My whole HVAC went out, AC last summer and Heating just days before the temperature went into the teens. I went through Home Depot and Hoffman was sent out. They came out on a Thursday and had my whole system replaced that Saturday. The guys were personal and courteous. DON"T USE HOFFMAN PLUMBING! Bought water heater from Home Depot with installation. I asked for a top of the line NG water heater with 12 year warrantee. It took 4 scheduled tries before Hoffman came out to give me a ridiculous $6000 quote. I scheduled the installation, 2 scheduled tries before they came out. Then they plumbed the recirculation pump and check valve in backwards. 2 days later, without hot water, they came out and fixed it. The 12 year heater turned out to be 8 years on top of that. The ironic thing is the old heater was working, we thought we would be proactive and replace it before we had no hot water! They installed $10K back flow preventer about 14 months ago with easy connecting pipe job, and it started leaking 3 weeks ago. I requested a repair and tech guys came and estimate $45K for redo whole line because warranty 12 months was expired. Then he told me his boss Lisa will contact me to discuss, so I explained to her and she said she will get back to me. However, she never call back to me and I emailed because she didn't answer. She answered me a week later with the answer she doesn't want to get involved with this issue and suggested me to call again customer support. And I called and made an appointment for maintenance but they called me back for canceling the appointment because they don't have any technician who has license of back flow for now. Then I made another appointment for leak repair paying $99, and a guy with bad attitude showed up and he estimated $9150. Whatta fuxx!! He said they cannot expect all situation when they installed. Hoffman was my 'go to' locally owned plumber for many years. I called them, not aware they had been gobbled up by Legacy Air and Heating, Las Vegas. A guy responded in his slick new 'Hoffman" truck, charged me $99 to tell me the repair would be $2100. I was insulted when he informed me if I chancel the $99 payment I would be turned over to collection.. I Invited him to leave and called a real local plumber. I requested service. The guy came to my house as scheduled, reminded me the service call was $99 min. He looked at the problem and estimated repair at 2k. When he took my card for $99. payment he stated if I cancelled the payment I would be turned over to collection. What an insult. I scheduled an appointment. Tech was supposed to be here between 8-11am. I get an email the day before "confirming" an appointment for the afternoon. Frustrating, but things happen. I call to reschedule and ask if there is a change in the time, to please call me. Guess what?!? SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN, WITHOUT A CALL. Instead of an 8-10am, I now have a 1-3pm. Ugh!! Why?!? I can't thank Hoffman Plumbing enough for coming out to my home and fixing what 3 other plumbers from Nevada Heating and Air could not! Long story short I had the water heater pipe under my house burst. This caused a massive water leak under my home. Hoffman Plumbing sent Justin out to my home and he diagnosed the problem right away and had the pipe fixed same day. I had almost given up hope of ever having hot water again but Hoffman plumbing was amazing and came through for myself and my family. I will never call and or go to another plumbing company again. OMG these people are awful. I should have checked their Yelp page before calling. Lots of folks have apparently had problems with Hoffman. We needed a new john and hired them to change out the one we had. The first time I called I told the guy on the phone that my number was a landline and did not accept text messages. He said no problem, they'd call us when the technician was on his way. Our first app't was 9/9/25 with an 8-11 AM arrival. No call. No show. I called after 11:00 and was told my app't was rescheduled for later that afternoon. When I said that no one had called to tell us it was rescheduled, the man at the other end insisted they had called. No, they hadn't. I was home all day. We had skipped needed errands to be there from 8-11. The technician showed up at 4 PM. We never got a call saying he was on his way. The toilet was incorrectly installed, and we couldn't use it (it jumped around like a rodeo bull if you sat on it). So we called Hoffman to say their tech needed to come back. We got an app't for Friday 9/12/25 with an 8-11 arrival time. No show. I called and explained that we couldn't use our new toilet that they installed and asked why this wasn't a priority for them. The guy provided no answer but said he needed to reschedule us for next week. We put a stop payment on our check until they ceased dicking us around. Our next app't was set for Monday 9/15/25 with an 11-2 arrival time. No call. No show. Later, we got a text message to one of our cells saying they'd be here at around 3:30. No call. No show. We later got an email saying they'd be here by the next day. Remember, we couldn't use the toilet. We had another one, so were not completely screwed. But these people made little effort to fix their f*ck-up. We simply were not a priority for them. They finally showed up on 9/16 and replaced the wax ring in the toilet. Constant missed app'ts and piss-poor communication are no way to run a business. Call someone else. These guys are totally unreliable by every measure. read more

Braden showed up on time, and after a very friendly introduction, promptly went to work. All the time he was here he kept me informed about what needed to be done and how the work would be accomplished. He also took the time explain how his equipment worked to eliminate my issues. We had a pinhole leak in a copper pipe and I called them at 6pm at night. They walked me through how to temporarily stop it, and made me an appointment for 7am. My shower drain was clogged up so I went online looking for a good plumber and saw Hoffman plumbing with 5 star on it and has 57+ yrs in the plumbing business. So I made an appointment the plumber came and did his thing, and none of his equipment was working right, the motorized drain snake was getting all tangle and he said he will right back to get a jet stream water pressure machine and came back after like 30 minutes and had it all hooked up to the water line and that too wasn't working right. He was working on my drain for like 4 hrs and nothing was getting done because he was trying to figure out what was wrong with his equipment most of his time. Very unexperienced plumber and trying to figure out what to do next. He called his supervisor or lead to figure out what's wrong with the equipment and still no result in getting my shower drain unclog. So he said that he had to reschedule for tomorrow so he said that he needed to charge me for the work he has done and will only charge me for 1 1/2 hrs that cost me $337 for a drain that was never fixed. After he left I checked my shower drain with a flash light and saw metal object in the water trap and fished it out with my magnet stick and it was parts of his motorized drain snake. So I got a miss call from them the next day in the morning and I called back and told them what happened and they schedule me for around 1pm and that they will send someone with more experience in the field and that they will have to use a hydraulic jet stream that will cost me 375/hr. That is ridiculous for that price so I called back to cancel it. I called Rapid Rooter instead and they got there right away and it took only 40 minutes to get the clog out my shower drain with a motorized drain snake and I only paid quarter of what I paid Hoffman plumbing for not even getting it fixed. I would not recommend this company when it comes to plumbing needs, over priced and very inexperienced plumbers. read more

I had a problem with an install from geek squad where they broke a faucet off from my washer dryer area and it was spraying all over my house I ran outside to shut off the main and called hoffman plumbing. Brayden from Hoffman plumbing came over around 930 and spent two hours fixing the problem so I could use the water in my house. He was nice, helpful and did quality work as well as providing me with a company that could inspect my place for water damage. Also provided me with advice on the situation and gave me a slight deal on the parts needed for the fix. read more

Amazing. Best ever service from a plumber. From Annie, who got our appointment scheduled, to Alan, who did the plumbing work, I have never had a better experience with a plumber in Reno. Annie got it started by finding someone to help us on the 4th of July! Alan investigated the problem and found that the water heater igniter had gone bad. He replaced the water heater igniter efficiently and professionally. He has a great personality, and we hope to use him for all our plumbing needs in the future.
