Massage was great... no complaints there BUT the manager May is something else. We barely finished with our 60-minute massage and were getting dressed when she opens the door and sends her employee to clean out the room-- we were still putting on our clothes! RUDE!!! She was obviously reprimanding her employee in her language to hurry up and clean up for the next customers. She kept the door open and they both started stripping the beddings off (at least we know they changed those) while we were still putting on our clothes! We weren't even taking our time, it was the worst experience we've ever had in a place of "relaxation". WE FELT VIOLATED! We have been patrons for years. Hands down the best massage experience I've ever had. My partner and I spent an entire evening at the amusement park the previous day. We were looking for a massage spa to rest our tired bodies. I called around the local area in Pasadena with low expectations because same day appointments are rare for quality places. HM Warm Spa was the only place that had any availability. Amy, the receptionist, booked our appointment and we were on our way. The spa was easy to find and street parking was plenty. We entered the spa and waited about 3 minutes before we were called into our room. The rooms were clean and well air conditioned. The masseuses were incredibly attentive to our needs and gave us a complimentary hot stone therapy for our couple's massage. The price point was great, 60 dollars for the both of us. I've had high end 500 dollar Japanese couples massages and they didn't compare to what I had experienced at HM Warm Spa. If you want a good full body massage, come here. I am a massage therapist. AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS! I went to HM Warm Spa last night because I had a kink in my neck from working all day. I booked an hour and was told to be there at 7:30. I arrived and the woman told me I can't do an hour because I'm "too long". I said I just wanted upper body and she said no, "too long". So I agreed to 90 minutes. She left thew room for me to lay down and I kept my outer shorts and socks on because again, I just wanted upper body. When she came back in she told me to remove my shorts. Keep in mind there was no second sheet on the table to cover myself, but I complied, leaving my boxer briefs on. After the compressions she slid my underwear down past my butt cheeks without my permission or warning and proceeded to massage. Since I hadn't been touched inappropriately I didn't say anything. but when she was done with my back she slid them all the way off while going down to work my legs. WTF?! The massage wasn't just bad it was painful and embarrassing. I have a bruise on my lower back on the spine where she insisted on running her elbow multiple times, not on muscle, but spine and not once did she address my neck or shoulder. Then she turned me over, again with no sheet or covering and opened the door numerous times to go out and get something (hot stones I think), laying there uncovered like a butchers counter literally next to the front door of the "spa". Her only saving grace was that she never touched me inappropriately or I would have called the police. Then I go to pay and the woman tells me the new price for 90 minutes and I go to hand her my card and she points behind me and says "ATM". Never on the phone or before beginning the service did she tell me it was cash only. So I had to pay an extra $4 surcharge for the displeasure of laying on that table. I would raise a complaint in person but neither spoke enough english to tell me it was cash only or to remove my OWN clothes so I didn't see a point. read more

I did the body scrub with massage for $80, pretty good price! I wish they also massaged my feet but the body scrub did take the majority of the time. My masseuse did do a good amount of upper back and shoulder massaging so maybe you can just ask them to massage your feet for some of the massage portion too. I used to only get massages just to relax or for special occasions. Now with the extreme stressful daily working conditions due to this pandemic (I'm in healthcare)-- well.. I need massages to function. As of late I can barely move my neck from side to side and luckily it is very easy to make same day or even walk in appointments here. I've literally called 10 mins before the next hour to ask if I can walk in and the answer was always yes. I usually try to come here when my usual masseuse isn't available This place is nothing spectacularly fancy but the few times I've been here, the massages are well done. I appreciate that it is very clean, and that you get a separate room for the full body massages. The showers aren't open in the rooms due to COVID but they do wipe you down when you're done so you're not left feeling sticky with oils. There may be a language barrier so if you need to focus on a specific spot please tell the lady at the front so she can translate to the therapist before your session, If you can overlook that and the lack of typical spa decor, you will definitely be happy after your massage. It's 60$ for a full body massage and cheaper for a foot massage. Parking is free on green street or you can park at rite aid and walk over. Go try it if you're in the area . read more

Best massage spot I have found within 30 minutes of downtown LA, and I tried a LOT. I've probably had over 40+ massages here now, that alone should tell you something. Every therapist is a master of their art and knows how to detect and unravel even the most difficult of knots, and they are so well staffed that you can almost always depend on getting an appointment even last minute (I rarely book more than a couple hours in advance, if that). Their rooms are comfortable, with heated tables and soothing music. The hot stone massage is particularly excellent and always sends me to another universe. Highly recommend, you won't regret it! The *only* point of improvement I would say is the head rests - the way they force your head to be lifted off the table is super uncomfortable, especially during upper back work - I would love to see tables with the typical U-shaped head rests extending from the end of the table. read more
