    I still love this location. My other half and I are looking for Christmas items to fill in the decorations we have. Not disappointed. Loads to see, something for everyone. Oh, you bet we found items to take home. My favorite time to come is in August/September when the Christmas ornaments go on sale. Best time because you're not paying full price and selection is optimal.

    Filled with the cheapest of Chinese junk. Save your money and go to a real art store to purchase real art supplies. You won't be sorry.

    Over the years, I have made numerous visits to the Savon Cash & Carry on Candelaria to pick up…read moreboxes to pack my seasonal silk flowers. The warehouse Mngr "Manny" has been SOO Kind and Accommodating, (as my son used to work with Manny, so I have a respectful rapor with him.) When I'd make my visits, I'd go into the showroom to see all the lovely silk arrangements. (As I used to be a floral designer) Recently, I have made THREE TRIPS, to the Savon Cash & Carry over the past three weeks. (from the Northwest side of town, being brought by the Albuquerque Sunvan due to being disabled) On my first visit, I bought 4 long silk stems that came to $66.13. The over all experience was fairly pleasant. - When I got home, I realized I hadn't bought enough of the fall leaf stems, so a couple of weeks later, I made A SECOND TRIP to the store and bought 2 more Fall stems, spending ANOTHER $38.73! What I came to notice was that the store staff COULDN'T HAVE CARED LESS about my presence as a customer! The girls wore long drawn out blahze' looks on their faces, as if I was a complete interruption in their day standing behind the front counter. All they wanted was for their hassle to be done, and for me to leave. After I was done with my purchase, I went out and sat in the front, outside the store, waiting for my Sunvan to return home; when a few minutes later, to my surprise, one of the floral designer employees came out from the back area respectfully asking if I was waiting for a Sunvan?.. as it was parked in a different place, waiting for me. I would have been left stranded and on foot if it weren't for the lovely woman. As I leaving, I realized that I should have bought more stems, but there wasn't enough time to go back inside to make another purchase since my Sunvan had arrived. - So, I made ANOTHER TRIP this past Wednesday, (on my day off from school.) I unexpectedly spent WAAY more than I had intended, ($59) yet the splurge was so worth it. On the flipside of this third trip to this store, the employees in the shop were SOOO rude! I had noticed that there was a sign on the front door saying that they were having all kinds of "great deals and steals" and to ask about them when you make your purchase. SO I DID! - I was given this pathetic look and a comeback in response from the employee saying, "Oh we had 75% off YESTERDAY on our silks." Hmmm! The sign on the door said ALL WEEK! So I was told to ask the mngr, being this young gal named "Jordan." Jordan WOULD NOT LOOK AT ME, NOR GIVE ME THE TIME OF DAY! I WAS JUST TOLD "NO" AND THAT WAS THE END OF THE CONVERSATION. It was also mentioned that the company sent out "EMAILS" to their valued customers letting them know about their sales. HMMMM! I've been coming to the Candelaria store for YEARS, and NO ONE HAS EVER ASKED ME FOR MY EMAIL! .. NOT EVEN When I made my last TWO PURCHASES! I mentioned that I was in school the day before, when they had their "So-called ONE DAY SILK FLOWER SALE," So I asked if they could extend the sale due to the distance I had traveled, or if the store has a "Senior Discount day." - I got a uninterested, uncaring "NO." This made me REALLY THINK! Here I am retired after having many careers, to include a former career in Retail Mgmt for 18 and a half years, and I'm seeing the WORST Customer service I have EVER witnessed or EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE!! It even occurred to me that Savon is a FLOWER SHOP! It's a place where you extend KINDNESS! The employee attitude should MATCH the store Ambiance! What I witnessed.. The persona of the employees in the showroom is enough to kill the live flowers, while instilling negative energy into the silk arrangements! The employees have NO PEOPLE OR HOSPITALITY SKILLS let alone respect or compassion, which is what working with flowers is supposed to bring about! These brood of employees have NO ABILITY TO SAY THANK YOU LET ALONE make someone feel welcome upon greeting customers with a cheerful HELLO! When I left, I decided to go find the "actual" manager, and have a conversation with him/her. A man popped his head out from a window upstairs in the office. I asked if he was the owner. (as I sort of recognized him) The man, "Dave," looked at me as if I was some SCUMBAG VAGRANT OFF THE STREETS. (He'd be mortified if he actually knew who I am) I asked him about his discount notice that I was denied, and then I mentioned how RUDE his girls are in the front showroom. DAVE COULDN'T HAVE CARED LESS! He just flatly said he'd say something to them, which I HIGHLY DOUBT HE DID. I find it really astonishing that for as long as Savon has been around, you'd think that the owners would teach their employees how to provide CUSTOMER SERVICE TO INCLUDE MAKING THE CUSTOMER'S EXPERIENCE MEMORABLE SO THE CUSTOMER WILL WANT TO COME BACK! and They should APPRECIATE RETURN CUSTOMERS who pay top dollar! After how I was treated, I doubt I will EVER return to this store!

About my…read morewedding he was so nice and we had a wonderful convo about our mothers since borh of ours had passed away. I took my swatch to match and sent him pics of the bouquets i wanted. He said to go in a month before the wedding. When i went in we verified everything, went over colors, i took him more swatches and paid $160 for my dream bouquet which was going to be one of the few pops of color we were doing. 1 week before i went back to take the mini frames of my mother and grandmother. The morning of the wedding, every brides worst nightmare occured. I sent my cousin in to pick up my bouquet AND THEY NEVER MADE IT! They never even ordered the flowers!!!!!!! They lost all my paperwork, my swatches, and had misplaced the pics!!!! The threw together something that was for lack of a better word- hideous. The succulents looked old and tired and were barely hanging on. A 4 yr old child could have made a better bouquet. The color was pink not the mauve purple i had wanted. There was a description in their system that they obviously did not read. I had to stop at smiths before rhe wedding and have my friends make a whole new bouquet. So today, day after wedding i went in to talk to them and michael k's explanation was HE WAS SICK AND FORGOT. Unbelievable! And lo and behold they found the pics, the day after the wedding. They are returning my $ but i will never return there and i suggest you do the same. This could happen to you!!!! In the pics is the description in their system, the next pic is what i received. Btw, everyone there is SO RUDE! Every single time i have gone there, they act like helping the customer is such a huge inconvenience. In response to the owners comment, that bouquet was FAR from an upgrade and definitely not worth $160. Unbelievable that he would have the gall to say "free of charge" after they didnt so a single thing and lost all the paperwork. This is the kind of company you will be working with if you choose to go through them. He should be embarassed and ashamed. Delivering the bouquet was the least they could do and my mother in law told me it was a delivery man. Btw, check out the "not recommended" reviews for more glimpses into just how awful this place is.
