Hoffa Bar is a sexy-chic bar with industrial-style interior, located in the city center a short walk from Václavské Námesti. After attending a celebration at the square, we stopped in to Hoffa for some late night food and drinks. Service was quite friendly and prompt. They have a wide selection of wines, spirits, and specialty cocktails. I ordered the Moscow Mule and was not too thrilled about it. But my friend enjoyed whatever drink she was having and ended up getting two more (is it bad I can't remember what she had?! lol) I got the chicken quesadillas to munch on. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by just how GOOD those quesadillas tasted! The chicken was well seasoned, cheese perfectly melted, and the accompanying salsa tasted freshly-made. They state that their kitchen uses fresh ingredients and I could honestly tell from the taste of the vegetables. They stay open until pretty late (2am) and the kitchen serves until closing. The dim interior was quite intimate and seemed like a cool late night date spot. You can also go for lunch and have some homemade lemonade or homemade iced tea. Bar Hoffa was an absolutely fantastic bar IMHO. This place has the bar business down to a science from the entry way, to the functional layout all the way to the nicely organized menu. The beer/cocktail selection is eccentric and amazing. The food is also a thing of beauty with a big shoutout to the pork sandwich, that thing was absolutely amazing! This was a great, Yelp-aided find! We were staying at the Boscolo just up the street. And after returning from a day trip, we wanted something to eat but were also a bit over Czech food. It is certainly delicious, but it tends to be so heavy and potato and carb loaded and we really just wanted a good drink and something lighter to eat. We also wanted it to not be too far away because....well, we were tired. A quick Yelp search brought up Hoffa Bar. Literally on the same block, well-reviewed, and the type of food we were interested in! We quickly agreed we would go here. The food menu isn't terribly extensive. It is more about the drinks. There are several pages of libations to choose from, as well as wine and beer. We each got two different cocktails and they were scrumptious. But don't let that dissuade you from getting the food! We shared an order of bread, and I enjoyed the prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella, the gouda, and oh-my-goodness the grilled duck breast with cherry-onion chutney and rocket salad. The food was fantastic. The duck was certainly the stand out for me. Wonderfully cooked, and the chutney was really interesting and tasty! Our meal was really quite nice, and the service was pretty wonderful. Some might say small hipster bar, I say one of the best bars in Prague! I came across this bar by a chance when my friends suggested it as a place for our meet-up. I was smitten immediately by the simple industrial interior design, long wooden bar and blackboards with today's specials. Full bar with great cocktails, wine and micro-brewery beer is complemented by great choice of international food and/or snacks (depends on the time of the day). The work-days special lunch menu features at least one vegetarian item and salad so literally everybody can find something to eat. The staff is very nice, smiling, helpful if you're lost in the immense choice and you definitely don't feel like you're bothering them (which is the case in most Czech bars and restaurants). I also very appreciate the free tap water that they give you here when you ask for it (also very rare in the Czech Republic). Nice (and free) addition to all this is music (mostly lounge) played by different DJs, usually Wed-Sat. Oh, and did I mention that the bar is non-smoking? This place is perfect for late night food. And it's AAALLLL about the goat cheese salad! Sits perfectly on one of my favorite little squares. The giant windows offer great views. The prices are great. We got chips and salsa (chips made out of pita- classic) bread with oil and vinegar and all sorts of food. Dreamy. Very nice and friendly staff. Great lighting. Music wasn't too loud. The park right outside and across the street is a great place to go and sit after the meal. Take some time to enjoy the night with friends and enjoy a lovely night in Prague. What's not to like about this place? I randomly came across this bar/restaurant for a small meet up. The decor is pretty nice, trendy and clean. We immediately sat by the bar and were greeted nicely by the bartender. He was very polite and got our drinks right away! (which is really uncommon in Prague) They have a great selection of cocktails, and wines but serves only one type of beer. So I just went with the usual- beer, every time I was almost done with my beer the bartender would scoop in and ask if we wanted more. The service was exceptionally great! 5 stars to the awesome bartenders. I ordered 3 rounds of beer, my total was just 105 Czk (5USD) This is a non-smoking bar which I LOVE. If you'd like to have a smoke, they would ask you to step outside. They also have a great selection of food options but It's too bad I didn't get to try it. Was at bar Cílí and I met a bartender that worked at Hoffa. Decided to stop in and was blown away by the quality and care that went into the drinks. The espresso martini is the best that I have ever had and their rum based drinks are excellent.
