She took us to our private room and instructed us on how to get ready before our massages. She also made sure to emphasize that we shouldn't be shy and that we should let our masseuses know how we want the massage: whether we want it softer or more pressure, or if we want focus on specific parts or to leave other parts alone. I got a couples massage for 90 minutes in a clean, and quiet room. I was asked if I preferred a male or female masseuse and so was my boyfriend, it was really nice that we were asked our preference. I requested a medium pressure massage and they delivered. If you are more sensitive to massages, I would suggest requesting light pressure. The masseuses we got were very strong and thorough. My medium massage and my partner's hard massage was definitely on the stronger side, but we didn't mind. I feel so relaxed after 2 long years in nursing school. We had the 60min full body massage and i personally was very impressed. I was massaged from the tips of my toes and fingers to the tips of my ears and hair! I wanted to have a longer foot massage but because it was my first time, i wanted to experience what the regular full body massage was. It was fantastic! (But now that i know what its like, i will ask for less back and more hand and foot next time). I had Wendy and she was phenomenal and strong. I had asked for medium but she was kinda still hard - i was completely okay with that tho i had pretty bad knots that i didnt know existed until she worked them out. I got a foot massage. They put my friend and I side by side in the same room, which was nice. The foot massage includes full body pretty much. I would have liked slightly more time on the feet. My favorite massage place in the Pasadena area. I can always get an appointment in the same day and they're super accommodating with scheduling as well if we're running a little early or late. Me and my husband get the couples massage ($130 for 1 hour) every few months and the masseuses are kind, responsive to our needs and feedback, and have super strong hands that we're able to work through the knots in my back. I love that they use hot stones near the end, and the 1 hour massage always feels very well rounded. Coming back soon! Very bad experience!!! The owner/manager rushed in while we were still getting dressed without knocking the door!!! I went in for a couples massage and, although we arrived on time, we had to wait about 30 minutes before being taken to the massage room. That wasn't a big problem, and the masseuses themselves were good throughout the session. However, when the session ended and we were still getting dressed, the owner/manager opened the door without knocking. The next clients were standing right behind her, which made the situation even more uncomfortable and inappropriate. She immediately started rushing the masseuses to clean up the room while we were still inside. The lack of privacy and professionalism was very upsetting. It's hard to find good quality massages around us here and we only get massages in Vietnam. This is the closest thing and we love it! Our masseuses were Tina and Lisa. I came to HM Warm Spa on Friday (after Thanksgiving) because I was in desperate need of a massage. I called a few days in advance to make sure that they would be open and scheduled an appointment over the phone. Then I got a text message confirming the appointment. I got the 60 min. body massage ($60) and my masseuse was named Julia (what a coincidence!). Massage lasted about 40 minutes on my stomach and included hot stones, then flipped over and did the front for the remainder of the hour. I didn't tell Julia where to massage or points of focus, but I felt like she just knew where I was carrying my knots and stress. I was asked if I wanted medium or hard pressure, and I asked to start off with medium and it was actually perfect pressure for me. I definitely feel like the massage was great for the price and will be back again for perhaps a couples massage or even the 90 min. massages since they're great price points as well. Parking is street parking on Green St. or any of the neighboring streets (i.e. Mentor or Catalina). They also have complimentary water and some small candies in the lobby area. Restroom was clean. The massages are solid. I've been three times and I've found the massage work to be well-done. The hot stones are by default but you can ask them not to include those. My main issue is that the last two times I've been there, either the front desk or massage therapist have tried to upsell me on adding time/services . I always book for 60 minute long sessions but the last two times I went, they'll say something to the effect of, "you wanted 90 minutes, right?" The second time I went, they asked if I wanted to add a second therapist for a "four hands" massage. At best, this means their scheduling system is poor because they're not recording what customers are asking for when they book. At worst, it feels like they're hoping I'm not paying attention and therefore, will agree to more expensive services that I didn't ask for. It happening once, I could overlook. But it just happened again this past week. I have little doubt that if I went back again, it would happen again. read more

It's Labor Day and I decided to see if there were any openings for today. I called and there was no issue getting in at 3 p.m. Note that I did not specify a masseuse. Parking is super easy. The salon is located just after Malbec. I parked in the Rite Aid lot and had no issue. Let me preface this by saying this is a no-frills salon. Do you go to a massage for the frills or to be kneaded like the best dough your grandma is going to use for some homemade bread? If the answer is the latter, you won't be disappointed. As pictured, the room is small and there are no seats or other furniture on which to place your belongings. There are, however, two hooks and that will suit you just as well. There is no heated, weighed down blanket. You'll be fine without the blanket. You get a bath sized towel as your cover and that will keep you warm enough. Also, this was the most comfortable face rest I have ever experienced. Usually I find laying down is a bit awkward but not today. Soft spa music plays in the background but you may hear voices outside your room. I did the 60 min massage ($60). The massage starts off with the masseuse (I had Jessica) warming up your muscles. At first I thought the whole massage was going to be performed over the bath towel as the warm up was a bit more thorough than usual, but no, oils/lotions are used. You are asked the focus area and how you like the pressure. As for me, I prefer hard pressure - no pain, no gain - and my focus is always my back/neck. I am very "knotty". Jessica really worked into my muscles. Did she remove my "knottiness"? Wouldn't you like to know lol. J/K. If Jessica was able to remove all of my knots, she would have to be declared a Saint. But, I'm a mess so she did really well nonetheless. My body feels less tense and that's always the goal. Also, they use hot stones so that's a plus. If you've never had hot stones used on you, think along the lines of gua sha (but you won't be bruised). If you don't know what that is, I can't help you further lol. You'll enjoy it, take my word for it. I highly recommend Jessica if you're looking for someone that can definitely apply pressure. I'm sure I'll have some bruises in the coming days but for me that means the job was well done. I don't go to a massage to get pet like I have fur - I go to be kneaded very well. I took note of the time we started and the end time - they're honest. You are able to pay via cash or Zelle (tip is added to the payment amt). These girls work hard and you're already getting a break on the massage price so be generous to your masseuse. Also, shoutout to Amy who immediately provided Jessica her tip after I paid. Be assured the tip does go to the masseuse. In sum, well worth massage for the price. You don't need frills to walk out of there feeling good. Just go! read more

I had my first experience at the spa for my birthday and got the one hour massage and facial. I love that they included hot stones in the package and not as an extra fee. I told my masseuse, Jenny, to apply medium pressure and to focus on my back and feet. She did exactly that. The facial was also wonderful!! I loved the face mask she used on me, I never experienced that before. Overall it was amazing. The best massage I ever had!!!
