In my humble opinion this is the best sub shop in the Harrisburg Hershey area hands down. This subs are interesting and delicious. I've been there a number of times and can vouch for the Diablo shooter, Yada Yada, Rocky, and Hog Island. I typically go for the soft roll... the hard roll cuts the roof of my mouth but a lot of people enjoy it. You have to get there early though.. once they run out of rolls the party is over! read more

This place gets 5 Stars but ONLY if you order the Hard Roll. The soft roll is weak - I hope they find a better vendor for that. Now to the good stuff. The ingredients used are simply the best; the best quality, awesome taste, and perfect consistency (thanks to the professionalism of the owners who are often on site). My mouth literally salivates when thinking about these subs. I'm a big meateater and the roast beef is PERFECTION INCARNATE. Some of the best subs in Hummelstown are made here at Hoageez... The food quality is amazing and the folks working the counter are always friendly. The only downside to Hoageez is you need to get here as early in the day as possible. Once they run out of meat and food for the day, they close down. I can respect this business model as they aren't wasting as much and their MO is to serve as fresh of products as possible. That said, sometimes after a long day at work, some Hoageez and a beer In my life would be awesome but usually can't happen. I am from Philadelphia and occasionally I have to come to Hershey for work and I love that I discover this place as they provide that authentic philly hoagie taste. All of the Italian meats is legit and they have the hard seeded hard roll that makes the sandwich. It does take a bit of time to make the sandwich but I can understand cause good things take time. read more

I really hate to do this, but I have to give Hoageez 3 stars. Their food is fantastic, the service is friendly, and their online ordering is a smart way to beat the lunch rush. But their policy of only ordering a small amount of bread every morning, and essentially shutting down once it is gone, is pretty frustrating. For the third or fourth time I've called to order only to learn that they are out of bread, and that's only because of the pain of once going there and leaving empty handed. For the record, I'm not calling 5 minutes before they close. We're talking usually around 4:00-4:30 on a weekday, they've probably been out of bread half the time I've tried to pick up something on the way home. Maybe I'm just very unlucky, but it's frustrating not knowing whether or not you will be able to get a sub today or not. I know it's weird to mark down a location because I love the place so much and can't get it, but I get surprisingly upset when I get in the mood for one of their subs, only to learn that there is no bread left. I still love ya Hoageez... just invest in some more delicious bread! read more

Tried this place out recently and got the bacon turkey sub on a hard roll. One of the best subs I have ever had and a huge portion that it was enough for 2 meals. The soft pretzels they sell are amazing too. Quick, friendly service. So wish it was closer. I'd be there all the time. read more

What a fun place, great subs, you choose your bread (soft or crusty-chewy) or can order a salad, same just minus the bread. Then you choose meat combos, veggies and dressing. Both subs and salads are huge and oh so fresh. There really isn't anyplace to sit and eat, but people take-n-go by the huge bags full ... we ate in our truck and took almost half home! This place is legit. Not the cheapest sub sandwich............ I mean Hoagie around, but every sandwich I've had from there is well worth it's weight in gold. I usually get double meat, but even the regular portion is pretty healthy in content. I typically get the "Yada Yada" because I love the sharp provolone that they use, but the others are equally awesome. My advice to those planning to go there is to plan to go early in the afternoon. Once they run out of bread, the "Open" light get's turned off and they shut down. I prefer what they call the "crusty" bread, which is usually the first type they run out of. I note that Casey K. in a previous post referred to this place as a "chain sandwich shop". I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they only have two locations. If that qualifies as a chain, then I guess it is, but I wouldn't let that sway your decision in checking it out. Enjoy. read more

Best hoagies in Central PA. I had been looking for a decent hoagie place since moving from Philly and couldn't find anywhere that even came close to how good Hoageez is. The bread makes the biggest difference! A lot of place near by use there own homemade non hoagie bread that is often too chewy and just not the right for a hoagie. This place uses great rolls and great ingredients. Whenever I get a chance I stop by. Owners and staff are always nice and friendly. Be warned though when they sell out of rolls they are done for the day so go early or order ahead online, it is definitely worth it. read more

We stopped by while we were doing some laundry next door to avoid the vending machine junk food! It was the best decision we made for lunch in a while!! The shop itself was super cute! My brother and sister loved the blackboard that they were able to scribble some stuff on (even I wrote that Joaquin was here lol)!! The girls behind the counter were super nice and even when I confused the one who was taking our order she made sure the order was perfect! AND THE HOAGEEZ WERE AMAZING!! We got the Bacon Lovers Turkey, the Buffalo chicken hoagie and a naked buffalo chicken(salad)!! I ate the turkey one with my sister which was super tasty and fresh!! A good Italian sub requires stinky sharp cheese and a quality roll. They certainly have both of these. The hard roll with sesame seeds is my favorite. There is a reason why they sell out early.
