We bumped into Santa tonight at Rick's :) 20 years ago my husband and I had our first date at a tiny little chocolate factory in Riga, Lativa. So, tonight I took him up to Rick's Fine Chocolates & Coffee for a re-create. We got a small latte, a medium breve and 8 chocolates for about twenty bucks. We both enjoyed our coffee, and our chocolates, we sampled a Cashew Wurtle, a dark chocolate peppermint patty, a dark chocolate lemon cream, dark chocolate strawberry cream, dark chocolate cookie dough, a butter finger and each got a dark chocolate caramel (the last of which we are saving for tomorrow). We enjoyed them all, especially the Wurtle and lemon cream. The cookie dough was more like a brownie bite, but delicious as well and the size of the chocolates are nice and petite. For sugar free folks, they also have a nice selection of sugar free chocolates as well! The tables were clean and the seating area isn't entirely spacious, so tables are close, but it didn't feel cramped. Just your standard table and wooden chairs. But with old photo's of old town Guthrie, a painted tin roof and half wall it feels very sweet. There were very few people in the shop when we entered but at about 4:30 there was a bolt of people and it filled up quickly. Great for a small little date night dessert or an afternoon get together with a friend to chat. We will be back :) read more

The kids are finally back to school, which means this mama can get things done in peace and quiet. But what better way to start my day? I nice beautiful and delicious coffee from Rick's. Their latest creation since June 2021 is the Bianco Americano aka Snow Ice cream coffee. It is photo worthy but delicious on the lips. Rick's fine chocolates and coffee is located in beautiful historic downtown Guthrie. They are locally owned and their staff is the best in the world. They have all sorts of candied chocolates, almond bark, Italian sodas,coffees, specialty drinks and lots of cute little gift items. The shop has so much charm. You come here to chit chat and relax if you want . Plus the added bonus of shopping downtown and supporting locally owned businesses. I will always support my town. read more

They know me by name, usually know what I'm going to order when I walk in, and their friendly staff, hands down, are the best baristas in town. Incredible variety of chocolates. Located in the heart of downtown Guthrie in a charming old building. They have everything from espressos to "ruby" pink chocolates. I got slices of their orange slice chocolate and was blown away by the freshness! It was perfection! I tried one ruby chocolate which had a hint of strawberry/raspberry taste it was okay but i preferred the dark chocolate which I'm typically more of a milk chocolate fan. Their cake pops were huge much larger than Starbucks could ever make! They were also so much richer with the cocoa taste as well. Only thing that i didn't like here was the fact that both girls behind the counter serving food products weren't wearing masks. I understand everyone is different but seeing as we are in a pandemic and this establishment services food i would've hoped they would. We also perused the selection of semi-precious gems offered for sale, but ended up just buying edible stuff. Nestled among other cool late Victorian buildings in downtown Guthrie. Great Coffee spot in Guthrie- don't sleep on this place!! Prices are great, coffee and espresso were tasty, and assortment of chocolate was to die for. If those don't interest you, they also have assorted teas (bulk and cups) to try as well. The place itself is very clean, and has seating for getting work done as well as relaxing. This is such a delightful coffee and chocolate shop in historic downtown Guthrie. The staff was friendly and the specialty latte was perfect. It was an exercise in restraint to not buy one of everything in the chocolate case, let me tell you. This is a really cute chocolate and coffee shop in downtown Guthrie. It's right by all the antique shops so very easy to find. A great place to stop to warm up on a cold day. The barista was really good. The menu is very vague and I wanted a lower calorie drink. She gave me several different options so I could choose which I preferred. My mocha latte was great. Piping hot and delicious. If I lived closer I would make this a regular stop. I sat and started reading my book when a local gentleman came up and started chatting with me. We had a wonderful conversation. Guthrie is a very friendly town. I would have loved to try their chocolates but I'm trying to eat less candy. read more

The service here is really great. The people are friendly and we enjoy coming here when we antique shop in Guthrie. The shop is quaint and has a nice selection of coffee and teas to choose from. They even have a large variety of hand dipped chocolates that are a fun treat to try. I personally like the dark chocolate orange slices. They are to die for! I always like to support local places so I really like that they feature upcoming artists on the wall. They also have historical photos of the town too. We have been in quite a few times at different times during the day and the tables and condiment area is in need of a good wiping. They always have a steady flow of customers, so I get they are busy. They might be a bit busier if they did more housekeeping. read more

This was a cool little coffee shop. It is in the heart of Guthrie surrounded by antique stores, and has a very vintage feel and environment. The coffee: I had an egg nog latte and it was really delicious! They also have a variety of confectionary items ranging from fudge to cake pops to chocolate bark, etc. I enjoyed the dark chocolate with almonds. The bathroom was clean. If in Guthrie, this is definitely a place to visit. read more

Where do you go after riding a trolley around town? The coffee and chocolate place, of course. We stepped into this quaint little store to decide where to go next, and to have a light snack. To my delight, they had a wide selection of sugar free chocolates!!! Yipppeee. My husband had the dark chocolate almond bark, and I had the almond butter crunch sugar free. Mmmm a chocoholic's dream. I got a carmel machiato as well, and it too was made specially for me. Sugar free. My husband isn't a coffee person, so he got water. He also spent time looking at the old photos of the area that adorned the walls. Used to love driving 40 miles from out of town to visit Rick's but visited today and none of the staff were wearing masks. One of the staff was sniffling while they rung up my $30 chocolate order. Really not cool. Unfortunately won't be able to visit or recommend this store anymore. A real disappointment. read more

I can't express enough gratitude towards the team at Ricks. My wife and I live in Texas and my wife was in Guthrie to see family. It also happened to be her birthday. I called the Ricks people and asked them to put together something for her. The team was amazing accommodative and thoughtful. They took the initiative to put together some special according to what I asked them to do. My favorite getaway. Only a 20 minute drive from OKC. This coffee shop is a great place to enjoy a good cup of joe and some amazing cake balls, or other chocolate treats. So I'll have to come back for the chocolates, but now that I know how great the coffee is I know that won't be an issue. We stopped by here during a trip to Guthrie at a friends suggestion for a close coffee run. They had your usual latte, mocha, blah blah menu but it gets really good at the flavors. The cashier pulled out a menu with almost 20 flavors on it! I went with peppermint and it rivaled Starbuck's holiday peppermint mocha latte. My friend ordered a peanut butter latte and wasn't impressed. I'll stop by if I'm ever back in town. read more

What a great gem! My fiance had to work while out of town for a wedding and I googled coffee shops till I found one that had wifi. Pretty, roomy and with super tasty coffee, desserts and chocolates ( and some sofas to sit on) this totally fits the bill. If I lived in Guthrie, i am pretty sure this would be my main hang out. Stopped in around 5:40pm last week when doing business in Guthrie, the young lady behind the counter was waiting on another couple who she was also carrying on a conversation with. I waited around 10 minutes was never greeted, never told I will be with you soon and nothing was said when I walked out the door. Cute little coffee cafe on Oklahoma Ave. where you'll find most of the shops and restaurants of downtown Guthrie. A bit cool inside with the fans (luckily I had a jacket in my car), but excellent free (password free) wifi, couches and enough tables and chairs where you feel you can loiter for awhile studying and sipping pretty delicious tea, such as the blackberry sage tea that I had iced (lovely flavor). The gourmet chocolates looked inviting and they also have the standard range of espresso and blended drinks as well as some sweet breads (you know, banana, etc.). Open even on Sunday until 5pm. Guthrie is pretty deserted, but this cafe is relatively lively, and there is all-day street parking right out front where you will find a space. Looks cozy with colors of orange, browns, and oh, also they have board games to play. read more

The last time I was there, I eavesdropped on a conversation between two movie producers having a casual meeting about their upcoming projects. Stopped in to this cool coffee shop while in Guthrie for a weekend outing. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is cozy, clean and comfortable. The coffee is fresh and absolutely delicious. We couldn't leave without trying the chocolates. We got a salted pecan caramel confection called a pecan wurtle. Divine!! read more

Ricks should be outlawed! The chocolate is excellent and once you have a piece you are hooked and making weekly trips that becomes a bad habit... :-) The coffee is very good and rivals the best coffee houses in Edmond. Sometimes they get really busy and it takes a while to get to order but the staff works quickly and is very polite.
