Karen in the fabric part of the store was very patient and helpful! She got me the 3 fabrics I wanted and told me the price before she cut to make sure it's what we wanted. Great staff and some decent deals. The manager is funny too and you can tell it's a fun environment. read more

Hobby Lobby stores are all over the United States and offer the best in project, party and home supplies. This Hobby Lobby store is in the same complex of Price Rite, but Price Rite is no longer there. There are plenty of parking spots. The store was huge and when you walk in, there are aisles of seasonal items, holiday items from gift tags, wrapping paper, gift boxes, stockings, wreaths, and other decor items. Throughout the other aisles are fabric, wall decor, books, party items, frames, paper crafts, and so much more. Most aisles had some type of sale going on. There was also a clearance section. All aisles were labelled and fully stocked. I purchased cake boards that were 50% off and a 50% off clearance section item: nanoblock - Pochacco Building Kit. There were two registers open and the cashier was friendly. Service was quick. I will definitely come back to Hobby Lobby when I need supplies for a DIY project or a party. read more

Who doesn't love hobby lobby? The store is always clean and packed with stuff. The employees are very nice and helpful, I haven't had one bad experience in here and I've come plenty of times by myself, with my mom or with my fiancé always fun to shop here for all occasions. I'm currently doing all the wedding shopping and they have so many things and great ideas for amazing prices- and I love it. Their return policy is really simple as well even if it's clearance you can return it just have the original receipt. I also had a great interaction with Nathaniel he was such a sweetie. He had a huge line and he handled it like a champ, kind and courteous to every single customer including myself. He answered my questions didn't hurry me along and was so kind. Very sweet young man. All around I love this store. Always so much to choose from no matter what you're buying you'll find a deal. read more

This Hobby Lobby location always has nice things and lots of choices for decorations for the holidays, home and a great craft section. They do have sale items including a pattern I saw at Joann's for full price. Hobby Lobby had it for $4.99 the brand is McCalls. The check out could of had two more cashiers for a weekend read more

What a pleasure to shop at this craft and more store! Their selection of certain items far exceeds the competition, especially their silk flowers. The quality is superb and the prices comparable and often lower than their competitors. The store has a peaceful atmosphere with wholesome upbeat music, which also makes employees feel joyful and at home and therefore welcoming to their customers. The selections of home decor is vast as well. So much to see, so little time. Wish I could get through the whole store one day. I can't wait to see this year's Christmas selections as last year's was vast and very different than other stores. My only negative about Hobby Lobby is it's not close enough. If it were, I'd be there every few days to shop. read more

Hobby lobby is a terrible store....there are no clear directions where to find anything....the employees point you in the wrong direction cause they don't have a clue...the cashiers are very very slow....and to top it off they want me to buy a bag to take my purchase of 3 stickers out of the store.... No customer service... read more

Ok.... so I'm very torn on Hobby Lobby for multiple reasons. First off I'll say I don't agree with their politics and beliefs, but I'll separate that from the store for the purposes of this review. I've only been to Hobby Lobby 3 times and each time I'm disappointed that it has more in common with Christmas Tree Shop than with an actual Hobby Shop. I know there are many different hobbies but in my opinion this store has way to much space dedicated to completed arts & crafts vs the supplies to make arts and crafts. I don't really expect to see full scale frames paintings in a hobby shop or art supply store. Same goes for all their discount (but still expensive) furniture odds and ends. It's just lots of stuff I'm not interested in. With all that being said I will say that there are things that you can find on the shelf at Hobby Lobby that you can only order online from Michael's. So for that reason alone I will go to hobby lobby in a pinch. I'd like this review to actually be 2.5 stars, but we can't do that here so 3 stars it is! Thanks for reading!!! read more

Just not a great experience lot product they couldn't seem to find it had helped and find it and them why I brought it home and went to use it. It was covered in this slight sticky substance. It was a roll of wrapping raffle tickets for veterans fundraiser and I ended up having to take it all back at first they were kind of hesitant because that's just take things back they're open but unfortunately you couldn't tell if this stuff was stuck on the inside of the rules of tickets, unless you actually opened it. read more

Lots of great deals to spiff up your holidays! Very clean atmosphere & updated displays make shopping here a nice outing!!

Today I was very disappointed with Hobby lobby. It is October fifth and not one single item in the store was Halloween themed. Throughout the entire store, there were three fall isles, with not one single Halloween decoration. And no, I would not call a pumpkin a Halloween decoration seeing as it was in the same aisle as Thanksgiving decorations. The rest of the store, and I mean the rest of the store, was completely Christmas themed. Last time I checked, Christmas came after Halloween. And after Thanksgiving!! If I had known Christmas decorations would already out be in October, I would've shopped for Halloween in friggin August. read more

It's surprising reading the negative reviews here because I've had the opposite with me regarding service and experience. I first started coming to Hobby Lobby a few months ago when I wanted to get some Christmas decor for our home. It was across from Trader Joe's and figured it was convenient to try. The store is very well stocked, with lots of crafts! The employees here have always been nice and helpful. This attitude makes the atmosphere here very uplifting and fun to shop here. Normally when I come I have an idea of what I want, and even if I don't find exactly what it is I had in mind, you're bound to find something else that you will want for you home. The store is clean, the prices are fantastic, and parking is abundant. read more

Tho place is crazy awesome if you need craft things at a discounted price and make sure you come in October for Christmas stuff because that's when it's on crazy sale!!! Staff is very friendly and Catherine helped me with a return and was very sweet. There is a young kid that has an earring and he is super nice and helpful but I can't remember his name. Thanks hobby Lobby But they are closed Sunday so that sucks read more

Management has no sense of customer service. As we were leaving, the shift leader or manager manning the exit door shouted out to the cashier who had attended us "Jas, did you get that doll" referring to the little mermaid plush my child had in her arms. She was literally standing right in front of the register when my husband was paying for the bright red haired mermaid. Very unprofessional. Also, she offered no greeting as we entered...and this is the example management is providing to their crew. Come on folks, lead by example you are representing a "Christian" business. Do better. Be better. read more

Hobby Lobby is a great place to find unique home decor but mainly craft supplies that other craft stores might not carry. I love that they always seem to have a completely different line from the mainstream that you find at Micheals or Jo Anne. For example I am an avid scrapbooker/paper lover and they have some amazing papers that I've only seen at Hobby Lobby. Last week I discovered this is also the case for their yarn!!! There's a whole line of beautiful yarn I've never seen at any other store. Got some wonderful unique colors for my soon to be daughters car seat blanket. Check them out! read more

Rolled into this store on a whim today after seeing a waving guy on Route 2 wearing the "Hobby Lobby OPEN" sign placard. First time ever that advertising gimmick has gotten me to enter a business. EVER. In honor of this special first, I've written my first ever poetic review. Others folks driving by to shop for the meals they're going to eat. (Hear the price on the goods at Price Rite are tough to beat) Went into Hobby Lobby to see what the fuss was all about - Lots of different folks going in and out. Found a giant bright store full of yarn, beads, model planes and holiday decor - Turned around a corner and saw even more... Fabric, yarn ribbons, frames and a cool chandelier lamp. To see it all I would have had to set up camp. Everywhere I looked there was an employee who was willing to chat. "I need to find jewelry resin"...they said, "I can help you with that!" Prices were okay...not a hit out of the park. But if it's a hobby you have this place will not leave you in the dark. read more

The store has a great selection of decorative items. I have a problem with the sale that they have on furniture. The signs say that the furniture is always 30% off. To me that is not a sale but a regular price. They do have they are seasonal items on sale all the time but they are overpriced to begin with. They have a nice selection of seasonal items And we always go see what they have to decorate our business. I do find it weird that they have Christmas decorations as well as Thanksgiving and Halloween in May. I think they could wait a little bit longer but I guess that's what the competition may be doing. I don't know. They do have an incredible selection and the items are very well organized. They are closed on Sundays because I have heard that they are associated with a religion. You are subjected to religious music the whole time that you shop. read more

Hobby Lobby reminds me of the kind of store that would be conceived in a threeway between Woolworths, Joanns, and a Typical Hobby Store. It actually reminded me of the Ben Franklins my mother used to take me to when I was little. The store is a mishmash of everything: tchotchkes for your house, a bit of a sewing shop off to one side, artificial flowers, yarn/needlework, paint your own kitsch, 75 million kinds of mason jars to the other, jewellry making and actual hobby things to the back. It's a little overwhelming, in fact. I lost a good hour of my time, X-Files style, in here. So what does this store have that, say, Michaels doesn't? Model rocket supplies, my friends. My husband pretty much pooped his pants (figuratively, so he says) and turned into a 12 year old when he saw this aisle. I know zilch about blowing things up, but he assured me that this was not only awesome, but had some hard to find stuff too. Their jewellry supplies section is likewise quite good. I finally had luck finding breakaway clasps (and pretty beads) for my daughter's. These things are like finding hens' teeth. To be fair, no one I've asked had any idea what they even were, including the helpful, if confused sales associate who thought I meant magnetic clasps. They also had a bigger selection of pendants than other stores, but not as many loose beads, so your mileage may vary here, depending on what you needs. The fabric selection is relatively small and notions are limited. The prices were a little higher than I'd really want to pay and some of their fabric felt thin and chintzy--I'm looking at you, ginghams. The upholstery fabric is a little more varied and was moderately expensive, but it's expensive everywhere. I wouldn't go here specifically for fabric or notions, but they did have a decent clearance selection I'd look at again, if I was already there. A word about mason jars: they're the darling of the DIY world right now and Hobby Lobby has this spot on. There's an aisle and a half of nothing but glassware in every shape, size, and configuration you could imagine. Want a gallon-sized mason jar? They have it. They also have glass decorator blocks. I don't know what most people do with these, maybe build terrariums, but hey, they're different. Mine is going to have a diorama in it. So now you're thinking, well, why isn't this a 5 star review if you like so much stuff there? I have a couple reasons, both practical and petty. The practical reasons: things not on sale are between 50¢ and 2$ more, on average, than the same thing at Michaels or Joanns. They don't seem to have as many coupons as their competitors, as another reviewer noted. They're closed on Sundays, which is usually when my heathen self grocery shops at Trader Joe's. Likewise, I am not a huge fan of their rather blatant religious references and I don't particularly like their political views. My (non-Christian) husband noted that he felt a little uncomfortable with the amount of signage he saw. It's not quite enough to knock it totally off my list, but combined with the other factors, I'd mostly be inclined to go here for specific items only. read more

Okay the name does nothing for me. "Hobby Lobby" just a little corny to me. We ended up here on "Opening Day", no wonder there was an enormous line of traffic going into the parking lot. The Hobby Lobby reminded me of a Christmas Tree Shop/Michaels/AC Moore combination. I could have been lost in the aisles for hours and gone extremely broke. They have everything you could imagine, adorable holiday decorations, great home decor, beautiful lamps, mirrors and craft items galore. If you have someone in your life who has a passion for something specific the Hobby Lobby is the place to go. They have specific items for the golfer in your life, that cowboy, policeman, ballerina... they have it all. Definitely worth a stop in. Some of the prices are on the high side, as others have mentioned, but they seem like they will have decent sales (or at least my fingers are crossed). read more

This store has many interesting items for the home as well as craft items. When I say craft items, that is what I mean. Everything from scrapbooking to wood crafting, fabric, yarn, floral etc. The selection is not as broad as Joann's. The home items are one of a kind type things that you might find in homegoods. The novelty type things like "Home sweet Home" and "Kiss the cook" type signs. I found some great items that I have not seen in other stores like perfume spray bottles. I would definately visit again if looking for a gift for a hard to buy for person or something unique to give when you want to make a gift more personal. OH, and frames are 50% off everyday and you can download a 40% coupon from the web . Also, they have strange hours. They close at 8pm and they are not open on Sunday. read more

Hobby Lobby, I might have developed a problem. Their prices are much better than other craft stores, plus they had so much more. Home decorations, lamps, premade wreaths and outdoor decorations It was great browsing the aisles and I did find a lot of nice things. No shortage of flowers and fabric here. I found the most beautiful picture frames here, and they were on clearance to boot! My only gripe was when it was time to cash out. It took forever and the cashier didn't seem too happy to be there to be honest. I can deal with that for the great merchandise and awesome prices. read more

This store, in itself is great. Hobby lobby itself, not so much. I'm not complaining about the store, but it's practices. They don't have scanners, which would automatically ring in sale prices, and this alone can make the customer experience better, no more returning to the store because the poor cashier doesn't know everything that is on sale. No more coupons? Can we get any more like Scrooge? Oh, they can. An employee has to clean the bathrooms 3 times during his or her shift, they can't even spend money on that task! Cashiers aren't allowed to have a water bottle nearby, they also aren't allowed a calculator. I can only wonder what it's like to work there. Why all these awkward rules? read more

Not sure if I can give any stars after this experience tonight at Hobby Lobby Warwick. I was quite excited about a piece of furniture that I was looking to purchase, but it was damaged so I figured I would ask for a discount. Sales associate was kind enough to go get a manager... BIG MISTAKE! Tony came over and chose to talk about how I wasn't shopping at a used car dealership so therefore he could not give me a discount. I don't know why he would assume that I shopped at used car dealerships or why he implied that Hobby Lobby doesn't offer further discounts on banged up furniture. The comment was rude, unnecessary, and uncalled for. In the past when I've purchased furniture from Hobby Lobby's other location in Seekonk and the piece was damaged while transporting it, they marked the piece down. I was very surprised by this remark and I hope Hobby Lobby can afford to offer their staff better customer service training but I won't hold my breath since they couldn't even spare a few dollars on a damaged piece of furniture! read more

Rude. Unhelpful. Belligerent when asked to take me to aisle instead of pointing to a general area of the enormous store. I'll stick to Joann Fabrics and Michaels instead. read more

I was looking forward to shopping at Hobby Lobby. I was so disappointed. There was very little crafting or art supplies. Most of it was cheap household decorative objects and I can honestly say I have never seen such tacky items in my life. Picture a tacky combination of a Christmas Tree shop, Michaels and Dollar Tree. Some of the furniture they had on display was so cheaply and poorly made it was falling apart on the store floor, yet it was very high priced. At least 4 times what similar pieces go for at target. I was sorry that I had wasted even one second of my life in this store. It still makes me cringe remembering the awful, overpriced merchandise. read more

I'm really quite surprised to see all of the 3 star reviews from my fellow Yelpers; I was expecting a bit more excitement when it came to Hobby Lobby, but not all of us can share the same opinion. Haven't not knowing much of H.L. prior to my first visit here this past Saturday, I wasn't really sure what I was in for. I knew it was a craft store but a craft Mecca? Holy moly. I was in for a treat. There are rows and rows and rows and row of... stuff! It's a crafters dream come true! There is everything from home decor to scrapbooking to candles and flowers and fabrics and yarn, wedding supplies, cake decorating and candy making, greeting cards, frames, furniture and art supplies. The prices are okay; I think they're actually kind of in line with Michael's and Joann Fabrics and it appeared that there were quite a bit of items on sale at 40% off. I even hopped on my phone and found a 40% off one regular priced item coupon from the Hobby Lobby website that I was able to use at the register upon checkout. I will admit that some of the home furnishings, specifically the shelves, bakers racks and trunks were a tad pricey, even at 30% + off, but it all seemed like it was decent quality. For all of the items that I purchased however; the prices were great and I actually got more bang for my buck with the colored glass mosaic tiles I purchased from Hobby Lobby than I would have if I purchased from Michaels. I'm not going to lie - this place is overwhelming to say the least. It seems that almost every square inch of this store is covered floor to ceiling with an item. I noticed quite a bit of a religious undertone in some of the home decor, which I'm not a fan of, but after I realized that their home base is in Oklahoma, it all made a little more sense. As opposed to your typical craft store, there are plenty of things that I saw at HL that I have never seen before at another craft store, such as mason jars in all sizes, beautiful perfume bottles and soap making supplies. You can bet your little crafty bum that I will most definitely be back to HL for sure, without a doubt. Grab a carriage! read more

Again, as previously stated by another fellow Yelp user, it is a combination of Christmas Tree Shop/Michaels/AC Moore/Joanne fabrics. While that sounds amazing to imagine it was very overwhelming as I just didn't know where to start! The prices were comparable to craft store items. I thought some of the home good type items such as lamps and cutesy signs for your home were somewhat overpriced. This would be a great place to shop if you are looking for a theme type item or gift for someone who has a specific interest as there are aisles designated to certain themes (kids, ballerinas, country, baseball, golf, etc) read more

Ok Ok Ok... so the update to this review is purely for an employee who works in the framing area. This guy was a superstar in customer service. We came in with a print and were trying to find a frame and wanted a little help with finding a good backing but were planning to frame the print at home ourselves. He was very helpful and explained the different types of mat board and showed us examples. We decided to let him frame the print after we realized that it was going to be a lot more involved than we wanted (if we wanted it to look nice, which we definitely did). However, one thing after another went wrong - from broken glass to machines breaking. He was so nice and apologetic the whole time... but really we were amazed that he kept trying to get it done and done right. We felt like most employees would have just said 'sorry, xyz isn't working, so you'll have to come back some other time'. Not this guy though. He was determined to get us taken care of. He also multi-tasked really well without showing signs of being too stressed out as the process took about an hour or more so a lot of other customers needed help while he was working on our project. Not 5 stars though... because we still had to go through the checkout and that's always an ordeal of unhappy folks. read more

Craft stores are really not my thing. Sometimes when I'm feeling pretty crafty (not often) I will venture into Michael's, Moore's or JoAnn's. I hate (I know, strong word) craft stores in general because there is NEVER anyone who is willing to help you, if you can even see a human being that works there on the floor. Secondly, they smell like cheap potpourri and I absolutely hate the smell of cheap potpourri. Finally, when I do go to a craft store, I frequently end up spending a whole ton of money - like often around $100 - and I bring the bag home, and it sits and sits and sits until I finally put it into a closet because I have not found the time nor the inspiration to do a craft. Well, I am here to tell you that Hobby Lobby is way more than your average craft store. Yes, it can be difficult to find someone to help you (however, it is possible to do so if you persevere just a bit). This store is HUGE and I don't like it that I can't see any signage explaining what is located where. Other than the fabric department, which is clearly locatable by a very large sign, the rest of the store is find it yourself. I am still giving this store five stars - despite my travails listed above. Here is why: This store has freaking everything! Yes, I am exaggerating slightly. But they sell drawer knobs - dozens of them - twenties of them - maybe a hundred different styles of drawer knobs. I just painted a piece of furniture and wanted to change out the knobs and I found exactly the right knobs there for cheap. In fact, they have sales all the time - I think I got them at 50% off. I noticed that some people had coupons to bring the prices down even more. I suppose you need to subscribe to their email (which I will not do) to get the coupons. You can just locate the coupon on your cell phone and they will accept it from you. They sell fabric and trims and buttons and everything else you need for sewing. I am not a sewer so I can't attest to the quality or style of the fabric offered - but good to know it's there - on the bolt - so you don't have to wait for an order to come in. This store is so huge, they sell tchotskes of all types. They have a phenomenal assortment of picture frames - the type you could give as a gift and no one would know it was only $7 (on sale). Some of these frames are nearly as beautiful as those designed by Jay Strongwater. They sell "stuff" that you can decorate your house with (just don't use TOO much of it, unless you are going for a tacky overkill look). Signs with cute sayings, blackboards on which to write your own sayings, signs related to baseball, signs related to little frilly girlie ballet things; letters - big ones and small, pillow, platters and pottery!! I have been here at least six times (looking for knobs, blackboards, liquid chalk, and other tschotskes and I still have not been in every single aisle of the store. Did I say the store was huge? (It is). It would appear that they have just about every single item anyone could possibly want for craft projects. I do like to stencil, and I have NOT checked out their stencils, so I can't attest to anything in that regard. All I am saying is that if you need something for your home, there is an excellent chance you can find it there. The owners of this chain are quite religious. They are closed Sundays so that their employees can "worship and spend time with their families." There is also more than the usual amount of prayer-related decor - which you won't find in Michael's or Moore's or JoAnn's. If you are a prayerful person, you will even love Hobby Lobby more than I do. (If you are non-Christian, however, you might tend to feel a little bit intimated, since this is not a religious supply store). When they first opened I swore I would never enter such a huge crafts store (since I don't like craft stores to begin with - see above) :-) but having embarked on a decorating project for my living room (a gallery wall) I have actually been in there about six times over the past two weeks. So much for my swearing. Just wanted to let y'all know that if you need SOMETHING - go to Hobby Lobby and you will most likely find it (they even sell candies and snacks if you're hungry, -- pret-tee pret-tee over priced, I might add!) read more

When it comes to what is for sale on Hobby Lobby I always have fun! It's fun to walk around the colorful and artfully organized displays. They've got a great selection for any crafting needs. It's always clean whenever I go there, no exceptions. While I always have a great time at Hobby Lobby, it's always soured when checkout time comes around. The employees always seem unhappy hesitant to help. I don't expect to be treated like royalty, but it's not to much to ask for a smile, or a decent attitude. But every time I've been there it seems like everyone's so upset; it makes me feel like I'm intruding to be shopping in their store. read more

I have purchased many unique items at this store. I firmly believe that the with 40 or 50 % coupon off one item you are not doing half bad. If you had to purchase many items at once that is a different story. I like the customer service and am actually buying something today. This store caters to a wide array of customers. I know women that are homemakers that love it and also a guy in the military that things it's a cool place too. read more

I love Hobby Lobby, it has things that Michaels or A.C Moore does not have so it adds to my craft shopping. You should never go to any craft store without the 40% off any 1 non-sale item. Hobby Lobby does NOT accept competitors coupons, whereas you can use any printed coupon (not cell phone coupons!) at A.C Moore, Michael's and JoAnn's as they all except competitors coupons. Some said high prices......I really didn't think they were bad at all. But perhaps will get higher according to this article from Wikipedia. "In September 2012, Hobby Lobby sued the United States over new regulations requiring health insurance provided by employers to cover emergency contraceptives, stating that, "The Green family's religious beliefs forbid them from participating in, providing access to, paying for, training others to engage in, or otherwise supporting abortion-causing drugs and devices."[6][7] However, their appeal was rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court, and as of 31 December 2012, the company faces fines of up to $1.3 million per day for violating provisions of the Affordable Health Care Act" read more
