Ambience is very nice. I enjoyed the Chinese music playing the background. The booths are pretty large. I'm very short and had to sit forward, so most people will probably be comfortable. We shared the half roast duck which was very good. It's cut into sections but has all the bones. It came with a very good sauce that perfectly complimented the duck. We asked for white rice which is jasmine rice and for some reason it tasted phenomenal to me and I had to force myself to stop. I had a small bowl of hot and sour soup which has a lovey color and tasted great. My husband had pork egg rolls which were good but paled in comparison to the other items we had. Highly recommend if you want to try more authentic Chinese cuisine, but they have American favorites like orange chicken and sesame chicken, kung pao, too. Meals are served traditional family style.

Finally, we have a place in Tulsa for dim sum. This has been too long wait for me. Dim sum at Hiya Chili is currently available only on the weekends from 10:30 AM - 3 PM. The dim sum menu at Hiya Chili was limited compared to other dim sum restaurants in bigger cities. I loved the chrysanthemum hot tea, just like the one in Oklahoma City. Shao mai (shu mai), steamed spare ribs with black bean sauce, and century egg and pork congee were okay/good. Pan fried eggplant with stuffed shrimp and Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce were excellent. I probably won't try Hiya Chili's non-dim sum dishes. We have plenty of other Chinese restaurants that are good for that, but Hiya Chili is the only one filling the dim sum niche for Tulsa. For that sole reason, it deserves the last star.

Amazing!!! Just amazing Food. If you like the Americanized chinese food of Panda Express. Then you will definitely love the food here, because they do it so much better. And then if you're looking for some more traditional chinese dishes including "Dim Sum" well, this place has that. We've only been here twice , but we have tried so many dishes and everything tastes just amazing. The ambience is more traditional, and inviting. And we found the customer service here to be top-notch of any other Chinese restaurant we've been to in the past few years. Every single server or team member of this restaurant were all smiles, courteous, and seems so genuine. On my reviews, I usually just grade my experience with food, customer service, and the ambience. But this place I absolutely recommend you try if you enjoy both types of Chinese food. 5 stars all around.

Best dim sum I've had in Tulsa! But the show stopper for me was the pork belly with salted preserved veggies. It was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The menu is huge and filled with a variety of truly authentic Chinese dishes. The service was quick and the dim sum carts continually made rounds to all the tables.

So glad to have an authentic Dim sum restaurant in Tulsa!!! It was so good and they had a wide variety of dim sums! This is only Saturday and Sunday, other days they have authentic Chinese food. There were plenty of wait staff and the service was very fast and attentive!!

Authentic Chinese restaurants sometimes use peculiar proteins, and various animal body organs, that the FDA doesn't even allow in cat food. When ordering Chinese food always be cautious and safe. Follow the wise advice of General Tso, as he once famously said, "when selecting your Chinese food, especially the protein, first make sure that it can be identified, then make sure that it is thoroughly fried!" The Hiya Chili restaurant is exquisite. I don't believe I have ever used that word for any restaurant, especially a Chinese restaurant. Hiya Chili inside is bright clean and beautifully decorated, attractive, appealing, comfortable. The service matches the ambiance; professional attentive. The menu is large. On that menu, Americanized dishes and the food items that General Tso warns us about: Pig turd tunnel (intestine), Pig feet, Spicey Blood Curd and some kind of fungus. We took the General's advice and stuck to the Americanized dishes on the Lunch Special Menu. Tso is the General's American name; on the menu he goes by General Tao. I had that, General Tao's Chicken. My wife had the Orange Chicken. I knew this would be more food than we could eat, but I really wanted to try the appetizers, Scallion Pancake and Smashed Cucumber Salad. Check all of the pictures. The Lunch Specials came with the choice of soup, a wanton or eggroll, and a choice of rice. Great combo meals. Everything was absolutely delicious. The stand out was the Orange Chicken. The fragrant orange aroma is detected before the bite of food lands on your tongue. It finished with a little smack of heat from the spicey red chili pod slices. The egg roll was unusually fresh and mild in flavor. It tasted too good the be a frozen factory production. If it was, I was successfully fooled. I really like the fresh Crushed Cucumber Salad, but my wife is not a fan of the sesame oil flavor. Lots of food. We left with a tasty bag of leftovers. A very enjoyable dining experience, delicious food, excellent service in a nice restaurant. The nicest and best new Chinese restaurant in Tulsa. 我真係好鍾意呀!

Gave Hiya Chili a try and overall had a good experience. Service was friendly, and we ordered four dishes though only three made it to the table. The server had repeated everything back, but the fourth item didn't arrive. It was still on our bill, but they removed it without issue when we pointed it out. Everything we tried was pretty good, but I wouldn't order the Spicy Fish w.Pickled Cabbage again. Mandarin Taste does a better version of that dish. I'd still go back to check out their dim sum and explore more of the menu.

What can I say? It was a reminder of the food I had growing up. Everything was delicious.... I especially loved the roast duck and the beef chow fun (flat noodles). I want to come back for dim sum. The waitstaff was very sweet, too. I look forward to coming back.

First time to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We tried a variety of dishes, and were happy with all of them. The restaurant was very clean and the wait staff were friendly. The booths were nice and roomy, with a large table to accommodate all your dishes without feeling crowded.

Very crowded and busy Sunday morning. Tried dim sum, fried noodle and egg yolk tofu, taste okay. Not worthy for the price. 塔村第一家正经早茶店,还能吃,就是不能过多评价是否正宗了

Our server was extremely friendly and quickly brought us drinks. Since this was our first time it took us a while to look over the menu which was quite extensive. The entire back page of the menu was filled with lunch specials which are priced very reasonably at $7.99. We all ordered from the lunch menu. I ordered Chicken lo Mein anda cup of Hot & Sour soup. The other people in my party ordered Sesame Chicken and General Tso's Chicken. All three of us were extremely pleased with the service and the quality of the food. My hot and sour soup was extremely delicious. It was chock full of sliced mushrooms and several pieces of tofu and it was almost a meal in itself and was served very hot. My Chicken lo Mein was equally delicious. The others in my party praised their meals as well and all three of us felt that we had finally found an excellent Chinese restaurant. I look forward to my next visit.

You can get all the common dishes here but you can also get some unusual dishes that are very authentic. My grandson once ordered jelly fish. You can't get that at very many local restaurants. Another thing I like is that they have a couple of large round tables with lazy Susans. Our extended family sat at one of those tables once. It was fun putting the things we wanted to share on the lazy Susan and being able to spin it around and try what we wanted. It made for fun conversation talking about the different dishes. That was when our grandson ordered jellyfish. The restaurant is fairly small but the large tables make the restaurant good for groups. I think this would be an excellent place for a Yelp event. They have a lunch menu but you have to ask for it. It includes some of the popular Asian dishes for $9:95. They have smaller portions that come with a choice of soup or egg roll. Danny and I asked to see the lunch menu, but decided to order off the main menu. We split Crispy Tofu with garlic sauce and egg rolls. I liked the presentation of the egg rolls. They were cut diagonally and arranged nicely on the plate. The tofu dish was quite tasty. Next time, I plan to get Mei Fun. I have had it here before and loved the variety of flavors. The service wasn't terrible but it wasn't wonderful. We got our food in a timely manner, but we felt rushed to order and she didn't check to see if we needed anything or refill our water glasses. Service here has been excellent in the past. I am glad we came back to Chengdu and were reminded of how much we like it. We will be back soon.

I have had the opportunity to eat at some of the finest Chinese restaurants throughout San Francisco and have eaten at some of the best Chinese restaurants in Baja Mexico (I realize this may sound ridiculous, but Mexico has some of the best Asian restaurants). It may surprise you but the Chinese influence and culture is very rich in Baja. And, I like some heat! I am also somewhat familiar with the Schahuan region style of cooking recognized for being spicy and hot! I was visiting from Texas, my cousin and kinda fell upon this restaurant accidentally! Truly I forgot what all we ordered but I know I had the Green Beans and Chicken Lo Mein. This is one of the top three Chinese restaurants I have ever eaten at! The food was so authentic, just enough heat and delicious! I would love to return.

When I moved out of Tulsa in 2015, I made sure to eat there every single time I visited town (which is at least once a year). Unfortunately, on my last recent visit, the food had sharply declined in quality. Others had told me it had declined the last year or so, but obviously I had to try it myself. They clearly changed the lo mein recipe A LOT. It used to be my favorite lo mein on the planet, now it's so painfully average you could get the same lo mein anywhere else. The vegetables and tofu also weren't as flavorful, not was the kung pao chicken. The sesame chicken was still pretty good, as were the egg rolls. I'm BEGGING you all to please bring back the old lo mein recipe and go back to what you were doing before. There's a reason you survived in that cursed strip mall for so long while so many other businesses failed. Your old recipes competed with Flushing Queens (NYC, best Chinatown in the country) and now your food is average.
