This is our go to spot for lunch on the weekend. Put your order in online or get there early because the hard rolls are first come first serve and they're an extremely busy place. I've tried several options but my favorite is the Yada Yada with extra pepper shooters. Very friendly staff that greet you when you walk in and say thank you when you leave. read more

Stopped in here today for a quick bite (December 6, 2013). Let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised at this little gem tucked inside a very small strip of stores in Hummelstown. I ordered the Swartzie or locally listed as the Slaw for $6.95 plus tax. Total was $7.37. Not bad for what you get in terms of the quality bread, meats, cheeses, veggies and dressings! Mine included a choice of roasted turkey or tender roast beef (I opted for the turkey), swiss cheese, cole slaw and Russian dressing. Truly authentic and immensely satisfying! I can understand why this place is so highly ranked, being as the only true competition that I've seen here is a Subway, but I work as a sandwich maker myself, and I was far from impressed, and before that, far from satisfied. I'll start with the bread, I'm not quite sure where the bread is supplied from here, but my work gets our supplied from the local bakery in Philadelphia. I'm not saying your bread HAS to be local, but you could at least attempt to have your bread be enjoyable. What I mean by this is that a cashier who waited on me went on and on explaining about how you don't have oil, which is okay because of your fantastic "house-made dressing", but where is it! You barely put it anywhere except the middle of the roll, which made it fall apart, and therefore the seasoning didn't stick and it's unseasoned taste ended up dominating the sandwich meat, which you barely provided. The sandwich makers I observed seemed more inclined to compensate for lack of meat by pushing the meat to the side and shoving lettuce in there, which is an awful way to make a sandwich. I give 2 stars because the story and atmosphere is nice and the cashiers were pleasant, but I don't give 5 because for a place that makes it perfectly clear that all they do is hoagies, you can't even make a good one. A tip for management: After seeing how busy you guys were, you may want to consider not slicing meat per sandwich, as that makes production a lot slower and from what I saw, causes the sandwich maker to focus on slicing more than the sandwich. I saw all your options and prosciutto, ham, capicollo and provolone(sharp and mild) both seem to be used a lot, so why not have piles of those pre-cut? Just a thought. read more

Oh Lord this is a good hoagie! I found this place while looking for a quick bite on Yelp. I ordered online and it was super easy. Once I arrived at the shop my subs wern't quite ready. They noticed my dog barking in the car (he has separation anxiety) so they gave me some turkey to give him while I waited for my subs. THEN an employee actually brought my order out for me so I wouldn't have to leave my dog. Their service is amazing and the hoagies are even better. read more

Niiiiceeee..... J ordered the Yada Yada on a soft roll and I got the Philly Fanatic on a hard roll w/ the hoagie dressing and spicy mustard no mayo. Both were super good! The one I ordered was my favorite though. Between the two types of rolls, we liked the hard roll the best. 2 footlongs, bag of chips and a 20oz coke zero bottle for almost $20. Sandwiches were very well made, meats were sliced at the moment and the selections and toppings are plenty. Loved the Naked option, which is the hoagie in a bowl, no roll. Too bad I saw it after I ordered. Will definitely be back to satisfy our sandwich cravings (which we don't get often but can be pretty brutal when we do). Place is very small and super clean. We ate at the counter-like table available and were pretty lucky to get a spot because there are only 5 or 6 stools and a bench with no table. Best Philly hoagies in the area! Make sure you get there early, because they might run out of rolls. I partially like the soft roll and my husband loves the hard roll. The hard roll tends to cut up the roof of my mouth, and it has sesame seeds on top. The Philly phanatic is by far my favorite. read more

Absolutely loved our visit to Hoageez last year. My father in law, 2 young kids and I stopped in after visiting the Indian Echo Cavern. The decor is bright, fun and inviting. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. My daughter's loose tooth came out while eating and they went above and beyond helping us clean her up. And the sandwiches, oh MY! The sandwiches were amazing. We will definitely be returning when we're back in PA in the future. read more

I'm one of those like several below... I cannot believe I waited so long to try this place. I was behind 8-9 people in line, and only waited "maybe" 5 minutes for my sandwich. The folks behind the counter work quickly and efficiently. Even if they slice the meat to order, it's amazing how quick they make it all work. I didn't see a cheesesteak on the menu, and was a bit disappointed as that is what I was craving, but the "Dressed Up Turkey" more than made up for it. When I saw the sandwich, I thought immediately, "There's no way I can finish that." Well, small stomach be damned... I ended up eating the whole thing. It was just that good. Delicious deli turkey, cheese, mayo, lettuce/tomato/onion, and cranberry sauce to boot. Downright savory. I did not have them put their special dressing on it, as it didn't sound like it would jive with the cranberry sauce. Maybe next time. I'll be back. Except I don't blame others for wanting to keep it a secret, they sell out practically everyday even without us promoting their business. They're just that good! The Hog Island and Diablo Shooter hoagies are my go-to but I have tried most of them and loved them all. The only problem I have with this place is that the hoagies have an addictive quality to them. Hoageez is way better than Jimmy John's! Yes, that's right, you heard correctly. Hoageez first came on my radar by accident, while looking up some local places on Yelp. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and decided to take the plunge today. After heeding the advice of fellow Yelpers, I called in my order around 11:10 am today. When I arrived just before 12:00 pm, the place was hopping with about 10 customers waiting for orders. I ordered a Hog Island for my wife, and I had the South Philly (a nod to my Philly roots). Delicious! Competitive prices and more meat than JJ's, plus better flavor! What more could a hungry guy ask for?
