Thinking to myself, what woman is gonna turn down Donuts??? My 2yr old grandbaby starts chanting Donuts Donuts with her Uncle...40 yr old Uncle We get to McHappys which is very easy to locate, thanks to the signage for directions. Its a cute little brown building with a very eye-pleasing Logo Sign. We go inside (tiny parking lot also) but they do offer a drive-thru! Calliope my 2yr old, her eyes get wide and glassy as her Uncle takes her closer to the showcase. The employee was super friendly! My immediate thought was, this room is bright cheery and smells like Bakery Heaven...I could live here!! I tell her we want 6 Donuts and Calliope chooses first a Cake Donut with Pink Strawberry Icing with Pink & White Sprinkles, I choose 2 Glazed and A chocolate Nut Icing Glazed for my Hubby and my son Chooses a Glaze and for his 2nd a Blueberry Cake Glazed Donut! I was tempted to get a few cookies, whooping Pies and Cupcakes because everything looked so yummy and festive! But I did choose a Canoli and a piece of Baklava! In total it was $19.02 and I left her a tip of $3 in her tip glass! I definitely recommend if you are in the Athens area to swing by. Its located beside Taco John's which we plan on trying next time we are in Athens, Ohio. Thanks for the Yummy Treats McHappys we definitely left very MCHAPPY!!!

We were visiting the area for Thanksgiving - this one popped up with some good reviews…read more The building is unassuming, but the inside is cute! Place is bright and clean. The lady working had wonderful customer service. She was very helpful and cheerful when she found out we are new to this shop. We went home with half dozen, muffin and a canoli. She said everything is baked from their bakery and shipped to store. Their donuts are good, fluffy and moist.. all providing a mouth feel and not...dry and sad like a lot of places. My husband loved the canoli. I would highly recommend! Limited variety compared to some, but they are good with that they do have!

This sliver of a bakery is the little bakery that could as it opens under new management again…read more Just love that we can get fresh baked bread that isn't just the expected. Athens has options in this department with the Saturday Farmer's Market replete with at least four terrific options. But on a regular day the Athens Bread Company has you covered with lots of bread options and a few sweets. The monkey bread is a little too good frankly. I want to call out one bread in particular -- the Danish style rye bread that they make once a week. Was Wednesdays under the previous owners. Seems to be Thursdays now. Way back with the original owner, a Danish exchange student brought in a family recipe in hopes she could get this taste of home. They have been making it since. My Danish partner approves and she would say if it was sub-par.

So unbelievably happy we stopped into this bakery on our recent trip through Ohio!…read more Don't let the size of their shop fool you-- The footprint may be small but their huge selection of breads, pastries, and panini sandwiches is exactly what you'd want from a place like this. We needed lunch, and after talking to who I believe is Tim, the head baker, my hubby and I took his recommendations and couldn't have been happier. My husband's name is Kevin, so he ordered "The Kevin," which is turkey, cheddar, house-made coleslaw, and pickles. He DEVOURED it! Then wanted another! I ordered "The Laurie," which is roasted beets, Laurel Valley cloverton cheese, black pepper, arugula, and a balsamic drizzle.... People...! THIS is my new favorite sandwich of all time! It is so unique and refreshing and I am currently trying to recreate it at home! (I just need that BREAD!) I can't say enough great things about Athens Bread Company, and we can't wait to stop in again on our way from Michigan to Louisville in a few months. If you're in the Athens area, make it a point to stop and try something! Anything! Grab a loaf, a sandwich, and a bottle of flavored balsamic vinegar or oil..... I promise you won't be sorry! :)

We went to Provisions three times during a three-day visit to Lancaster. That probably tells you…read morewhere this review is headed. Visit #1 was supposed to be "just coffee." Visit #2 was lunch with five adults and two kids. I had the turkey Reuben, which was awesome. Anjelina had the chicken salad, and the rest of the group worked their way around the menu. Everything was good, and the service handled our larger group well. Visit #3 was breakfast. Anjelina and I both went with the avocado toast, hers on gluten-free bread and mine straight up. Both were very good. But one of the biggest reasons Provisions gets high marks from us is how seriously they take food allergies. We travel with our usual collection of dietary complications: Anjelina has gluten and dairy issues, while I bring a tree-nut allergy and Alpha-Gal to the party, plus the diabetes kicker. Provisions was VERY allergy-conscious. They understood the issues, changed gloves before preparing food for someone with an allergy, and generally acted like food allergies were something to manage carefully rather than an inconvenience. That matters. Now, about those baked goods... Outstanding. I tried the pumpkin brown sugar cookie and the apple hand pie. Both were excellent. Anjelina got the gluten-free oatmeal cookie sandwich -- twice. And I have to admit something that pains me slightly: the gluten-free oatmeal cookie sandwich won. Both times. The atmosphere is open, casual and energetic. It has a good vibe, although when it gets busy the room can get pretty loud. It worked great for our family lunch, would be an easy choice for a casual business meal, and definitely works for anything from a coffee date to a relaxed breakfast or lunch date. Three visits in three days: coffee, lunch and breakfast. Provisions delivered every time. And apparently I now have to live with the knowledge that the gluten-free cookie was better than mine.

Her recommendation did not disappoint! Everything about Provisions is cute - the ambiance, the decor, the staff, etc! I loved that they were having St. Patrick's Day specials in lieu of St. Patrick's Day when we were there so I went with both specials. I ordered a hot Irish Cream Latte and the Reuben. The Irish Cream Latte was SO good! It was creamy and sweet! It was topped off with green whipped cream and sprinkles which was super cute! The Reuben was good too, but super messy! I ended up forking and knifing it! The corned beef was super tasty and tender! I guess all sandwiches come with either a bag of chips or a fruit bowl option! I wish I had known that beforehand as I thought that only chips were available. My girlfriend got the fruit bowl and it looked like a decent size of fresh fruit! She also got the Club Sandwich which she said was her favorite! I definitely want to come back again (especially with my daughter)! They have so many coffee, pastry, sandwich, and salad options available that I'm sure my daughter would enjoy Provisions too! Other notes: - Complimentary glasses of water are available! - Both sides of the restaurant are covered with a wine wall ranging from dry to sweet wines! Opportunity: - When ordering sandwiches, please let the customer know that they have the option to grab a bag of chip or fruit bowl.

Had to try the corned beef reuben hot with sauerkraut, Swiss, and Thousand Island on rye. Delivered as you can see in the picture. Potato salad side was creamy and didn't have the bullshit filler that sometimes degrades potato salad. And the potatoes weren't mush, they were crisp. I got the Supreme to go and it held up 7 hours later for dinner. Roasted beef, fresh mozzarella, and onions with optional bacon added. Bread was soft but again, not mush. My dining companion got the Hot One ie pepperoni, hot cappicola, provolone, Tabasco, deli dressing with added banana peppers. He thanked me for doing some homework and finding this place on our way through Circleville coming from an event at Deer Creek State Park. Conveniently located right on the main drag of Circleville with ample free street parking plus a parking lot for the store. Four tables inside.
