My bike was initially returned with the bald tires I had specifically asked to replace, and several other concerns--including ghost shifting, missed gears, and a potentially bent crank--were not addressed. The bike was in the shop for nearly two weeks, and I still have ghost shifting and complete gear skipping on the larger chainring. My saddle height was changed despite my specific request to preserve the saddle position marked with electrical tape. I attempted to follow up by phone and text but received no response. The staff were friendly and were able to throw on a pair of tires in about 15 to 20 minutes . I wanted to support a local shop, but the lack of communication and incomplete work made the $300+ cost difficult to justify. Based on my experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere for more involved/specialized road-bike service.

Service can't be beat and prices are more than fair!…read more We came in to the area to do some riding at Kickapoo for the weekend but I panicked when I remembered that my sisters bike wasn't shifting and my dads bike sounded like it was having problems in the bottom bracket. Started calling around in Danville, worried we were going to be out the bikes for the weekend since it was such short notice for the repairs. Turns out I worried in vain! Keith told me he had any necessary parts in stock and he'd get us on the trail by the next day. I brought both bikes in late afternoon and had them back next morning! Keith replaced a shifter, changed out the broken bottom bracket, adjusted the derailluers, replaced a badly frayed brake cable, reset the disc brakes that were poorly installed on my dads bike and basically did everything possible to make sure we had a safe, fun weekend on the trails. And boy did we ever! Turns out these guys also help maintain and keep open the Kickapoo trails for us all to enjoy. Great job and a big pat on the back to all the KMBC people and THANK YOU!! Nirvana trail is AWESOME! Can't wait to come back next year! After reading reviews and hearing good things about Gray Goat from friends, I decided to take my bike here for a spring tuneup. No appointment was needed, although you might want to call ahead and confirm - they get very busy in the spring/summer (as you can imagine). I was told it would be about three weeks, and it ended up taking about four weeks. Plan ahead if you need or want your bike within a certain time frame! After 3.5 weeks, I called to get an update, and the employee was super friendly and explained they were a bit behind schedule because of demand. A few days later, I received a text message that my bike was ready for pickup. Really pleased with my experience with Gray Goat and highly recommend doing business here! Aside from the service shop, you can come here to browse new bikes, equipment, etc. The employees seem really knowledgeable about the products and all things cycling.
