First item here... friendly staff in meant old warehouse type building. They bread their own onion rings and mushrooms with a light batter and they were light and so much better than the "store bought" stuff Zoe just heat and serve. Waitress recommended the perch - 3 piece was more than enough and again super light breading with no oily taste. Will be taking friends here next weekend and plan on more returns! read more

Stopped here because of the pretty good reviews on yelp and didn't want to eat at another chain restaurant. Very clean inside. Loved the old brick walls and original wood flooring! Service was good. Extensive menu. Parking was minimal at best. Fried clams were good, a little pricey. My husband and I both had the Tavern burger which was a double. When it came out we laughed. No possible way you can eat this it was so thick! Probably a half pound of hamburger per sandwich. Onion rings were not good. Tator tots were better. Make sure if you go to ask for your burger to be cooked the way you want it or it will be well done. Including a picture of half of the burger we took home because we couldn't eat it all. Update-the leftovers are awful the next day. Took meat from bun and tried to re warm (and NOT in microwave) and it was tough and gross. read more

Stopped in for dinner. The waitress was Very nice. There is many things to choose from. We started with cheese sticks. For dinner I went with the fish and chicken combo came with fries. The fish was very very light battered. The chicken was juicy and battered wonderfully.the only thing missing on both the chicken and fish was the seasoning. They both were great pieces of meat just not any seasonsing witch was off putting. I would not order the chicken and fish combo again. On the other hand my husband got the shrimp Alfredo and it was great very well seasoned. The Shrimp was cooked to perfection. My husbands dinner came with a side salad. It was not bad. My best friend got the bacon cheese burger with chips and I have to say it was very good. The meat was seasoned great and it was cooked very well. But if you like your burger with pink in the middle you might wanna let them know. The chips were pretty good but my friend mentioned it tasted as if they were out of a bag and then fried again. Then threw some Cajun seasoning on them. Over all it wasnt bad the portions on the combos were a little small for the price. read more

We stopped here on our way home from a wrestling tournament. The service was good but that is where the positive ended. We were a party of 5. And 4 people ordered medium rare burgers. Obviously the cook has no idea what that means since all 4 burgers came out well done. I ordered a Greek salad. The description said it was mixed greens with gyro meat and feta cheese. It was iceberg lettuce with shredded mozzarella cheese. The gyro was so salty and dry that you couldn't even tell what kind of meat it was. I do not recommend eating here. However if you want to just sit at the bar and order a beer, Michelle was a pleasant server! read more

2 Stars... Service: Our waitress was M.I.A. after bringing us our 2nd round of beers. After about 25-30 min of waiting, we had to flag down the other waitress to take our order. You figured since she's probably paid on tips that she would've been constantly checking to see if we wanted refills or apps or anything else but this wasn't the case. Literally sat with an empty beer glass for 15min. Food: They were out of Meatballs and didn't bother telling us until 10-15 min after we initially ordered. My disgruntled coworker ended up just eating the side salad...loss of sale on their end. read more

Just stopped here to get a bite to eat. Never been to this area before. Are used yelp to find this place. It is excellent restaurant. I ordered the pork ribeye with sweet potato fries and grilled vegetables. That was the absolute tastiest most tender pork chop I have ever had in my life. My wife ordered the cheeseburger with tater tot's and her burger was perfectly cooked and extremely fresh! Our waitress was fast and friendly, and very attentive. The price was very responsible. Normally I love this restaurant. I've gone their often. I had an order delivered from door dash, which I have done many times. We ordered a Denolfo salad with steak, a bowl of chili, and a hamburger. The steak salad (which we order often) did not have steak, but rather a crumbled hamburger, the actual hamburger was burnt, and the chili did not have crackers. First off its New Years, nobody's here and there's no corned beef! The beer is too cold. I mean, my goodness, my Guinness is horrible and the waitress confused my friend and I as gay couple. Second, no pool table, no foosball table and apparently Heineken is only for black guys. Third; the chicken sandy, I can't say anything bad about this; MOIST... But the fries, we have ate three fudging other places and they all serve steak fries, totally main stream omg. I wish just ONE place served fried twinkies around here. Now I'm eating a tavern sub. Pretty dope. It's like something I would make in my moms house if I played for the Cleveland browns. Mustard has filled up all of my orifices. act 2: beer temperature Yup. I knew it. I have to remove waste. Not even 10 minutes after eating. This bathroom is worse than the local hen house at my uncle's redneck village. The bar area is also a total waste of space. If you are going to have a bar, hire bartenders who are taller than three and a half feet. I mean a stepping stool would be fine, but when they jump on your lap just to ask how you are doing, that is a little munchin. I mean much. Again, the beer was so cold I had to put my mittens back on. I wondered if my hands were still real or if they were only extensions of the cold heart of the chef. The only reason this gets a 3 is that the staff is great. The onion rings were nasty, the pizzas tasted like frozen Stouffer's, the margaritas & white Russian were meh. Really wanted to like this place, but not worth the 2nd chance unfortunately. read more

Consistently excellent bar food at reasonable prices. The deep fried cod is always excellent - light, crisp breading that does not overwhelm the fish. The onion rings are the best I've had in years; again, light crisp batter and real onions inside that don't pull out in a long string when you bite into them. The burgers always taste fresh and so do the French fries. And if you want a good hot dog, this is the place. We need to support locally-owned, independent restaurants like this or all we'll have left will be fast food chains. read more

Excellent food, friendly and fast service. Ate dinner here w my family of 5 (husband, 6, 4, and 2 year old) on our way to the hotel. We stayed in Dover the night before our polar express ride. Pub atmosphere where there was no music playing, although there was a juke box and a nice hum of conversation at 5pm. A tv was playing the Outdoor channel with subtitles. Our waitress was friendly and prompt. My husband and I really liked our burgers- juicy, substantial, and the bacon was done perfectly (crisp, not greasy). What a perfect night! read more
