I used to only get massages just to relax or for special occasions. Now with the extreme stressful daily working conditions due to this pandemic (I'm in healthcare)-- well.. I need massages to function. As of late I can barely move my neck from side to side and luckily it is very easy to make same day or even walk in appointments here. I've literally called 10 mins before the next hour to ask if I can walk in and the answer was always yes. I usually try to come here when my usual masseuse isn't available This place is nothing spectacularly fancy but the few times I've been here, the massages are well done. I appreciate that it is very clean, and that you get a separate room for the full body massages. The showers aren't open in the rooms due to COVID but they do wipe you down when you're done so you're not left feeling sticky with oils. There may be a language barrier so if you need to focus on a specific spot please tell the lady at the front so she can translate to the therapist before your session, If you can overlook that and the lack of typical spa decor, you will definitely be happy after your massage. Came in on a Saturday morning for a couples massage. I called in during the week and made an appointment, great communication with Amy. There is plenty of free parking along the street easy to spot ,the spa is located right on the corner. We came in during the covid pandemic so as soon as we walked we got hand sanitizer and then brought right back into the room. We wore our masks the entire time and so do the staff. Honestly is was not a problem breathing or relaxing. The room was clean, the linens smelled great, soothing ambience with relaxing music. Our massage tables were right next to each and we each got our own masseur. I got a deep tissue massage and my fiancé got a Swedish massage. Best massage spot I have found within 30 minutes of downtown LA, and I tried a LOT. I've probably had over 40+ massages here now, that alone should tell you something. Every therapist is a master of their art and knows how to detect and unravel even the most difficult of knots, and they are so well staffed that you can almost always depend on getting an appointment even last minute (I rarely book more than a couple hours in advance, if that). Their rooms are comfortable, with heated tables and soothing music. The hot stone massage is particularly excellent and always sends me to another universe. Highly recommend, you won't regret it! The *only* point of improvement I would say is the head rests - the way they force your head to be lifted off the table is super uncomfortable, especially during upper back work - I would love to see tables with the typical U-shaped head rests extending from the end of the table. read more

My partner and I called to get a couples massage. They asked what time we wanted to schedule. They immediately scheduled us for that time and got us in the door and in the room immediately upon arrival. The service was very quick. Payment can be made by Zelle or through cash. Reminders and instructions were provided via text. My only criticisms are that the room was a little chilly and I would have preferred to have either a warming pad on the massage table or a warmer temperature in the room or heavier blanket or sheet. Got a European Facial with a 30 min masaage. They both were good. I wished the lady had used slower strokes while doing the massage and facial. It would have been more relaxing. She was kind of rough. The spa is clean, but the downstairs room needs to be cleaned better. It had a moldy smell to it when I walked in. Also, it would be better if the staff didn't warm their food in the microwave while the downstairs room is being used. I could smell the food. It was not pleasant to smell that while I was getting a facial. When I went to pay, the woman who collected my money had a mouthful of food when she told me how much I had to pay. It was kind of gross. I still think it was a good service and I would return. If the staff improve on these little things, it will be even better. read more

We LOVE HM Warm Spa. We've been coming here since (at least) 2014/2015. We always do the Couples 1-Hour massage, and it's glorious. The massage therapists are very good. They listen to the pressure that you want, and they have good, even pressure. They know when and where to push a little harder, too. The facilities are so wonderful. You're welcomed by beautiful Green Street, and the spa has a gorgeous archway. The rooms have heated tables, showers, and nice comfy towels/blankets. Amy, the receptionist, has worked here as long as we've been coming. She's so nice and always makes sure we're connected with great massage therapists and comfy rooms. She's so wonderful! My husband and I came in for a date night/couple's massage tonight, as it was way overdue. I came in with major upper shoulder and neck pain. So much so, I couldn't even turn my face to the left or right due to the pain and muscle tension...Well, here I am -- post massage by Jeny and let me tell you, I feel like a new woman. I found the "extreme value massage" to be rather misleading (It costs $25), and that led me to be thinking that this was a full body massage because it mentioned that it is including neck, shoulder, back, etc. by showing you a picture of a foot! Let me be clear: this is a "foot massage" (I can totally get a foot massage else where for $20! How "extreme value" could this be)! I personally did not have a pleasant experience here. There are 4 stations for foot massage close to the entrance by the reception area. The receptionist separated my friend and I, which was ok as we were not planning to talk anyways. As i was getting a massage, people were walking around and talking loudly at the reception area, so I was not able to really relax. The water that I soaked my feet in was cold, and the lady massaged me was like literally "touching" me instead of massaging me. She did not check-in with me about the pressure, and I am not sure if she did this because she thought that I was asleep. I specially requested for her because I saw other Yelpers recommended her. Feeling disappointed. On the other hand, the lady who massaged my friend was sick as she seemed to have a runny nose. My friend got sick (cold) on the next day. I do not feel comfortable coming back again, especially during COVID. *P.S. My back was still hurting, and leg muscles were still tense after the massage.
