Kafe DAMU offers a cool retreat from the busiest tourist spot in Prague. Came here after many recommendations from the Hones Guide Prague videos and was not disappointed. The crowd was primarily students, as this is a cafe inside a college building, and the vibe was chill. We came here after (early) dinner for dessert and coffee/tea. We tried a chocolate cake that was pretty good, which was also true for the drinks. Overall, I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a quick coffee fix in a busy touristy area.

The cafe and esthetic is conducive for working. However, the staff is not friendly towards foreigners.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere here , the staff was friendly . The reason why they didn't get 5 stars is because this place gets pack really easy and the chairs were so uncomfortable. But I loved my cappuccino and pistachio cheesecake.

We came here after reading a number of good reviews however it was just okay. The service was average and the food was nothing special. The cafe was very full with lots of university students working and the notice level was noticeable.

Americanos for 35 crowns each- pretty satisfied with the coffee here!

Pretty great cafe. It is rather spacious and bright and has two long tables in the middle perfect for studying. The music could be a bit lower in volume, but plugging in earphones does the trick if you're trying to work. I got an Americano for 35 crowns, and the coffee is quite good! Definitely worth the visit if you're looking for a place to grab a coffee and chill/work.

Vietnamese coffee, latte, and honey cake. We came here everyday during our stay here at Prague. Great coffee, good beers, chic ambience.

Tasty, affordable breakfast at an average European cafe speed. Bagel with cream cheese, tomato and arugula was my go to.

We came here on a recommendation from a friend who had a just been in Prague…read more I love cocktails and the promise of fancy drinks in an underground bar had me salivating. That said, we got there right when the opened. Were the only people in the place for our visit. And I felt painfully underdressed. We had just come back from a day trip where we were outside and walking in the heat for about 6 hours. We were not properly dressed for this place. It is NICE. Not necessarily fancy-cocktail-dress-nice, but I would have preferred to have been in a sundress or a skirt...or at least not wearing worn out tennis shoes... It is super dark, and I took no shame in using my phone's flashlight to read the menu. :-P For under 185 CZK ($8.50) you can get a traditional, non-signature cocktail. Think a daquiri or a mojito or a fancy gin and tonic. For their signature cocktails, you can expect to pay 195-300 CZK ($8.80-$14) for a drink. You can also expect to be WOWed. The cocktails are spins on traditional ones, and are inspired by famous people or notable Czech people. And they are served with a sense of humor! Consider the Flamingo. A sweet, fruity drink inspired by Marilyn Monroe, served in a mason jar balanced on a tiny inflatable flamingo! I ordered the KV Julep (because those are my initials and as a Kentucky gal...I gotta try a julep!) It is inspired by Bedrich Smetana (a composer), made with Becherovka (a liquor made in nearby Karlovy Vary/Carlsbad) and served in a traditional "mug" from the town meant to walk around while 'taking the waters' in the spa town. You drink it through the handle, which is made to be a straw so you sip a beverage from the bottom of the cup. With the way a julep is made (lots and lots or crushed ice piled up above the lip of the glass) this is the perfect kind of cup to drink from! At the time I got the drink, though, I did not yet realize that the handle was effectively a straw, and when I asked the waitress she seemed confused. I figured it out, though. She was super nice though, and made us feel a little less awkward about looking (and probably smelling) like we had hiked up a mountain. We all shared our drinks and all of them were delicious! They accidentally made a Crazy in Love cocktail (inspired by Beyonce, with pisco, and served in a birdcage with a spritz of her signature perfume on the cage to add to the experience) and let us have it for free. This place is really kind of cool! The atmosphere is fun and interesting, the signature cocktails are interesting and delicious! If you are looking for a few fancy drinks in Prague, I would absolutely recommend you pay a visit to Le Valmont!
