New Ammara Granite 4x4.... + 1/10 scale traxxis they helped me repair after I couldn't quite get something right.

I have enjoyed the RC car hobby, especially with my kids. I've been going to this store and have purchased four RC units. It's been a lot of fun and their service is top-notch here. Every one of the guys here are great. I have worked with Gene and Mike in particular.. always A+ service. Another thing I like about all these guys they're very knowledgeable, and they just share so much information. Very educational. Today I was here and I forgot my remote and I was 2 miles away and they took the time to look up my number and called me. They're just great guys that enjoy what they're doing and have a good time. Lastly, their prices are fair. In this hobby, you're gonna have things that need to be maintained and repaired from time to time. So don't go on Amazon and buy from Jeff Bezos and then come here thinking that they can fix it when you just try to save $10. Support local and support these guys. Keep Austin weird and funky

My first time here I was not expecting much, but I have to admit this place is crammed full of hobby items, such as models, rockets, planes, and everything in between. One other thing I noticed is that they seem to have security cameras on every single aisle in this 2000 square-foot space (I counted 14). Yes, many yelpers have commented that you can find much of the stuff online, but it's much more exciting to see it all in one place at one time. Coming in here reminded me of my teenage years when I used to build models and dioramas. Along with all the model, rocketry, cars, planes, boats, they also have puzzles and toys. Many of their remote controlled items are close to $100 or more. Definitely a nice hobby shop if you're into this kind of thing. Plenty of pictures below to get you through the door.

The store has an amazing assortment of RC Cars and trucks. Unfortunately their service is lacking. Stopped by because I was somewhat in the area and needed parts but did not want to wait for them to ship via online. Associate started to help me, got some items together for me, "said be right back" after showing me to some QS8 plugs. I then waiting for him for about 5 mins, he walked past me and told the other guy he was going out for coffee. I told that other guy to ring my stuff and I'd be on my way. I'm done trying to support this pos store. Save yourself the gas and headache. Order online. Amain.com is amazing and fast.

Very inattentive, staff seem untrained and don't care to help the costumers. Buy online, avoid the hassle.

This hobby shop has a terrible inventory of small items needed to fly some of the models in their inventory.

Major issues I've encountered over the course of a year: * Invalidated Sign-ups: I signed up for a Union Arena demo event through the official Bandai app. Despite having a confirmed spot, the store told us upon arrival that it was "first come, first serve." This completely defeats the purpose of official registration and wastes players' time and money. * Lack of Transparency: When asked why they aren't using Bandai, I was told they "can't control who attends" if they use it. Meanwhile, regulars at the store mentioned they received personal phone calls from the shop to sign up before the general public could. * Gatekeeping Promos: During a Lorcana event, staff attempted to withhold promos, stating they were only for "league members" rather than distributing them to event participants as intended This store clearly prioritizes a small circle of "regulars" over following official tournament rules or respecting the time of new players. If you aren't part of their "inner circle," don't bother signing up through official channels they likely won't honor it.

I…read morewill also say I have been playing Magic the Gathering for about 26 years, I can say I am experienced with the game, having bought booster after booster. We purchased two booster packs(which were over the general price for a booster), they were different ones. We were not able to hold them till we paid for them, and when we walked out the door, holding them, something felt off with one of the packs in particular. It was incredibly loose. We got into the car and opened one and I noticed immediately, the cards were not in the same order. Usually it is common's, uncommons, rare, mythic , land, then foil and token(if they have a token). This was arranged Token first, uncommon, rare, land and foil mixed within commons. We just got through purchasing cards from another shop, and we compared the packaging and it looks like they were opened down the center and resealed. Not only that, they smelled like - fruity vape (which we do not vape), so it feels like someone was vaping, going through cards, pulling out the expensive ones(because there was not a card in the pack over .35 cents), and filling it with random crap, and then resealing it, and then selling it for over $10. Now I am not saying the owner is aware of it, but something is wrong. I would have written the store(hoping to catch the owner), but the staff are terrible at returning communication with customers, and if something shady is happening, I doubt it would get to the owner anyway. So hopefully this reaches them and they figure out what is going on(shady employees, shady supplier, whatever is it), and it stops. For anyone looking to shop here, check out your booster before you buy it. If it is loose or anything looks weird, ask them to grab another. Do some research on how to tell if your booster has been opened, it is not hard for people to do now days.

The woman at the counter told me 80% which was perfect for what I wanted. The following Monday I brought in 10 high value MTG cards - almost entirely secret lair that I've collected over the last few years. I was offered much lower than I expected but I understand card values change and I was told previously that they bought at 80% so I assumed that was what they were offering. It's on me for not double checking but I trusted them based on what I was told before. It still felt off by the time I got home so I double checked and did some math and it didn't add up. Called the next day to confirm the trade in percentage - this time I was asked if it was Pokemon, MTG or Sports card. That's when I was told it was actually 65% for MTG. If I had known that I would have kept my cards. Multiple people expressed interest in my cards while I was still in the store so I know these will move fast. I really wish whoever I spoke with on the first day had clarified what kind of cards I was bringing in. If I had known I wouldn't have sold them in the first place and found an alternative. I received a reply on my google reviews that this was a miscommunication on their part and I think the store should make it right based on their mistake.

The music was great and he was very informative about what I was looking for. Nicely hooked me up with their monthly program so I can get all the comics I needed, and they were on point for about six months. Then comes my birthday, very excited to bring my son in and grab my monthly comics. I called the shop on the day of my birthday and the lady owner answered the phone, at this point I have met all the gentleman and just wanted to introduce myself. Me: " Hello who am I speaking with? Her: " I didn't give a name" Me: " correct that's why I'm asking" Her: what can I do for you" Me: " id like to know who I'm speaking with please" Her " This is Kings Cache" Me" I understand that I'm a new member and just checking in on my comics" then her tune changed. Graciously she wanted to be friendly instead of acknowledging me from the beginning and being secretive and ominous. All of this came from her with a very cantankerous attitude and resistance to lead with the right customer service. They have caller ID there, so usually when I call the fellas already acknowledge me but name. Can't believe the fake high road this lady wanted to drive on. I've had nothing but great experiences and then I call and she gives me two shades of gray. Buyer beware, they are nice til they grab ya, then ounce they have you, the care to get to know you or give you the respect you deserve is obsolete. The one gentleman is great the other two could care less for you. Austin Books and Comics and Batcity comics have now graciously taken my business. Which is good because if I see another funko pop my head will explode. Stick with dolls and leave the comics to the big boys. Just because it's a hobby doesn't mean you have to give it a bankers mentality. Ebay, Other stores and Collector conventions offer too much competition. Be better humans. You made this guy feel awful on a day that was so important you won't realize. At the end of the day you just had to be nice, you know who you were and to that my circles and collectors corners will not drive from hill country anymore to spend our disposable income. Thank goodness Batcity just opened up. Can get two more comics for the gas saved!!! I hope this helps do better, because I'm still reeling and this message doesn't do what I witnessed justice.
