We bumped into Santa tonight at Rick's :) 20 years ago my…read morehusband and I had our first date at a tiny little chocolate factory in Riga, Lativa. So, tonight I took him up to Rick's Fine Chocolates & Coffee for a re-create. We got a small latte, a medium breve and 8 chocolates for about twenty bucks. We both enjoyed our coffee, and our chocolates, we sampled a Cashew Wurtle, a dark chocolate peppermint patty, a dark chocolate lemon cream, dark chocolate strawberry cream, dark chocolate cookie dough, a butter finger and each got a dark chocolate caramel (the last of which we are saving for tomorrow). We enjoyed them all, especially the Wurtle and lemon cream. The cookie dough was more like a brownie bite, but delicious as well and the size of the chocolates are nice and petite. For sugar free folks, they also have a nice selection of sugar free chocolates as well! The tables were clean and the seating area isn't entirely spacious, so tables are close, but it didn't feel cramped. Just your standard table and wooden chairs. But with old photo's of old town Guthrie, a painted tin roof and half wall it feels very sweet. There were very few people in the shop when we entered but at about 4:30 there was a bolt of people and it filled up quickly. Great for a small little date night dessert or an afternoon get together with a friend to chat. We will be back :)

Saw Hoboken Coffee's hateful post regarding LGTBQ people on FB. I'm Boycotting Hoboken Coffee as a matter of ethics. There are plenty of places to get a cup of coffee without endorsing hatred. Hoboken Coffee has the right to speak their mind on Facebook. 1A, free country, all that. However, now that I know their small- minded, hateful mindset towards fellow human beings, I exercise my right to avoid these hate-mongers. One potential customer they can easily write off, and curse me as they do. What about your mindset? By frequenting this business, any and all customers willingly give assent to Hoboken Coffee's extremist, hateful views. Do you hate also? read more

I am a sucker for a hipster cafe in the middle of small town USA. Being a former Jersey Girl I was drawn in by the name but stuck around for the delicious taste and smell of freshly roasted coffee. Coffee the particularly cheap, I think $5.25 for a 20oz and it was flavored! Fairly basically desserts or they may have just been picked over by the time I arrived after 4. There is an indoor and outdoor space, lots of people working from laptops and the service was excellent. Highly recommend this place! read more

Hoboken coffee roasters is owned by a man with not only hateful views, but dangerous ones. Customers should be aware of where their money goes. Women and queer people steer clear. We were quite surprised when we were told the milk would actually be coming IN the teapot and not on the side. We asked specifically if it was going to come IN the pot, and the cashier said, "Oh, yes!" When the teapot arrived at our table, the tea was steeping IN the milk and water and it was a murky, dishwatery-colored liquid not resembling a proper pot of tea. So, we waited, hoping the tea would indeed steep properly. My poor, British friend was horrified that a tea shop anywhere would 'mash' their tea IN the milk as opposed to adding milk after it had brewed. We visited for a while, hoping the tea would get stronger, but unfortunately it lacked most of the lovely flavors we anticipated when smelling a sample of it on the extensive tea wall. Furthermore, our unimpressive pot of tea was $10 ($6 without milk and an added $2 for each of us to have milk). We both felt the concept was very unique and were excited to try a tea shop in Stillwater. However, our first visit very much missed the mark and our disappointing initial experience will most likely not warrant a subsequent visit.
