tiktok: centenolv IG: lvcenteno My bf and I each got the $50/1hr massage. They placed us in a couples massage room which was great. I asked the masseuse to focus on my back and shoulder and she did just that! They also use hot stones which really helps elevate the massage. They also serve some tea at the end of the session. Overall, great experience. The facilities were clean and parking is available in the back! read more

Walked in on Labor Day and they were very busy but still able to accommodate me and a friend. Deep Tissue massage for 60 minutes = $60 , and felt very amazing after. This included hot rock massage along with feet massage and head massage. The pressure was just right, music is not too loud very calming. There are separate rooms for privacy and ample parking in the back. Make sure to call and make an appointment if you want a massage as walk ins may be more difficult to accommodate read more

Was able to schedule a couples massage easily on the weekend! I enjoyed my massage with Julie but my boyfriend didn't enjoy his massage as much saying it was more pressure than actual technique. My masseuse Julie on the other hand went over my knots a couple times trying to get them out which is a huge plus for me because isn't that the whole point of a massage. The beds and rooms feel nice. Our room didn't have music just a water fountain making water noises. However as other reviews have mentioned. The masseuses like to talk during the massage to each other. I wish they did whisper as there was literally no music or anything. I got the vibe that the other masseuse was trying to talk to mine more so than it was a 2 way street. But for $50 I enjoyed everything else. read more

What a fool I forgot to take pictures at least the sign and entrance....or the front.... Anyhow after a long and painful week of OrangeTheory and GritCycle I needed some relaxing pain of a deep tissue massage. Asked my friend for recommendations and ended up choosing this place....I called prior to leaving work to make an appointment on a Friday evening....Got there and got a gal named Lisa.... Somehow I was talked into a deep tissue massage it was good but maybe a little stronger would've been nicer...Yeah pain is gain when it comes to massages for me....overall I would say well worth the money compared to a lot of other places and this place is relatively new and clean...both pluses in my book! 4.5 Stars but not a 5....but halves aren't allowed so 4 it is! I'll be back... read more

Yesterday, I had a massage with my fiancé at this spa. While the staff was prompt in responding to our phone booking, they neglected to respond to our online reservation. I would have appreciated it if they had asked us to specify the location and side of our body we wanted to be massaged. Although the spa staff isn't responsible for customer etiquette, a walk-in customer was on speakerphone and engaged in an endless conversation in the waiting room, which completely ruined the relaxing atmosphere of the spa. It would be helpful to have a sign reminding people to be courteous. The spa itself was clean and well-decorated, and my general problem areas were covered during the massage. I hoped she massaged a certain area and side more but we weren't asked. However, the two masseuses were constantly talking to each other, making it difficult to focus on the massage. At the very least, they should whisper if they want to talk, especially during other people's massages. This was the first time I've encountered such disruptive behavior in a massage parlor, and it was quite disappointing. Additionally, my masseuse had long nails that were pinching my skin, making the massage uncomfortable. It felt like I was being massaged by a parrot with all the dialog lol. Overall, the massage wasn't bad, but I wouldn't recommend this spa to anyone. read more

For $50, I really wanted to love it more. I called ahead by 5 mins and they were able to take me which I really appreciated! They have private rooms that looked and felt pretty clean. Bed was comfy but mine had a squeaky noise that got a bit annoying. I appreciated that it came with free hot stones. I got the 1hr massage and although the lady didn't speak English, I was still able to communicate my needs and pressure of the massage. Throughout the hour, she hit the main body parts but kept opening the door to talk with her colleagues which was pretty distracting. I could tell she was also on her phone at times which took away from the experience. If it weren't for those things, it would have been better but I think they could definitely be more attentive with their customers! read more

Check full review @itsamandachamberlain had a wonderful experience at Garfield Spa! I booked the 60-minute massage, and it was exactly what I needed. The therapist took the time to ask where I was holding the most tension and adjusted the pressure to focus on my tight shoulders, which made a huge difference. I also recommend adding the hot stone treatment--it made the massage even more relaxing and helped ease my muscle tension. The spa was clean, peaceful, and the staff was welcoming from the moment I arrived. Pro tip: Parking is available in the back of the building, making it easy to find a spot. I'll definitely be coming back and would recommend Garfield Spa to anyone looking for a relaxing, customized massage in Monterey Park. read more

My husband and I checked out Garfield Spa for the first time on Saturday, 9/13/2025 at 11:00 AM. We called in the morning and easily made a same-day appointment for 1-hour couples deep tissue massage ($60 for 60 minutes - price as of 9/2025) Appointment: It was a good deep tissue massage, but it had been a while since I'd had one that intense, and I found myself in pain during parts of it. I'll admit I was hesitant to speak up, so I just tried to push through the pressure...though looking back, I know I should have said something (I struggle with that!). The masseuse did check in with me at the start, and at that time I felt fine, but the pressure was a little too strong as the session went on. I even ended up with a bruise on my left shoulder afterward. That said, my husband was fine throughout his appointment, and we both agreed they were skilled at targeting specific trouble areas. For me, they focused on my shoulders, while for him, they worked more on his mid-back. They used a variety of techniques throughout the massage, but heavily used their forearm most of the time, which was a slight complaint from my husband. Just keep in mind--when they say deep tissue, they really mean it! Customer Service: Very good, they were quick to pick up the phone and quick to greet when we came in. They can speak both Chinese Mandarin and English, and were friendly. Payment: Credit card and cash are available. Just note that there is a 3% surcharge that's added on. We ended up paying in credit card and providing a 20% cash tip to each masseuse. Parking: Street parking and they also have a parking lot in the back. We had no issues! All in all, we will definitely be back! I just need to tell them to lighten up a little next time. read more

Amy did my massage. I got a 60 min combination reflexology deep tissue massage and it was the most amazing experience ever. She was very thorough, and constantly checked in to make sure I was ok. My fav part was the ending where I got to soak my feet in a hot tub of water, and the hot steam towels and the hot stones. I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, and for only $65, you can't beat it. I will def be returning again soon! Thanks so much! read more

New massage spot in Monterey Park, named Garfield Spa. I gave them a call really last minute since my schedule is never known until pretty late. But they were able to squeeze me in and I got to have quite a nice hour massage. Wish it could be longer, but they didn't have openings since they were busy. But overall this place was nice clean and got my shoulders nice and relaxed! read more

Made a last minute appointment since I was in the area and they were able to accommodate. The place was very clean and very new. The staff were friendly and spoke clear English so during my massage I was able to make my needs known for little or more pressure. Would definitely go again, but I would request to be on the side where the wall isn't shared with the coffee spot next door. The walls are very thin and even with music playing I could still hear everything going on at the coffee shop next-door. My recommendation would be maybe some earplugs for the customer. read more

Garfield Spa - Massage table. Very comfortable. - Massage Near Me - Monterey Park, California

I came across this massage place on TikTok and decided to try it out. When I first walked in, there was nobody at the front desk, so I waited about 5-10 minutes before someone came out to greet me and ask what service I wanted. My boyfriend and I got the couples deep tissue full body massage for $50 each. The massage itself wasn't bad, and the place seemed clean and nice. Since this was my first massage, I liked that they had one big room for two people because it made me feel more comfortable. My favorite part was definitely the hot stones. The only thing I noticed is that the massage did not seem very consistent. I understand everyone massages differently, but there were parts of the service that I received that my boyfriend did not. For example, my massage included my legs and thighs, but his did not. Also, just so others know, the full body massage does include them massaging your butt area. The part that made me uncomfortable was at the end when we paid. My boyfriend only had the exact amount plus $10 cash for a tip, so we gave what we had. The lady then told us we needed to tip more. To me, that felt unprofessional because tips should be optional and based on what the customer chooses to give. There also wasn't any sign stating that a tip was required or that there was a specific tip amount. Overall, the massage was nice and the place was clean, but the ending made the experience feel awkward. read more

Best Chinese spa in town !! My partner and I dis a couples massage. They are fantastic and did an amazing job. Very professional and friendly. They speak Cantonese, mandarin, and enough English. The massage was phenomenal and they did an amazing job. Knew what they were doing. read more

Came here for 30 minutes back & neck massage and I know it is almost the same price a full body massage but I feel four times better since I left and I think that's the move. The place is very clean and very inviting, my masseuse was Eola and she was just really really good! I think I found a regular place for back/neck fix! read more

Love the massages here. Easy booking as well as parking and the masseuse's are great.

Very clean and professional spa experience! FeI Fei was very kind, at first she didn't know I spoke Cantonese so she tried her best to communicate with me in English and using an app to make sure nothing was misunderstood. Making an appointment was easy as well. Definitely will be coming back again read more

Came here after seeing a TikTok video recommending this place and booked a 60-minute deep tissue massage. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from start to finish. They accidentally double booked my appointment, so I had to wait quite a while before being seen. The rooms looked really nice and I was impressed, but it wasn't very relaxing since I could hear toilets flushing and people talking outside throughout the session. My bed was also very squeaky. As for the massage, it was honestly one of the worst I've had. The masseuses relied heavily on using her elbows, and the pressure felt inconsistent - more like random elbowing than an actual deep tissue massage. She also used so much oil to the point where the hot stones and towels didn't remove it all. I had to shower immediately after getting home. The session also felt overly focused on my glutes rather than being a full-body massage (~80% glute 20% other parts of body). At one point, accidental contact was made which made me uncomfortable. I was honestly so surprised and tried to process everything but I wish I had stopped the massage. I then was asked to turn over for a brief face massage that lasted less than a minute, and oil was used there as well, which felt odd. I did also come with someone so we shared a room together. When I had asked if their masseuses did the same thing and if they had the same experience as me, they said yes. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxing massage. read more

Fifi was absolutely amazing!! I came in with my whole body sore and stiff, fifi used lots of techniques that I see other massage locations doing. I left feeling light as a feather. I just found my new favorite place to get a massage in the SGV area. This is the cleanest and most modern Spa in this area with Chinese massages and prices. Interior is new and it has a nice spa feel. I called last minute and was able to get an appointment. I was able to find street parking right out in front. Sasa was great and used good technique for the massage. She was nice and professional. They are able to speak English and Chinese Mandarin. read more

I did an 80 minute session with deep tissue and foot massage. My masseuse was really good and professional. Ambiance is clean and professional and massage is in a private room. She worked hard to get out the knots in my back and neck and I was sore the next day. I'll be back. read more

CLEANEST CHINESE SPA IN TOWN They have 2 locations and this one on Garfield is VERY nice! Right when you walk in you can feel its more spacious, clean, upscale feel but with the Chinese massages and prices! My lady was very sweet. I kept changing my mind on which massage I wanted and she didn't rush me. My 90 minute foot reflexology included head scalp and was $60. I don't like it too hard and she kept asking if I was okay with pressure. Very good job!!! read more

Amazing! I made a reservation the week before and it was very simple! All the staff were very kind and it a good massage. They have a couple different options to choose from and I got the combo one! Inside it's clean and very calming. They keep the rooms more dim so it's easy to relax! read more

had called ahead for a massage and was promptly serviced. the massage was 1 hour and it was a harddddd massage. the pressure was pressuring but felt good. the masseuse should always ask about the pressure which she did. the place was nice and clean. i parked in the back and entered through the back as well. at the end of the service i was seeing double lol would come again and ask for a softer massage :) read more

Wow! Amazing service. My husband and I went in for a couples 60 min full body massage and it was amazing. When we got there we were told to come back for a scheduled time but fortunately someone called and canceled. The ladies were so professional and it was so relaxing. Booked a massage at Garfield Spa as part of a self-care weekend and I'm so glad I did. I went in for a deep tissue massage and thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to finish. The spa was clean, calm, and quiet--exactly the kind of environment you want when you're trying to fully relax. My massage therapist was excellent. The pressure was strong and effective (maybe even a little intense in a few spots), but she was very responsive and adjusted immediately when I asked for slightly lighter pressure in certain areas. I really appreciated how attentive and skilled she was. Overall, it was a great experience and exactly what I needed. I'm already looking forward to my next visit soon. Highly recommend if you're in need of a much needed massage and me time. read more

Let me start by saying that everyone there was nice, we booked same day and my friend showed up late and they still accommodated us for a couples massage. I almost didn't write a review until I seen another review that kind of described my experience. Someone else led me to my room and I hadn't caught a glimpse of my masseuse, she didn't introduce herself, she did ask if I wanted deep tissue and I said no. Someone else got started on my friend but my masseuse said she'd be right back, so she came in minutes later, through my massage I kept hearing her phone go off, and I noticed a pattern of the more her phone chimed the more she walked out. I want to say tota I lost out on 10 min of what I paid for. Additionally I was completely uncovered, only my feet were covered for like 20 min. this was only my thirds massage in my life, so I didn't want to be rude and tell her to cover me if maybe this was her way of doing her job. So I was very cold and tensed up. She massaged my legs while I was face down and I found it weird that I felt only one hand going up and down my thigh, but I was nervous because she was literally only a finger tip away from touching an intimate area. Additionally she pulled my underwear half way down and spent a lot of time on my buttocks. Again I don't often get massages so idk what's to much. When she turned me over to massage my feet, once again i noticed she was only massaging with one hand, so I open my eyes and look up at her and she was on her phone! That's when I got really uncomfortable. I was in nothing but my underwear completely uncovered and this whole time she had her phone on her. I'm not assuming she's taking pictures but one never knows. Or maybe the whole time she was texting, regardless if you have a client 99% naked, there should be a no phone policy in place. My friend whom I got the couples massage with heard my lady keep walking out- even my other friend in a different room heard my masseuse phone chime. I wish I got a different masseuse because both of my friends really enjoyed their massage. read more

This place never disappoints. Linda did an amazing job. She has strong hands. Love this place.

This place is beautiful and clean! Apparently it's their location. My husband had the deep tissue massage and I had the head/neck/shoulder massage with Ella which was great! I was hoping for a relaxing experience at this new massage place, but unfortunately, it didn't meet expectations. The atmosphere was far from peaceful -- there was loud hammering from construction next door throughout most of my session, which made it hard to unwind. Inside the massage room, it was surprisingly noisy. The staff were talking loudly, running in and out, and one woman, who seemed to be in charge, was giving orders to others as if she were a drill sergeant -- all while clients were trying to relax. My massage therapist had decent technique, and I did appreciate how she used her elbow effectively on my back. However, she was way too rough on my neck, arms, and fingers -- it was more painful than therapeutic. There's a big difference between using strength and just being rough. Also, her breath was noticeably unpleasant, which made it uncomfortable at times. Unfortunately, the combination of noise, discomfort, and lack of professionalism means I won't be returning. read more

Clean and friendly place. My lady did a very good job. Had the full body massage for 50 bucks an hour. And gave 25 dollars tip. This place is disgusting. The masseuse doesn't speak English so it's extremely difficult to speak with her. My bed sheets were dirty I have pictures, there was lip stick, blood and dirt. I called to do a 90 minutes deep tissue. I asked for someone strong. The receptionist said no problem. The place is clean and it's recommended by a friend. But it turn out to be the worse massage ever! The masseuse doesn't know how to massage. I feel it's more rubbing. Don't talk about deep tissue which I pay more for it. But it's really just rubbing your back with only 1 way, using her forearm back and forward. It is so bad that I actually cut my massage shorter. And the amazing thing she only did my back and nothing else, I got it I cut the massage shorter but not even my hand? I really wonder if these people even has license. I just feel scammed, don't advertise as deep tissue if only rubbing. And owner can you train your people first before opening? I am more tired and now have a headache after massage than when I came there. And it was very noisy with lots of people, very very disappointed read more
