should either. If you're considering eating here, find anywhere else to eat unless you're really craving a slice of bread with sauce. read more

I've driven past Hog Heaven several times and didn't go in; it's really not that inviting from the outside. I went in the other day and boy was I surprised! It has sort of a Lone Star Steakhouse kind of feel inside and the food was unbelievable! I had some amazing chile as well as ribs, wings, and onion rings. The ribs were perfect. Food was/is excellent, The website says fries which is how I ordered it. . $8.00 and that's the way I ordered it . A week ago . Wanted the same this week. But was surprised when when I got home to find , I had coleslaw instead of the fries that I thought I ordered, the person I was ordering from asked if I wanted a side with my sandwich. Not thinking she was asking if I wanted something other than the fries shown in the Wednesday special !! Now if I would've looked in meal carry home bag , I'd would've known that she had not asked me for more than what was shown in the Wednesday since I ordered gravy and extra barbecue sauce. I've never put gravy on my coleslaw in my life !! So my advice is to look what you have in in your carry out before you leave to make sure you got what you ordered before surprise !!
