5 Stars for a fabulous little gift shop with everything you could possibly need for gifts for the whole fam! We were looking for a very specific gift to send someone back home- a red lobster stuffed animal. As we walked past this shop we saw exactly what we were looking for right on the window display! I had my little dog with me and they welcomed us in- the gal at the register even gave my pup a treat! I could've spent hours shopping for the whole family, from jewelry, to games and puzzles, to art prints and home decor- There was so much to choose from! I'll definitely be back for more and am so thankful for the friendly staff! read more

Super cute little shop that helps put Hope Street in that category where one can spend a few hours exploring and enjoying! Rhode Craft is a shop similar to Frog & Toad with local artisans represented but not as comical. Straightforward items from jewelry to home goods to stickers. I was visiting Rhode Island, mainly Brown University, and could not find any souvenir shops nearby! Rhody Craft was not my first location to look for a souvenir, heck, it did not even pop up on Google or Yelp for recommended souvenir shops, which was completely disappointing because this place offers a lot of cool items. We were headed towards Frog & Toad and I suddenly saw this place on the way. We visited Frog & Toad first but it did not have the things I wanted (mainly souvenirs for tourists that references "Rhode Island" on their products). Rhody Craft had many of those! From pins, mugs, shirts, magnets, and etc., Rhody Craft is that rare souvenir shop for tourists. It is a small, lovely shop that offers a variety of touristy collectibles as well as unique, handcrafted items. read more

I want to love this shop. The owner seems pleasant and knowledgeable about her products. The items in the store are from the New England area and are reasonably priced, they also don't seem like silly knickknacks. The atmoshere and shop is clean and homey. I also greatly appreciate the bike rack in front! Upon visiting recently, there was a window sign (see picture). As someone whose family bikes and walks, this made us feel unwelcome. Are a few parking spaces worth more than our lives and the community? We drive to Hope despite living nearby because it's dangerous... it's not "fine and dandy." Until we feel welcome, this shop will remain a plan C if we can't find what we want at other shops like Frog & Toad or nearby shops that welcome us. We'd definitely visit more if it was more accessible. read more

Another crafty gem of Providence (and this one's shiny new new). Was up on Hope for a hair appointment and happened by Rhody Craft's $5 table - matching glittering rad earrings and hairpins - whaaaatt! Peering in the window I could see wee crafty baby booties, letterpressed greeting cards, and dangling jewelry. .....I had no choice but to enter the premises. Inside of RC I found trinkets and bobbles, the kinds of things that come together to create songs like "A Few of my Favorite Things". Candles and soaps and nappies and booties, pressed ink and satin flowers and bracelets and stained glass, neat little gift boxes tied up in string. Fab.Bu.Lous. If you're a fan of Craftland or Queen of Hearts, then this is a PRIME spot for you (and this time with loads of street parking and a lot less traffic). Can Hope St sustain another small gift shop, you ask... you bet it can! Especially one as unique as Rhody Craft. Rhody Craft could be the physical storefront for all the coolest RI based Etsy artists. (And I am not referring to the "homemade" Etsy stuff.. this is the real deal.) It has tons of really unusual handmade jewelry, accessories, art, and my fav.. science geek/ nerdy couture. Each time I walk down Hope st, I get drawn in just to find another "must have" item. Cute, cute, cute! I love that this shop has opened op on the East Side right on Hope Street. It's such a welcomed, fun addition to this neighborhood! Everything in the shop is created, made and crafted by a local RI artisan, and ranges from stationery to jewelry to tees to artwork. If you're a stationery fiend like me, you'l go nuts in this store and tear your hairs out trying to decide between options -- they're that good! The store itself is sunny, bright and colorful -- truly a joy to shop in. After Small Circle on Wickendon closed, I went into a period of mourning. However, I'm super excited that Rhody Craft has moved to Hope Street! This store will definitely be my new go-to for gifts. The store is small but has a decent variety of items. I hope that stock and artisans rotate over time. The store features apparel, housewares, and jewelry. Prices are more expensive than they were at Small Circle, but I would much rather pay more and support local artisans and storeowners than go to a big box store. read more

Well what can I say all I heard about in this place was how our president is a joke and she was sick to her stomach when he won last year. I think talking to customers out loud in front of others about politics like you were was wrong. My wife and I went to other shops on the road and they were very nice and had customers in there shops so we spent our money at those establishments. You really need to change your the way you speak out loud in front of customers or you will fail after time. read more

Though I have never stepped foot in this shop--yet--I can say Rhody Craft has the best products and service based on a recent online order. Kim, whom I believe is the owner of Rhody Craft, was simply wonderful!! I saw a beautiful mug with a picture of the state [of Rhode Island] containing a heart in the middle as featured in a Rhode Island-based Instagram account, and I knew I had to have it. I tapped the link for the shop it was available and discovered all that Rhody Craft has to offer. This shop has so many wonderful items, from jewelry to t-shirts, mugs to fun prints. While there is a good variety of items for sale online, there is likely more [products/selection/variety] in the store. A few clicks here then there, and I ordered that featured mug. I received it within days of ordering (and I ordered on a holiday weekend, too). It was gorgeously wrapped, with colorful ribbons springing everywhere and a shop sticker on top of the box, a flyer for the shop (showing the great selection of items) tucked in with the box. However, I heard clinking when I picked up the box and found the mug had broken into three pieces in shipping. I e-mailed Kim right away and, promptly, she responded by stating another mug would be in the mail that day. She was extremely kind and so helpful, and, after receiving a mug in one piece, she was very, very efficient!! I very much appreciate her excellent customer service. Also appreciated and loved, the mug itself is so well-made and sturdy (I have no idea how the order cracked), with a unique and sleek design and lovely picture design on it. Rhody Craft proves to represent Rhode Island well with its products and outstanding customer service. Without a doubt, the next time I visit Providence, my first stop will be Rhody Craft. This little store is a treasure in Hope Village/Summit. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the goods inside all have great stories. I got a wonderful selection of RI themed Christmas ornaments there around the holidays, and the card selection is also great. Rhody Craft is an awesome store on Hope St. featuring clothing, hand crafted jewelry and pottery, geeky gifts, and artwork. The store features all of these things and more from various local artists. I love my locally made dog bowl that I purchased when I adopted my dog earlier this year and my friend was very happy with the hand made bib and newborn hat I bought for her baby shower. I love their Dr. Who and Sherlock necklaces and wall art, for the geek in me. The staff who work here are very friendly and they offer free gift wrapping. This is a cute local shop with a good variety of items to choose from. The merchandise isn't 100% my cup of tea but I always enjoy browsing and I really like their new space. I can usually find something to leave with even though I know deep down I don't need it. I like that they always have some candle options.
