The location was clean and pleasant, and we had a nice large and relaxing room to have the massage in. Also Linda and Coco were both great giving us great massages. My lower back felt a lot better after the session. If you are looking for a great massage place in the Pasadena area, I would give HM Warm Spa a look. Tip: They didn't seem to have a parking area, so we had to find street parking. Much (not all) of the street parking in the area is 2 hours. Also, the establishment takes cash only (although they have a ATM inside). My masseuse was great -- I love that they check in with you during the session on your pressure preferences and to make sure you're doing okay. Parking is fairly easy even with street parking. I've visited HM Warm Spa many times, and the service here is very consistent. The massages are always incredible, and the staff does a great job listening to what your preferences are. There is typically very relaxing music playing in the background which adds to the peaceful experience. Although all of my massage specialists have been great, Chloe did an awesome job working on parts of my back and neck that have been very sore. I've only visited on weekdays, but each time, they have a lot of availability and same-day appointments and even walk-ins are possible here. I came here several times for a prenatal massage. I think I had about 3 different masseuses each time, and they were all really good. Good, strong pressure and it really helped my achy hips and back. They were very responsive to my requests for changes in strength and pressure. There is only street parking, but it usually wasn't a huge problem. I was always able to find a spot within a block of the business. While they prefer cash only, they do accept credit cards with an additional fee. I think it was about $3. The space itself is alright. There is a water dispenser in the main lobby waiting area, and each room for massages is separate. But they primarily use towels and blankets during the massage, not a ton of sheets. And for one of my massages, the second table in the room was like covered in electronic equipment lol. So it's not the most professional feel, but it's affordable and they do good work. Overall, it's an affordably priced place to get a massage. Overall it's not the most luxurious experience, but it gets the job done. read more

The interior is quite nice, much nicer than many foot spas and the rooms off street so not a lot of street noise. However, the upstairs neighbors were stomping around and you could hear noise from the restaurant next door (which also looked nice). Also a loud ticking wall clock! I got the combo with hot stones. Great deal and really good massage. It was a little rough but that still felt good. I wish the therapist had asked in advance about the degree of pressure - I could have offered too. I did say it hurt at one point. The only real ding was that I got there, got on the table and then sat waiting for 10 min. And then my hour massage ended closer to the time I arrived (8:30 vs 8:40). If you're looking for a massage at a great price point at a no-frills spa, this is it! Parking is street parking. I went during an off period (Wednesday at 2pm) so didn't have any issue finding a spot. If you go on weekends, I'd make sure to account for time to find a spot. I didn't call in advance for an appointment because I wasn't sure how my day would look. When I arrived, I fortunately was able to be seen asap. Probably because I came during an off period. Lisa was my masseuse and she was great. No complaints. She asked a few times if the pressure was ok and to let her know if I wanted any changes. The massage room is small and includes the massage bed to lay down, a small table or so to put your belongings and clothes, and a stool for the masseuse. It really is a no-frills place and I loved it. Can't complain for the price point! After your treatment, you pay for the service in cash to Amy (owner) and tip your masseuse, who is there at check out as well. This is a cash only establishment! No credit card! There is an ATM available in the shop but there are fees. Some Yelpers have said Zelle so maybe ask about that. Don't rely on Yelp photos for the prices. Always check the website for the most updated prices! The only thing I'd mention is that I was in the room closest to the stairs, and the closest one to the lobby. So during my massage, I could hear the lobby phone ring and when guests came in. In the future, I'll request a farther room so I can relax more. Overall, I'm pleased with my visit. How this place has a great rating I don't know. Here's my take, first I called on a Tuesday around 230pm and no one answered about 3xs. I was finally able to reach someone and they had a 4pm availability which I'm not surprised they want your money lol I asked if they accept credit cards and she said yes and that I would be able to tip on Zelle or Venmo. I arrived about 10mins early and was taken into a room immediately. The rooms are very small with just a table, towels, clock and a small chair. The massage overall was ok, I don't really have any complaints just of the environment. The towel I received was wet, and the table felt a little damp. I didn't like it at all.
