I went back today to exchange it for a better one one that is not tarnished. When I went in, I explained to the lady that I'm not here to get my money back. I will actually probably spent more than what this necklace was bought for. She would not exchange the tarnish necklace. Instead, she proceeded to tell me how silver needs to be cleabed. I'm not about to clean a brand new necklace I said. She went and took it on herself to clean it. I walked outside of The store looked at it still tarnished went back in and she cleaned it a second time. On my way home now looking at it in the sunlight and still it is gold and silver. The store features pottery by the owner, Dwo Wen Chen that is absolutely stunning. The pieces are perfect with autumn, decorated with red and orange leaves. This place is great when you are looking for unique, special gifts. I had a difficult time finding something small for my boss that was in my price budget. Expect to pay $20-$350 for a piece of pottery. For example, I paid $18 for a small tea bag holder about 3-4" in diameter. Definitely worth a walk-through, but keep in mind that prices are pretty steep.

I was blown away when I stopped in at the selection of not only Trollbeads (more on that) but interesting items. There was a huge assortment of antiques, new crafts, cards, books, vintage furnishings - you name it, I think they may have carried it! But, back to the beads - Karen came over and she was just incredible. She clearly knows her Trollbeads and a total newbie like me learned so much from her probably less than an hour, it was amazing. Not to mention the huge selection. And, the really affordable prices on many beads that you just won't find anymore. I found Karen to be so helpful and charming and honest. It was a really nice customer experience and I highly recommend visiting Twice Told Tales for anyone in the area. Plus, the downtown is really nice with an assortment of quirky stores and restaurants (and plenty of parking). It really is a hidden gem!
