    Few of the cocktail selections

Came in for a cocktail and to check out the view. The elevator is near the garages. We were promptly seated at a little cocktail table by the hostess and a small container of popcorn was brought out, which was interesting. The cocktails were innovative and tasty but priiiiicey (American hotel prices). We just had the one and moved on quickly to a more local spot. The patio looks like it has a lovely view - perhaps more enjoyable in the spring/summer than in the freezing cold winter! NB: all the of the hostesses and waitresses are wearing Ted Baker dresses. A random and interesting collaboration or are all these ladies made of money??

My wife and I had a night cap here. It is a hidden gem on the 9th floor of the Hilton Prague. We were greeted as we walked in by the hostess, who was nice. We took a seat at the bar and the bartender was ready to take our order immediately. Our empty glasses didn't sit long. We both had two very unique drinks each. I'll admit one of my drinks was a little too unique. My wife described my breath to a burned down house. I agreed. Very weird taste. My wife enjoyed both of her drinks. One was very gingery and the other was a tasty pineapple and cardamom concoction. The menu is very different and they get points for that. It isn't, however, for everyone. They do serve beer and other spirits for those not so adventurous types.

Views are great, but service was pretty slow when we were there. So after being ignored for like 15min, we left without having placed any order. Prices are comparatively high.

Great meal with the convenience of being at the top of my hotel. Lobster had a great texture and risotto was cooked beautifully. View was a a treat and great end to the day.

One of the best views in Prague, extremely nice staff, beautifully decorated. Moderately priced but worth the money.

Enormous portions by European standards. Yummy salad, mushroom sauce gnocchi, not so tasty hot chocolate, yummy Reisling and Lots of forks and spoons type experience. Almost 360 view of Prague. A nice place to relax during the day and you can get that busy feeling at night.

We found out about Cloud 9 from Mishka's list of the best places in Prague. She was right. It was a fun experience. The views from the lounge of the skyline are great. The drinks were creative and mixed well. The seating was comfortable and the ambience was upscale. Our service was prompt all night long. The prices were reasonable. I would note that the surrounding neighborhood seemed a little shady after midnight. We missed the last metro, so we had to walk back to old town. In retrospect, it would have been a better idea to call a cab from the Hilton.

One of my most favorite bars in Prague, amazing views, great atmosphere and interesting cocktails. Highly recommended!

One of the loveliest places in town to enjoy a cocktail. The view from the top floor is spectacular. In the summer the have 2 patios to enjoy your drinks outside. The interior has lovely furniture and as of recently is non-smoking which moves it up the list in my book. The servers are efficient and speak excellent English. The cocktail list is creative, although some creations are pricy. I would suggest a reservation so you aren't disappointed. Reservations can be made thru an online portal.

The Cloud 9 Sky Bar at the Hilton Hotel is amazing!! We've sampled their cocktails at the Prague Food Festival in past years and have been up to the bar a few times during visits to the city. This last time we decided to splurge a bit and really enjoy ourselves and we had a truly amazing evening. The staff is very professional and attentive and we were never without a drink or something small to nibble on. We sat at both a lounge and at the bar- I recommend the bar as you will get some face time with the bartenders who can offer you advice on what to order. The staff on the bar are really talented and are entertaining with their conversations and bar flair tricks. The bartenders even took our suggestions on new shots to create and ingredients to add to their current cocktails. We all had fun trying them and even the bartenders joined in on the tasting. The liquors and ingredients in the cocktails are all top shelf and even though the drinks are not cheap, they are unique and I feel worth the price they charge. Not only does Absintherie serve as a beautiful absinthe bar, it's also a small absinthe museum! They have displays with fascinating information about the history of absinthe, and items related to the making of absinthe. Since it's a Prague specialty, I chose to drink macerated absinthe. It was so fun to watch the bartender expertly handle the drink and the flames. Once my drink was made, I wandered around Absintherie while enjoying my drink and enjoying the displays and learning omre about absinthe. They used to sell absinthe ice cream here, according to a blog I read back in the early 2010s. Unfortunately, due to regulations in Prague, absinthe ice cream is no longer offered. However, the bartender who served me quickly whipped up a small bowl for me. When I asked him how much I owe him, he said don't worry about it, they only give it to nice people. That was so sweet and nice of him!!! 5 stars for sure!!!!! Thank you Absintherie for being such a memorable absinthe bar in Prague!

Reservations were booked…read moreweeks in advance but we decided to test our luck as it opened and got lucky with a walk in. This is a speakeasy where you spend 1.5-2 hours choosing drinks solely from illustrations that fit into a story. You truly don't know what the drink will be aside from the types of alcohol and a few words to describe the flavor profile. There were about 6 sections for 3-4 guests in a party, which is why reservations were highly recommended. The server then comes over with the cards and describes the concept. He does ask if there were any alcohols we didn't like, then gave us the cards to choose from. A few minutes later he came back and took them to get our drinks prepared. The drinks did take a little while to prepare. The server, who was now masked, delivered our drinks. They were served with different decorations or props to enhance the story telling. Each drink was quite different and were definitely well crafted. We ended up each having two rounds but there were probably 10 drinks to choose from. Pros -This concept is quite unique, and stood out over other speakeasies in Prague. -It's intimate and classy, and the ambiance offers an elevated experience. -The story telling element added another layer of experience, you would likely order more drinks to figure out the story. How they presented each cocktail was also very photo friendly. Opportunities -You could see your neighbors experience in front of you, which took away that surprise element that they were going for. You'd see their drinks roll by and would see what's coming. We also saw their reactions to their drinks so we knew what not to order. I wish there were curtains separating each party so it was really a surprise. -I wish the staff were in masks the entire time, it would be more spooky and true to how social media presents this place. They only wore them to bring drinks over. -Drinks were upscale but definitely an acquired taste. We liked some more than others. Overall this place is unique, and with a few tweaks on tiny details, I think would be phenomenal.

I had bookmarked Tynska recently and noticed it was only a few blocks away, so we walked over. In a city that confuses me every single time I round a corner, Tynska was actually easy to locate. About time that happened! It's not too far from Old Town Square, for context. When we arrived, the door was locked in speakeasy fashion. Turns out you need to ring the bell to be allowed in. Cool way to control crowds! I'm not sure if there was a dress code or not. My roommate and I were dressed normally for the season and were permitted inside without a reservation. Perhaps they're more strict later in the night or if there's limited seating. I checked in on Yelp and an ad popped up for a free snack plate. My server didn't know about it but asked the bartender, who accepted the coupon. What arrived was seriously beautiful: a tray of delicious cheeses (four different kinds, I believe), crackers, and a semi-sweet jam. We were also given a cup of popcorn mixed with potato chips and a separate bowl of green and black olives. So good!! For drinks, my roommate ordered a red wine, which she deemed "awesome." I chose the Life is Beautiful cocktail -- made with aperol, elderflower liquer, fresh lime, and topped with Laurent Petrier Champagne. At 295 crowns ($12), it was a splurge but totally worth it considering it was likely the best cocktail I've had in months. The decor here was dim, cool and ritzy. Think Mad Men styling. Perfect for a night out with a few close friends, a date, or to enjoy solo seating at the bar. Better than a club night? I'd say there's no comparison.
