It's good. But expensive. Like... really expensive, even by inflated third wave coffee house standards. These are Silicon Valley coffee house prices (almost $6ish for an 8 oz, not even 12 oz). Parking is available in the front but it's only for a max of 90 minutes I believe. This suited my needs for my stop there but I'm sure is not ideal if you are hoping to study there. The baristas were all friendly. I ordered a dirty taro latte for there and took an iced matcha latte to go and they were both delicious. It did make me sad to see that they had a sign on their bathrooms that they were for customers only. I think it should be available for anyone that might need it. They had cute swinging chairs there that I was tempted to sit at however I was only there for a bit and needed to focus on work so had to opt to sit at a table instead. They didn't have any vegan baked goods but did have non diary alternatives for their lattes. read more

I'm writing this review because my son absolutely loves the hot cocoa from Balanced Coffee, so much so that when asked where he wanted to go for spring break he said, "the place with the hot cocoa." We literally stayed in town for this place. There's plenty of seating and the people have always been incredibly kind. All that said, after my first experience consuming something here, it'll be a long time until I do so again. If you have food allergies, please check, double check, and use caution. I made my dairy allergy very known on our first visit but still ended up very sick. I acknowledge that most of the people working at that time (several years ago) likely don't still work there now, but I don't know what kind of education they receive around food allergies. I'll continue bringing my son though. (Not sure how to assign stars, so I'm going with my best interpretation of "fair".) read more

Part of my DNA at this point. The iced S'mores Mocha makes it worth getting out of bed. The staff works hard to learn your name and order. Looks great inside also. Such a cute and trendy coffee shop, and they even have a delicious coffee selections. BUT, the best part is the friendly and knowledgeable staff!! We tried the Drip and few different specialty coffees (Hawaiian, Brown Sugar Latte & an iced specialty coffee I forgot the name of) and they were all delicious! Let me preface this by saying my criteria for grading is 0 complaints whatsoever! To couple that, I almost always get a cold brew when I try coffee shops! Balanced coffee only has seasonal cold brew. I don't get that?? You can use any bean to do that with, and just because it's winter doesn't mean you can't do a cold drink. That right there is my only complaint which is why I am giving 4 stars! I hate to do it, but have to stay true! Now the tough part is over GO HERE! The people are friendly, it's not too loud, the decor is awesome, they have games, comfy seats, MANY options, and overall it's just a great spot! They have multiple different beans also! My V60 was a great floral and citrus taste! The Latte my fiance' got had a bit too much milk, but was still good! Overall for my first coffee shop inn Stillwater I am beyond impressed! This place is amazing and it's probably a good thing it wasn't around when I was in college! The atmosphere was laid back and hip without being snobbish. Seriously great space for working or hanging out. The menu was vast and fun with lots of options. The staff were cheerful, helpful, and were all wearing a mask, which I greatly appreciated! I got the blackberry lavender latte and it was very yummy though blackberry was a little strong, but the drink was oh so smooth and beautiful latte art! This place is a gem. Cutest coffee shop in town. Love the ambience and plentiful seating, outlets, and plants. They take quite a bit of care in preparing coffee (a few different methods available, include some fancy ones that require special equipment), and they do a solid chai latte. They have a modest selection of pastries as well but not much else in the way of food. It's a little pricier than other places in town, but on par with good coffee shops in bigger cities, and you get what you pay for. I love the decor and aesthetic of this coffee shop. It's a great study place (as long as you can find a free table.). My favorite drink here is a cortado. I'm also a big fan of the hot chocolate with a single pump of vanilla. They only get four stars for the following reasons. I do not like the Italian cream sodas. They are not very sweet or flavorful. Additionally, the pastries have been consistently dry and unsatisfying. Now back to the good things, the staff are very nice, and they are fairly efficient at making drinks. (I would recommend ordering in a "for here" mug if you have the time!) I like their taste in music, and it isn't played too loud most days. Balanced Coffee Co. is legit! The coffee is fantastic (better than Aspen), the aesthetics are incredible, and the atmosphere is great. I came here with some friends while staying in Stillwater for a couple days, and I think it's safe to say that this is one of the coolest coffee shops that I've been to. The shop is HUGE, stretching through several different rooms, which offers more open seating towards the front of the store and a quieter room for studying towards the back. There are some really cool parts of Balanced specifically. First, the coffee. Having both Aspen coffee and Balanced coffee, I can say that Balanced coffee is far better. There is a fun coffee bar, as well as a little section of stationery materials like cards, calendars, and pens as well. Lastly, there are swings to chill on! This is super cool and a unique and fun perspective to a great coffee shop. I'm excited for Balanced, and it should be a huge hit in Stillwater! read more

Good vibes all around. Patient baristas who didn't roll their eyes when we asked about the different lattes on the menu. Great breakfast bowl, pop tart and cinnamon bread. Really enjoyed the iced silk latte, it's a little sweet, but we poured some of my fiancés iced americano into it and it was delicious. My friend got the iced lavender vanilla latte and it was delightful. Plenty of seating and a breath of fresh air compared to the other coffee chains in the area. They offer loyalty cards that lead to free drink after 9 visits as well so looking forward to accumulating more stamps and trying more beverages! read more

Absolutely exceptional coffee. I've had the vanilla bean latte, a regular latte with no flavor and a Carmel latte and all there were perfect. Definitely the best coffee in Stillwater. They serve Onyx coffee for those familiar with the NwA brand. They serve food on weekdays (they are trying to get a chef for weekends). The avocado toast was so delicious. The service is excellent. A fantastic coffee shop! Seriously bummed it wasn't open when I was in college at OSU. Gorgeous location with a ton of seating. A great place to meet up with a friend or catch up on some studying. It's in the heart of downtown with loads of cute shops nearby. I got a Iced Silk Latte. Normally I'm not a huge cold coffee drink person (except a good Nitro Brew!) but my friend was raving about it. Instantly love this coffeehouse. Great decor, very friendly staff and they employ Mahlkonig grinders and a la Marzocco espresso machine so they know what they're doing coffee-wise. Espresso by itself was delicious and is only served as a doppio which is the only way to do it. Enjoyable atmosphere with a great choice in music. The Chai was delicious and they have the perfect assortment of books, shirts, wrapping paper, and other miscellaneous items for purchase at the front of the store which really helps give you something to do during the short wait for your coffee. I'll for sure be back to use their wifi and/or to stop in for a quick caffeine fix. read more

Hands down the best coffee in Stillwater; espresso shots are perfectly pulled, lattes and cappuccinos are expertly made, and the baked goods and food are delicious. The space is also very nice; it's large, with a variety of seating arrangements: four-person and two-person tables, lounge chairs, bar seating, community tables in the back, and even wicker egg chairs suspended from the ceiling with bungee cords (be careful drinking a very full coffee in one of those!). It's a very large space, so unless it's extremely busy you're likely to find a spot -- I'd guess the seating capacity is 2 to 3 times that of the local Starbucks (and the coffee's exponentially better, so it's a win/win!) In a way, the opening of a coffee place like Balanced in Stillwater was inevitable. For years, I was amazed that towns much smaller (or crappier) than Stillwater had much better coffee shops. Before Balanced opened, Enid's main coffee shop was much better than anything in Stillwater! Enid! ENID! And, in an economy as small as Stillwater's, it's important that you make it clear that you want good quality things -- when a place like Balanced opens, it's your duty as a resident here to spend money there. Each dollar given to Balanced is a vote for things in town that are objectively good! One thing that's lacking is a nice outdoor seating area. There are two small metal tables outside, plus some public seating further down the block, but a nice patio setup would really do a lot for the place. They've even got an open lot right next to the building, though I'm not sure if they're allowed to use that space. read more
