I repeatedly asked her to use less pressure because it was far too painful, but she either didn't understand or chose to ignore my request. Instead of feeling my muscles loosen up, I spent most of the session trying to endure the pain. With about five minutes left, she subtly suggested that there were "additional services" available if I was interested. I looked at her, politely declined, and tried to pretend the conversation never happened. It was awkward and completely unnecessary. As the session was coming to an end, the pain in my neck became unbearable. I finally told her I had had enough and asked to stop early because I genuinely couldn't take it anymore. When I checked out, I left a $10 tip, which I thought was perfectly reasonable considering my experience. She immediately told me the minimum tip should be $20. I've heard this line at too many massage places before, and it's always the same story--asking for more regardless of the quality of the service. I politely refused, paid my bill, and walked out. The real nightmare started the next morning. I woke up with excruciating pain at the base of my neck. It honestly felt like the bones were about to snap. I could barely stand up straight, and every movement sent sharp pain through my neck and upper back. A massage is supposed to leave you feeling refreshed and relieved--not injured. However once I got onto the table my initial perception of this place was all debunked. There's a small unkempt parking lot behind the building and you will have to make your way back onto Main to enter the office. I was asked to pay for my session ($60/hr) upfront before going into a small private room. My massage therapists was very knowledgeable and hit all of my tension areas without having me to point them out. She asked a few brief questions and went on with the relaxing session. No pressure to reschedule or buy into packages. After the session I was able to walk a little better with less back pain. She gave me some tea and asked that I relax a little longer before leaving. We started to chat in the front waiting area and I wasn't able to hold it in anymore. I just had to ask "what is up with the bright green neon lights?!" She started to laugh and told me it was installed by the previous building management and there's not much they can do about it. Even the CPA next door have bright neon blue lights.

I was introduced to this place by my best friend, and since then I have become a regular customer. I have also brought my family here several times because I like this massage shop so much. The prices are very reasonable, and the massages are excellent. My favorite therapist is Lei. He works very hard and always provides a thorough massage. I spend long hours working in front of a computer, and I have also been involved in several car accidents in the past, so I constantly deal with shoulder pain and stiffness. Whenever I come here, I can feel the tension in my shoulders loosening up, which is why I keep coming back. Their Package A includes a foot massage and a full-body massage for one hour. It costs only $30, and I usually leave a $10 tip. Package B includes the same foot massage and full-body massage plus complimentary hot stones. That package costs $40 before tip. Besides Lei, both Tiger and Sam are excellent massage therapists as well. I usually request Lei every time, but yesterday he was not available during our appointment time, so I received a message from Tiger for the first time. Tiger tends to use stronger pressure, but he did a good job, too. My friend usually requests Tiger, but since I was with Tiger yesterday, my friend was treated by Sam instead. According to my friend, Sam is also an excellent massage therapist. I later heard that Sam is actually the owner of the spa. During my friend's massage, Sam was answering reservation calls while working, which made the room a little noisy. Normally there is a lady at the front desk who handles appointments.
