They did have a sign on the door asking customers to not take photos while inside- whether it is for security purposes or to ward off the use of google image. I guess you will have to visit yourself! Extremely small parking lot, it looks as though they share the parking lot with a few other businesses, but have a few spots exclusively for their store.

My mom started walking into the store because it is her birthday and wanted to see the jewelry. Immediately upon entering we noticed how beautiful and organized the shop is. Rather small in space with only a few costumers in shop. The merchandise was from all over the world and my family (being well traveled) noticed many heritage pieces. My oldest sister had asked the store owner if she had made the jewelry herself. The woman firmly and with very rude intention responded "what?, what are you talking about NO." Afterwards we attempted to keep light conversation about the countries the items were from. The owner and her daughter are extremely rude and disconnected. They never once looked up at us or bothered to stop texting to answer our questions. On top of it they're very uneducated on their products and extremely over priced for items you can get for bulk on Amazon. I would of purchased some jewelry from this store if the woman would actually care about selling their products. Unfortunately I will never come back here.

The store is heavily curated by the owner Nicole, who is also an artist herself, & it shows. It was an adventure, moving from display to display, always finding something new to look at & admire. It also smelled SPECTACULAR in the store thanks to a selection of gender-neutral scented items - soaps, perfumes, candles, body oils, etc. I was gift shopping for other people, but can't wait to go back to buy a treat for myself. I had my eyes on a "mezcal blanco" perfume roller. Nicole is a Providence local who creates upcycled tie ascots (hard to explain but beautiful to behold.) They are, in themselves, a masterclass in textile design. Shopping around this store was a total mood booster for me today. I can't wait to see what the future brings for Nicole & Asterfields.

Here, we celebrate the beauty of the handmade, the unusual, and the heartfelt—offering a curated mix of thoughtfully crafted apparel, soulful objects, and imaginative treasures for the home. Our space is a living collage—part shop, part sanctuary—where textures, color, and form come together in conversation. Each piece is chosen or created with intention, rooted in a belief that artistry belongs in everyday life. New to Asterfields is Nicole Deponte’s private studio gallery, open by appointment. This lush, light-filled space—tucked next to the shop—serves as the heart of her paintings, surrealist collage and mixed media practice. Nicole’s evolving body of work is displayed in our expansive front windows, bringing an ever-changing tableau of artwork and imagination to the street, and inviting passersby to experience creativity in its most organic form. At Asterfields, our mission is to cultivate a space where art meets intimacy, and where the handmade becomes a way of life. I needed some souvenirs and when I looked it up online, it took me to a bookstore that absolutely did not have any. The next store on the list was The Landing and I did not have high hopes, remembering that it was a boat rental place. Boy was I wrong. Admittedly, this place is where you book boat rentals/trips. That is true. We saw a small family book their trip that they were very excited about. However, there is a lot more going on here. This place also sells souvenirs and is a cafe. The souvenirs are great, a lot of art items that would be lovely for people. There were some decorated oysters I found to be so darn cute and beautifully painted. Unfortunately, the souvenirs I was looking for were magnets and t-shirts, which they don't have the biggest selection of but we did find these items and the people we gave them to enjoyed them a lot. We came by The Landing a second time to get a sweet treat as well. They have a large collection of dirty sodas on the menu and we enjoyed our drinks very much.
