I've been here a few times before and was in a desperate need for a massage. Luckily I was in the Pasadena area and was able to call and ask if they had space for my best friend and I to walk in . Tip: use their website number and not the number posted on the yelp page for some reason it wasn't going through that way. Walked in and was promptly taken to a couples massage room which was clean and neat. We opted for the 90 min massage which included hot stones for 95 dollars . Amazing experience. My girlfriend and I traveled from the South Bay. Upon arrival, you will need to bring cash and park across the street in the Rite Aid parking lot it's free. The owner "Amy was very communicative before we arrived with details. You will have to book your appointment over the phone. Don't worry it was easy. This place was clean and smelled good. We ran a few minutes behind schedule. But Amy was patient and friendly. We got a couples massage and it was amazing. I had muscle spasms/ stress in my shoulders. They were able to massage the kinks out effectively. I highly recommend getting the hot stones it was fantastic. Overall amazing massage at affordable prices. This place is a total hidden gem. I recently went with my partner because we really needed a full body treatment to bring relief to our bodies. Checking in was so easy and comfortable and we felt taken care the moment our masseuses came in. We communicated our needs and where we needed extra attention. I could feel how loose my body was becoming over the course of the massage. Then the hot stones came and they were like a warm hug to my muscles. Made an appointment with no issue. Got into the room upstairs and noticed there was just a towel to cover myself. I have had hundreds of massages in my life and never used just a towel. One of the beds in the room had a dirty cloth where your face goes, so I chose the other. That should have been my first clue. A young male came in to do the massage. He tucked the towel under my underwear as they usually do but pulled my underwear down halfway down my behind. I thought that was strange but- I don't know- maybe there was a reason. Once he moved done to do my legs, he had my full behind exposed minus the crack. When he went to the other leg, he did not cover up the first leg as what is usually done. So at that point, both of my legs and behind were exposed. It didn't feel right but I was kind of frozen, unsure of what to do (I should have gotten up, called him a name or two, and left). When massaging my behind/legs, he had his fingers much too close to my crack and inner thigh. I'm giving these details in hopes that females stop frequenting this business. It was completely inappropriate. Never going back. read more

Rude Service. Don't speak English. Bruises next day. I legitimately think a lot of these reviews are just bought/fake. Firstly the people don't even speak English so when I ask if I take my shirt off or where to put my clothes, they just stare at me. The massage was so hard even after telling them to go easier, my whole back hurts this next morning Oh yeah, CASH ONLY When you go up to pay, the lady at the front doesn't even open her mouth, she just points to the ATM machine.... Once I got there I was easily checked in and asked to fill the form of where I would like to focus on/avoid which I really appreciated. I highlighted my shoulders/traps area since that is where I carry most of my tension and pain. Upon entering the treatment room, it was quaint and perfect. My therapist started off in the areas that I experience the most pain and quickly helped me relieve the tenderness in those areas which I was so grateful for. I've been into countless other massage rooms where I spend nearly an arm and a leg and don't even provide any relief like my therapist Tina did! I was sooo so grateful, I could've cried. Throughout the whole treatment I felt really comforted and taken care of. Her touch was firm but most of all, perfect. The technique was unlike any other massage I've had in the best way possible. It felt like a lot of acupressure involved which I appreciated. The music was serene and the essential oils really help you relax! Technique issues:** The first 45 minutes involved using her feet to rub over the sheets, which was VERY painful and not therapeutically effective. I kept telling her ouch... it hurts. Missed targets:** I explicitly asked to focus on my neck and shoulders, but the massage emphasized arms and legs. Even after flipping, the upper back/shoulders/traps did not receive the requested attention with only 10 minutes left. And then she proceeded to go back onto my legs, and I had to tell her no. She then went to my shoulders for two minutes or less, and then proceeded to rub my rhomboids. I told her my shoulders and traps hurt not my rhomboids. I don't think she understood. Like I said it's a language barrier... and if I'm pain, I feel it's not my responsibility to educate. Communication:** There may have been a language barrier contributing to misalignment with my goals. Bottom line This session did not meet my expectations for anatomy-informed, goal-directed work. A different therapist at the same clinic or clearer pre-session communication might yield better results. The massage was probably one of the worst massages I've ever had.. And I definitely will not be back to try anybody else. When looking into another room, all the rooms seem to have bars on the ceiling and look like they may all have the same technique... not a fan!

I have back and neck problems and have gotten at least one massage a month for the last 10+ years. For the last several years, Lucky is the only therapist I've gone to. She's consistent, understands anatomy and musculature, and she tailors the massage to your needs. I prefer medium-pressure Swedish style, but shes versatile and she'll supplement with some stretching or even walking on your back if you request it, and I've enjoyed the therapeutic value of both of those things on occasion. She's a very capable massage therapist, and for me, her massages are the perfect blend of bodywork and relaxation. The facilities are clean, and the front desk staff is consistently friendly and helpful. I've been to this spot since it was called The Massage Place, then The Massage Hub, and now Massage One Wellness. I purchase massage packages to take advantage of the package discount, and I've never had any issues with them honoring my package when they've changed the store name. I see some reviews where gift cards weren't honored; maybe it's a physical gift card instead of the packages purchased at the front desk? I always pre-buy the package when I'm checking out, and the package is then digitally associated with my account. If you're looking for a quality massage for a fair price, try Lucky at Massage One!

The craziest part to me was that my fiancé felt uncomfortable because his masseuse was only using one hand because she was using her other hand to be on her phone calling people. HUH??? How unprofessional. I was baffled to hear this. Then the last half of the massage it seemed like she was simply rubbing just to pass time and not actually massage.
