Large selection of cocktails, tasty and well presented. There was only on bar tender, but she was very attentive considering how many people were there. Cute space, with modern funky decor.

Totally cool underground bar, the cheese plate with honey was perfect with wine. If you play piano your welcome to sit and entertain. Great vibe.

One of those "as good as it gets" if any bar in Prague's emerging cocktail scene deserves a five star its Blah Blah. This place truly has it going on, and it does so in style. Walking down into the basement bar, you're immediately struck by how different this place is than most typical bars in the area. The decor is showy but in a really fun way; particularly in the back lounge areas. Its almost as if a newspaper and and old novel partied a bit too hard and trashed the walls and ceilings. Take for example one of the corners; a load of old books were hung on the wall, and in marker "its time to drink" was scribbled over the pages pointing to a clock. Very cool. the seating is eclectic, ranging from old school wooden chairs to an old man sleeper chair, none of which match one another. The drink menu is composed mainly of one off cocktails. Who ever put this amalgamation of spirits tougher was very clever, and very good at making unique drinks. I stuck mainly with the gin drinks; the "I'm damn good" (blueberry inspired), and "holy salad" (raspberry) were exceptional. I did stray from gin a bit, and ventured into one of my happy places called scotch land for a bit; the "banana fashioned" (exactly what it sounds like), was truly unique. I'd venture to say even a non scotch lover would probably like it as it was quite sweet. Blah Blah also offers up a full menu of beer and wine, but that's not really why one comes here, this place is all about the mixed drinks. I will say that compared to other bars in the city, this place runs on the pricey side; put it this way, a beer can be found for 50 CZK or less (about 2 bucks), and the drinks here are in the 150+ range (6ish dollars per drink). Coming from NYC this still seemed like a bargain to me, and the fact that they take cards made it a null issue (if you've never been to the Czech Republic, paying in cash is standard and bills denominations get quite high..think 2000 and 5000 notes). The staff is pleasant as can be, if you're looking for some superbly made drinks in a unique setting then Blah Blah should suit you quite nicely. When you're done head over to Parlour, its right around the corner and also worth Czech-ing out (sorry, had to).

Not only does Absintherie serve as a beautiful absinthe bar, it's also a small absinthe museum! They have displays with fascinating information about the history of absinthe, and items related to the making of absinthe. Since it's a Prague specialty, I chose to drink macerated absinthe. It was so fun to watch the bartender expertly handle the drink and the flames. Once my drink was made, I wandered around Absintherie while enjoying my drink and enjoying the displays and learning omre about absinthe. They used to sell absinthe ice cream here, according to a blog I read back in the early 2010s. Unfortunately, due to regulations in Prague, absinthe ice cream is no longer offered. However, the bartender who served me quickly whipped up a small bowl for me. When I asked him how much I owe him, he said don't worry about it, they only give it to nice people. That was so sweet and nice of him!!! 5 stars for sure!!!!! Thank you Absintherie for being such a memorable absinthe bar in Prague!

Instagram reels led us here, the experience looked awesome through a lens. Reservations were booked…read moreweeks in advance but we decided to test our luck as it opened and got lucky with a walk in. This is a speakeasy where you spend 1.5-2 hours choosing drinks solely from illustrations that fit into a story. You truly don't know what the drink will be aside from the types of alcohol and a few words to describe the flavor profile. There were about 6 sections for 3-4 guests in a party, which is why reservations were highly recommended. The server then comes over with the cards and describes the concept. He does ask if there were any alcohols we didn't like, then gave us the cards to choose from. A few minutes later he came back and took them to get our drinks prepared. The drinks did take a little while to prepare. The server, who was now masked, delivered our drinks. They were served with different decorations or props to enhance the story telling. Each drink was quite different and were definitely well crafted. We ended up each having two rounds but there were probably 10 drinks to choose from. Pros -This concept is quite unique, and stood out over other speakeasies in Prague. -It's intimate and classy, and the ambiance offers an elevated experience. -The story telling element added another layer of experience, you would likely order more drinks to figure out the story. How they presented each cocktail was also very photo friendly. Opportunities -You could see your neighbors experience in front of you, which took away that surprise element that they were going for. You'd see their drinks roll by and would see what's coming. We also saw their reactions to their drinks so we knew what not to order. I wish there were curtains separating each party so it was really a surprise. -I wish the staff were in masks the entire time, it would be more spooky and true to how social media presents this place. They only wore them to bring drinks over. -Drinks were upscale but definitely an acquired taste. We liked some more than others. Overall this place is unique, and with a few tweaks on tiny details, I think would be phenomenal.
