What a fun and quirky store, I can't believe it took me this long to visit! Honestly, Imagine should be on any kind of Rhode Island adventure itinerary whether or not you're looking to get the perfect gift for friends or family. It's like Etsy come to life in a vintage 1930s theatre building, and in the summer, there's ice cream! And cows! Could this get any better? I love the selection of vintage items and artisan curated selections (the rock jewelry candles are super cool and I love my capybara enamel pin!), and everything is in a reasonable price range, especially the handcrafted items. Even though this was my first visit, Imagine is definitely one of my top recommendations for those looking for a cool and quirky off the beaten path place to stop when you're in Warren! read more

Very fun place to walk around in with unique and local gifts. There's also a candy bar and ice cream shop inside the store and there's also some handmade jewelry, snacks, apparel, and even games. When you first walk in you will be greeted by the butler and blue cow and you will be sent your farewell when you leave. If you like odds and ends type places this is fun to be at. Came here looking for some souvenirs for our trip to RI. I collect ornaments while on vacation and this place had a lackluster collection that didn't really speak to the type of relaxing beach vacation that I was having so I passed on the selection here and found something elsewhere. There is a decent selection of handmade jewelry, housewares, and sports stuff on the first floor. Only found a few postcards. The rest of the store (the second and third floors) was largely full of stuff I could have purchased on Amazon. When I think of gift shops, I think of a store full of things that represent the geographic location where I am currently at. A place to buy local souvenirs. This store was more of a gift shop in the sense that Hallmark is a gift shop - a place to buy generic gifts that pass as something custom/thoughtful for someone that you don't know well. Not my bag, but it depends on what you're looking for, I guess! read more

The candy aisle was fun to walk through with my kids. It was great remembering seeing these items and the joy I would get from getting them and explaining them to my kids. Oh what a fun place. When it comes to Christmas, Birthdays or other special events I'll definitely have to go back there. The store has little things that will be great for presents and stockings stuffers. Inside The areas are blocked off with different themes. I did talk to one of the ladies who work there. The store has a lot of different things for all ages and interests which is nice BUT it's not stroller or wheel chair friendly... apparently the building is "too old to add a wheelchair ramp". I walked in with my stroller (as I wasn't going to have my 1 year old running around touching everything) and struggled to get down the stairs. No one offered to help including the 2 girls at the register. Whatever....people don't often offer to help anyway. Then upon leaving, I struggled up the stairs and still no help. I feel there should be a sign on the door or at the very least offer to help someone who wants to be a patron but also can't carry their 30 toddler on their hip through 3 floors of merchandise. Basically, don't go if you're elderly or have a child(ren). read more

Weird place from the inside out. It has that creepy novelty store feeling from the movies. I was just waiting for something weird to pop out, or a strange worker to emerge out of nowhere. There's a blue cow near the front of the store that starts to talk each time someone walks by it. I'm not sure how the employees can handle that all day haha. The thing that saves this place is the freshly made ice cream. Wow! I tried the Birthday Cake and Cookie Dough flavors. The Cookie Dough was excellent, as was the Birthday Cake. Large scoops too; $4.80 and well worth it. Will come back again for this only lol. read more

Stopped by on Saturday. I was so happy because as I pulled into park, I saw a young woman open the door and walk out with the "Open" flag. I watched her place the open flag on the side of the building and of course the door was still open, so I got out of my car and crossed the street. Once I reached the OPEN door, the young woman who just finish placing the OPEN flag on the building instructed me that I could NOT go in because they weren't open until 10. Weird. I looked down at my watch it was 9:55 am and the door was still wide open. I gave the young woman a chance to redeem herself by asking if there were any other stores I could go to buy souvenirs...clearly I was there to purchase merchandise: hint, hint. She answered annoyingly that she didn't know and proceeded to close the door. I couldn't believe what was taking place. Finally, I told her, you know, you just placed your open sign out. She said she knew. At that point, I walked to my car and promised to never return, spending over $150 on souvenirs at a shop elsewhere. Shame. She let 5 minutes stand between her and a decent sale. read more

I visited this cute little store right before Christmas.. I'd been by there a million times but never bothered to stop, but my friend and I were looking for some last minute Christmas gifts and decided to give the store a try. Parking is terrible, they only have 4 or 5 spots in their lot, but you're able to park in the church lot across the street which is a help and theres street parking as well. The store itself is huge, I didn't go upstairs, but the downstairs is loaded with a huge variety of local and unique items. The salespeople are friendly, but leave you alone to browse which is what I prefer. I did find myself interested in the history of the building when I saw the old soda fountain set up right inside the door, A few too many stairs for someone with a knee problem, but I managed just fine and was able to browse the whole downstairs area. Its great for last minute gift, something unique or something Rhode Island to send to an out of state friend. I found the store to be very orderly, cute jewelry section although there were no Luca and Danni bracelets and their store was listed as an authorized retailer on the website, but that's not Imagine's fault. They had some great stuff and I was happy with what I found. I wouldn't make this store a regular stop in my weekly shopping trips, but would definitely go there for gifts or if I found myself in the area with time to spare. read more

I went there with a lady friend. The place seemed great and we had planned on buying some stuff. This place was three floors of interesting stuff. Unfortunately, we did not see the upper levels. In the back is a small set of wooden steps leading upward. There were two men hanging around the steps talking. An older man sitting on the steps did not seem to want to let us through. Further the woman I was with had a short skirt on and I wasn't about to give these men a free show. These men seemed like they worked there. There was a very nice lady at the front desk and the place had great products. But we left upset and disappointed. Shame. Hopefully, this business can relieve itself of the lecherous rude men who are apparently just hanging around. read more

Imagine now proudly boasts signs all over the sidewalk and it's crazy cow-adorned facade: "Voted one of the BEST 25 gift stores in America!" Every time I drive past I snicker, trying to form a picture of exactly WHO is the demographic that launched this huge cavern of clutter into the position. "Gift Store" is a tricky term. It could mean a shop of interesting, playful, beautiful things that you wouldn't think to buy for yourself, but make for a sweet surprise when picked out and presented by a special someone. Those places are rare. More common are shops that carry tacky crap that would only be purchased with the intention of giving to someone else because they carry all manner of things YOU WOULD NEVER WANT TO OWN YOURSELF. Imagine takes the cake in this genre, and it's stunningly massive to boot. The one thing I like about Imagine is the ice cream/candy shop, Lyric Twist - they're just dishing out Hershey's so nothing too exciting there, but the candy selection rocks. If Fruit Stripe, Cow Tales and War Heads mean anything to you, stop in if only to taste some nostalgia. read more

Not just tidy, mind you.....but you're greeted by a couple of colorful cows (as it sounds, not just audacious staff) before entering the "penny" candy section just across from the ice cream shoppe. Just down a few stairs you can find lots of Rhode Island merchandise, kitsch of a sorts, and as to be expected of any store in America knick-knack shit for all consumers. The building itself has a very interesting past, and therefore the layout is kooky. Check it out. You're bound to find something for someone. The origin of this store is one that deserves recognition, starting with a colorful cow that was forced to be removed from the premises, only to gain significant notoriety amongst the neighbor, and ultimately becoming a store specializing in unique RI trinkets and locally crafted unique cows. If you like cows, hand crafts, expensive trinkets, then this is the perfect place for you. I even bought one of cow arts for myself (but that was because it was defective and on sale). Each of the cows are about $30-40, and are definitely unique. The store does also house some unique RI taffys, ice cream, and soaps and random stuff on the second floor as well. Overall, it's a fun decent place to visit if you're around the area, but I wouldn't necessarily make a trip just to see it. read more

This place is enormous with a lot of items packed inside. If you need to find a gift for someone (particularly a female) you should have no problem here. The prices tend towards the high side. I found a vase that I was looking at here for 50% less at HomeGoods. You definitely aren't going to find a bargain here. They have the best selection of funny greeting cards in the area. read more

Very cool place to brows. They have lots of different and eclectic items and a nice assortment of RI specific items. It is one of those places to buy gifts if you are having a really difficult time thinking of something for someone or if they are just hard to buy for. I've only been to this place twice, but both times I had a great time and enjoyed looking at the offbeat and interesting gifts that they had. The place is huge, which makes sense, since the selection is huge, but basically what you would expect of a gift shop. They have everything from cooking equipment to children's toys as well as jewelry, clothing, candles, home decor, and all sorts of quirky items that were sure to make wonderful gifts. There was also a large ice cream parlor/candy shop area which had every candy imaginable, including my favorite (salt water taffy). :) The only complaint I would have is the pricing of some of the items, but this hasn't influenced my review for the sole reason that I expected high prices. If I wanted to pay low prices, I would have gone to a discount store; I don't mind paying a little more money for a place with a great atmosphere and an amazing selection! Even so, not all of the items were very expensive -- I bought two Alex & Ani like bracelets that seemed to be better quality than real Alex & Anis and they were only $18 each (they have held up nicely). I went when the shop wasn't busy, so the service was good and the cashiers were very talkative and helpful, but this might not be accurate because there weren't many other folks in the store. If you're looking for something interesting to do and you don't mind spending a few bucks for some really interesting items, I would say this is a nice trip to make. read more

I came here to find a birthday present for my sister, and left with so many great ideas for future holidays, birthdays, special days! I will definitely be returning! They have a candy bar, staple RI clothing/sweatshirts,etc, a TON of "Life is good" products, beautiful unique earrings made all over the U.S, and corky napkins for all events! I only noticed that there were two more floors when checking out, but didnt go up to save myself from spending my weekly grocery money on special trinkets and gifts. This is a gift shop. It is huge and clean and there's lots of stuff to look at. The prices are a bit high, but there are enough reasonably priced items to find something. (It must cost a fortune just to heat the place.) I would prefer it if they had more serious gifts instead of so much humorous, whimsical stuff. Every other item seems to have a saying or slogan on it. Perhaps that's just my taste, but I prefer the beautiful to the cute, and this place is heavy on the cute.
