Popped in here for a quick drink, espresso, martini, and cashews. The cashew order was very interesting because the server made it abundantly clear that they were chicken cashews and not regular cashews but when the cashews came, I didn't notice anything about them that seemed to indicate they were chicken maybe it's just the flavor of the salt or he wanted to make sure that if I was a vegetarian, I knew that there was some risk I would be eating chicken product. A bit gimmicky and a place full of expats -- I still loved it though because the drinks were AMAZING!!! Cocktails are crafted with talent and a lot of thought. You can see from the window how cozy and inviting this place is. My friend and I had just come out of the theater nearby and could not resist the call to go in as we walked by. It's well-situated in Old Town, and close to many other Prague attractions. The Hemingway Bar is a prohibition themed place with a creative cocktail menu. The bartenders are excellent...true masters of their craft. And you truly can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Since the place is geared towards tourists, in my opinion, the places are slightly high (for Czech standards) but on par with what you'll find at any of the top cocktail bars in Prague. All in all, if you're looking for something different, it's a "must stop" while in Prague. Reservations are recommended for a table but you can opt to sit at the bar. What a great experience. We had a short wait, but the staff would check in with us and thank us for our patience. We were seated at the bar and Milan was our waiter. So nice. And the drinks? Forget about it. AMAZING. Each drink was made with such care. I had the Oak park fountain and a Manhattan. The oak park fountain is an absinthe drink and it was amazing, so was the Manhattan. They don't take reservations after a certain time at night so I suggest going early. The cocktail themes are whimsical, who would have thought I'd fall in love with wasabi in my cocktail? Hemingway's is the cocktail spot in Prague, and may be one of my new, all time favorites. Each cocktail is exquisitely crafted by a knowledgeable mixologist, and then presented in detail when served. The concoctions were unique, whether it be the types of ingredients or grad of liquor. We heard reservations were needed but lucked out and were able to get seats at the bar. The rules said not to engage with your neighbors, but we were allowed to talk to the other Americans at the bar without a problem. If you are interested in merch, they will accompany you to the store chest in the back to help with the selection process. I wish I had time to sample down more of the menu.
