I discovered the place through my friend, Greg Buchold. I had been admiring a Mardi Gras mask and wreath that he had put on his door and he told me about the place. I went looking for Mardi Gras stuff but was blown away by the extensive collection of cookbooks and design books that they sell, all discounted from retail list prices. But there was much much more. The selection of individual stuff was a bit lacking but they did have a lot of stuff (for example, not a lot of Jellycat plushies or Ravensburger puzzles or Baggu bags but they managed to have these items). The candle/perfume and apothecary sections were heavily scented and honestly kind of sickening. Things are priced ABSURDLY here. I saw a shot glass for $200. It's a place to walk with friends & guffaw at the prices. Be careful walking around the glassware - one stumble could cost you thousands. I managed to purchase a bowl for $8, discounted because it was missing the chopsticks that accompany it, & the cashier ran after me after checkout to give me the chopsticks ($16) for free because she found them after I checked out. I sincerely wished that I had gotten the name of the wonderful man, who was working at Bering's and who immediately began helping me find what I needed to buy. He literally walked me around, asking others who also worked there, where to find these items. Of course we ended up in the right section with a multitude of selections which I truly appreciated. I found what I needed and I was a very happy customer! This person's excellent professional service was extremely appreciated. Service is great because whenever we ask anyone for help, they're very efficient and quick. Value is generally really great at HomeGoods. There's no warranty whatsoever - even if the furniture breaks in the 1st month. No warranty - not even manufacturer. But u can buy their plan. Free delivery (not free shipping) advertised but that's dumping it at ur door. Price on the tag not the same as online ; not adjusted in their system so would have to wait till Monday for manager -what kind of company doesn't update their system 1st....that would risk delaying a purchase where the customer might change their mind. This fee & that fee added 1k onto the price of the sectional - I'm serious. Really too bad bc we loved that piece it was perfect! They're nebulous about delivery date too and then I read other reviews where weeks turned into months etc. Delivery fees, handling fees, warranty... We bought elsewhere.
