So I went to the front and a different lady said wow they never checked you in. So she did and I waited another 5 minutes and then was called back. The medical assistant proceeded to take my blood pressure (no other vitals matter I guess which was a first) and then told me that I needed to wait because there was two people now ahead of me. So by this time it is already 45 minutes past my appointment. I asked how long and they told me they didn't know. So after hour and 15 minutes passed I was over it and requested to speak with the office manager. That was a waste of time. He apologized and said he would look into the situation. After finally the doctor coming in it was some random surgeon who had no clue about my surgery. I was beyond pissed off. She took 5 minutes on my appointment about me and then proceeded to tell me about how she had to be with a sobbing patient and if I was sobbing she would spend more time with me. This place wasted my time. A 5 minute appointment took 2 hours. I would have been better off if they said follow up with your primary care physician because that is exactly what I am about to do. I don't trust the capability or competence of this office. I would have felt better if I spoke to the actual surgeon who performed my procedure not some random surgeon who never touched me. She just looked at the glue over the stenches. Didn't perform a real examination. If I could rate this experience as a zero I would. I wish I could have chosen Wake or Duke surgery instead. Beware!!! If you have an option go to the another hospital. Rex has gone down hill since they switched to UNC healthcare.

Rather than tell me this at check in and give me the option of canceling they proceeded with the appointment. I find that incredibly underhanded and deceptive. Now I'm stuck with a $200 bill and when I sent a payment they sent it back because they no longer take checks. So my options are send cash to an office that has already proven to me they are completely dishonest or send them my credit card number for all of the staff to have access to. Or go there in person and pay which is out of my way. Terribly shady business practices as far as I'm concerned.

The staff is wonderful from the front door to when you are done. Everyone is friendly, patient and caring. It's a bit of a drive for us, about 40 minutes, but it's a great surgery center and we trust our dr so it's worth the drive. The facility is very clean, many Covid precautions are being taken and we felt very comfortable there, despite dealing with a pandemic. The rules have changed dramatically due to Covid but they are there to ensure safety and it was no problem at all to adhere. Highly recommend this center - very kind phone staff as well, frequent phone calls to remind you of deadlines and protocol and they handle insurance for you which is a big relief.

My surgery was 7/22. Of course I overpaid. They claimed that I would receive a refund within thirty days. I called after thirty days. The refund was not processed. I was told it would be thirty more days. Thirty one days later I have no sign of a refund. Avoid doctors who associate with the Blue Ridge Surgery Center. If you need surgery, you will likely give an interest free loan to the millionaires who own BRSC. In my case, avoid Saleeby and Wessels. BRSC exploits you when you are most vulnerable.

You do have to walk across the indoor bridge to get there unless you valet park. They charge $2 an hour for parking. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Everything is done with an arm bracelet for things such as lab or testing. I had an appointment with neuromuscular department. The physicians and therapists are excellent. They're very thorough and up to date on current medicines and trials. The EMG center is in the same clinic so it's super convenient. Being part of the Duke portal is convenient for Atrium Wake Forest and Cone Health because all testing is visible and they can also see visit notes from the doctors. It makes it possible to see providers from different networks and not having to bring in or sign for your records to be shared. The facility is massive and the color system makes it easy to find your way. There are several labs so you don't have to walk a mile to get to one. Most walk in tests can accommodate with minimal waiting. It's about a quarter mile walk from the parking garage to the clinics so wear comfy shoes or walking device. You will have a lot of walking to do and there's limited seating in the main corridors.

I found this place on google when searching for infant ear piercing. I had it in my head that a…read morepediatrician would be a better choice than going to the mall. I called to make the appointment for about a month out because I wanted my daughter to be 6 months old. We arrived about 15 minutes early per the instruction of the appointment setter. We also brought $40 cash (no checks or cards accepted for ear piercing (kind of a weird policy, but whatever). We ended up waiting for almost an hour. The front desk gal didn't give us any information about why we were left out there so long. I finally asked if we could reschedule and she told me Dr. Haynes was running behind. I told her I wish she would have called and told me to come later so I wouldn't be sitting in the lobby with a cranky 6 month old and bored 4 year old for an hour. Dr Haynes was very nice and took her time with the explanation. It was obvious she doesn't do many piercings and I thought about leaving, but it had already been such an ordeal I just wanted it over. She got the earrings in quickly, so that was a plus. One was a little crooked. She gave me a pamphlet for the earring manufacturer so I could order earrings down the road. She told me that she has extra backs on hand so if we ever lose one, we can just stop by to get one. I thought it was a nice gesture and made the experience more personal. It occurred to me that the people at the mall do this all day and we probably would have had even piercings and been out in 10 minutes. It was ok because I liked Dr. Haynes and she seemed genuine. Skip to yesterday. We lost an earring back and stopped by stepping stones to buy a replacement pair. Instead of bumming a free back, I figured I would be proactive and just buy a new pair. The gal at the front desk was super rude and said she didn't know if they would sell earrings. She took my name and number and promised to call me in the morning. I hadn't heard anything by 11am so I called her to ask for an update. She was clearly irritated and told me she will call me when she has an answer. I didn't hear from her by almost 5p so I called again. I got a different gal who put me on hold and tried to get an answer immediately. She ended up taking my name and number and promised to call me before the end of the day. As promised, she returned my call within about an hour. Are said they will not sell the earrings, so I asked about getting just a back as Dr. Haynes originally offered. She grunted, put me on hold for 2 seconds, and then came back to say there are no extra backs. Disappointing service from the staff. Not sure if Dr. Haynes is even aware of the situation. With those front desk gals acting the way they do, I doubt they even asked her at all. Do yourself a favor and go to the mall. They do it for a living and probably have better aim. Everyone I have talked with says the mall gals have great customer service too.
