    Coconut cream pie!

I hadn't been to Baker's in almost 30 years die to life circumstances and moving out of the area. I took my husband for his birthday this past Saturday, and they rebuilt the place nicely after the fire I heard they had. It's much more spacious now. As for the food; my husband ordered a ribeye steak medium rare and he loved it. He said it was so delicious and cooked perfectly and that he didn't even need steak sauce. I ordered the small strip and it was as fantastic as I remember. We both had baked potatoes and they were just ok. We also ordered desserts; he had a hot fudge sundae and I had a slice of coco or cream pie which was always my favorite. It was exactly as I remembered. It was so delicious, and the slice was huge. The server in the other hand seemed very irritated and didn't seem engaged in serving us at all. Maybe he was having a bad day but in my opinion he shouldn't have been serving. We still left an 18% tip, and with the tip and dessert we came out for a total bill just shy of $100. It's great for a special occasion but pricing is too high unfortunately to make it a regular date night spot. My husband thought the ambience reminded him of an Amish restaurant that we often go to. I thought it was ok but not very modern looking

I was informed about Baker's Restaurant some time ago and finally giving it a go. Living in Canton, Ohio I was unfamiliar with the area of the restaurant as I would have never seen it. It is not located in the best area and you have to go through a pretty sketchy neighborhood with a lot of street cats that you have to avoid hitting while driving. The building is aluminum in appearance with modest decor on the inside, but don't let that sway your judgement as the limited menu also enables you to make a decision quickly. Prices in protein options could be considered moderate to high. All other options are priced reasonably and the desserts are so well priced that you have to try even if you are stuffed. The service was amazing. It seemed like a who's who of Canton patrons inside when we arrived. I saw several familiar faces inside. We were asked for our drink order and glasses of ice water automatically came without request. We were then asked if we wanted to start with an appetizer and we chose the Fried Ravioli which were amazing. A basket of bread and butter also came out. It was room temperature. I wish it was warmed as it was presented in a dinner cloth. We ordered our main entrees which came with a garden salad. We both chose the White French dressing as this would be the second time of us trying this in Ohio. It was very good, a tad sweet and definitely dressed heavily. Our steaks both arrived and at first glance I noticed that my wife's steak appeared larger than mine. There wasn't an even sear and no crust so I really didn't know what to expect. Well, I carved into the rib cap aka dorsi spinalis and met with a flavor profile guaranteed to make your your tastebuds do a happy dance. This wasn't a dry age taste. This was seasoned perfectly and required nothing else. No onions needed. No mushrooms needed. The flavor was out of this world and instantly gave me a reason for wanting to visit again. To be honest the hash browns were just okay and needed seasoning and my wife's fries were like boardwalk fries which I am not a fan of but she enjoyed them. My wife liked the flavor of her steak so much she was dipping her fries into the steak juice aka myoglobin. We ordered dessert to go because you couldn't beat the price. The plain cheesecake was was awesome and didn't spike my blood sugar. My wife enjoyed her chocolate cream pie as it was gone in a few minutes. Kudos Bakers. Thank you for an enjoyable meal as this dining experience was a pleasurable surprise.

Great service, great atmosphere, great steak and Pie!!!

Out of fish. Steak was marginal. Mushrooms for the steak were from a can, and not even sauted.

It's then that we discovered that a 4 topping pizza turned out to be 1 and half topping pizza for $18.00. They give us sausage, and one piece of pepperoni per slice, but no ham, and no bacon. After we were ready to leave, the waitress said our total was $28.26. They charged us for a 4 topping pizza that they did not give us. The bill also revielled that she charged us for drinks that we didn't order. I had a diet soda, and my wife had a ginger ale, and long island ice tea. Nobody had a regular coke ($2.00 extra) plus what they served us was equal to the $12.00 - 2 topping pizza Friday special. They overcharged us $8.00 in total. This might have been a mistake, but none the less it was their mistake. Furthermore, This is supposed to be a sports bar, but 2 of 9 TVs were on keno. 2 other TV's were on the starter page of Roku. The rest of the 5 TV's were not on. I would say that this bar has had its better days before the new owner (Christy). who bought the bar a month ago. And has screwed everything up. Going down hill fast!!! Just saying BEWARE of the overcharging if you go here. After all, there are many bar and grills in downtown Canton, save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else. I know we will never be back.

It's one of the newer additions to Hall of Fame village. Myself and 2 friends arrived at 8pm on a Friday night. They were pretty dead and already starting to clean, but the staff was nice. I ordered the Crunch Wrap as my entrée however it's not what I was expecting. It was more like a Cheesy Gordita Crunch than a Crunch Wrap. Still tasty, but a bit small and not what I was expecting. My friend ordered a cocktail which I tasted and it was refreshingly tasty. My friend and I both ordered the Ohio Buckeye dessert, it was quite delish! We agreed the ice cream included was too small though considering how rich the actual dessert was. The menu has a lot of either items so I think I would go back and try again. Cons: -Parking - if you don't get one of the roughly 10 spots out front, you will be parking in a lot uphill. -Hours - they close at 8pm on weekdays, 6pm Sundays, and 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. This feels a bit early considering the area and type of spot it it.

There is a top area that has some tables along the walls but I would describe it mostly as the "bar area" then there is a downstairs area with table seating. We preferred to sit in the downstairs area both times we were there. There are keno TVs for us to play our keno and it's not too noisy when it's busy. Our server the first time (I believe his name was Coby) was just a delight. I was debating on trying the chili cheese dog and he brought back a small sample of the chili for me to try before ordering and he was very sweet and enjoyable for the whole experience. Our server the second time, an older gentlemen, was less enjoyable but maybe he was having a bad day because he was a little busy. We loved playing our keno here and have had really good luck here. We agreed it was our new keno spot. Food: The first time dining, I tried the coney dog with cheese. The dog and the chili themselves were delicious. There was jus FAR too much bread. My partner got the philly cheesesteak and said that was the same case for her. We both had to pull off most of the bread. But the flavor was there on both dishes. A slightly smaller hoagie bun (or even steaming the buns to order) would really help these two dishes. The second time dining, I decided I was going to get the coney dog again but ask for a regular bun. I very much had a "3 bears" moment. The small bun got too soggy with the chili. SO, next time, I am going to get the half pound falconey with a regular bun AND light chili. That should be just right. LOL. My partner had the side salad this time and fired, She loved the fries just like last time and said the salad was basic but good. No sad lettuce or gross vegetables. I also had their chilled bottles of rootbeer both times with a shot of whiskey. Refreshing and delicious. We want to come in on a Sunday to try out the steak special.
