West Coast Roll and Firecracker Roll
Audrey E.

Came in for a work happy hour / dinner and it was a great choice! We can right after work and we had no issue getting space for about 20 people. The service was great, especially considering the size of our group, they checked on us many times and brought our food out nice and quick. We got a bunch of apps to split - my favorites were the short ribs and the crab rangoons! I also got the west coast roll and firecracker roll - both were great!

I really enjoy the atmosphere and lighting! The staff are always friendly and informative of the menu. Always recommend the short ribs and jalapeño bacon crab Rangoon. I think they have one of the best priced happy hour menus in Omaha for sushi as well!

First time visitor Open parking Primarily dining indoors Upscale dining feel but can come casually dressed and its family friendly group outing and date night friendly - at some point the lights were dimmed for ambiance Full service bar and sports to watch Happy hour specials Sushi sashimi rolls entree appetizers Spicy garlic edamame gyoza and egg rolls Gyoza and eggs rolls were the favorite, freshly made no grease plenty of crunch, the edamame was undercooked for our liking and lack the spice as it tasted like more a sweet chili sauce The rolls we had was the rainbow hiro 88 sunshine aww what a mess and a few others for us to share came in a large boat Tasted better than expected where the rice was fluffy and not rock hard, seasoned well, good ratio filling to rice Drinks were all on point, not overly potent or underwhelming. Server was friendly helpful and assisted us with our request. Would recommend and return back to

I got take out here with a few friends and it was great! Everything was packaged well and easy to identify. The staff had the rolls ready on time and were very nice. I got the west coast roll and the spicy tuna roll and they were both delicious - the perfect ratio of fish to rice! Solid sushi for a decent price, hiro is always a good choice!

Hiro's Crunch Roll, Sweet Chili Crab, Asparagus Salmon

Yum! This restaurant is one of my favs since it has a little something for everyone. Their yins chicken is one of the best. For sushi, the Hiros crunch and the sweet chili crab are unskippable! Also a HUGE fan of their hot and sour food.

Grabbed lunch here with a friend. Great atmosphere and service! I'm not a fan of sushi so I opened for the Chicken Fried Rice. It was A LOT of food and very good.

Decided to try out this location and see if I like this one or the downtown more. The ambiance of the location is beautiful. Went here on a Saturday night and it wasn't as packed compared to the downtown location. So if you don't want to wait for a long time this location is the go to. We went for the reverse happy hour. A really good deal. The husker roll is my favorite. However, I like how the downtown location makes it than this location. The ratios are a lot better. This location put too much cream cheese and barely any steak in the roll. Still glad I got to try both locations. The west coast roll is also another favorite of mine. I will still go to the downtown location because it's closer to me and I like how they make their rolls there.

Always a great time! I love to go on Sundays for their all day happy hour. They have great deals for happy hour. They have a nice selection of gluten free sushi's. We always make a reservation, and the staff is very friendly. This place has a cool moody vibe that pairs well with the sushi

a bento box with a variety of food items

I went to Hiro with my sister for lunch with our two daughters after visiting Lauritzen Gardens. I typically always love hero and I don't really have not great food here but this time was an exception, unfortunately. I ended up ordering a three item Bento box With teriyaki beef, tempura, and a California roll to split with my daughter (also comes with a soup or salad and a side of rice). The Bento box is a fantastic bang for your buck for lunchtime. We arrived not too long after opening and there were already a decent amount of people in there. The problem was that they didn't have very many servers on the floor so our wait time was quite a bit and our food took a while as well. Our server was very kind, but not the most attentive because she had a lot of other tables. I love their teriyaki sauce and will stand by that it is the best in town, but even that couldn't help my over cooked and cold steak that was served to me in my Bento box. It was especially tough and was not a fantastic flavor. The sauce that they serve with the Tempura was also pretty flavorless. I remember having it and it having a little bit more punch. The other items in my box were good and I really enjoyed the salad with both dressings. I am wondering if it was an off day because usually things are fantastic? My last little qualm had to do with the high chair that we were given for my daughter. We asked for two high chairs as we had two toddlers with us. My daughter was the younger of the two by a year and we got a high chair that had the belt broken off of it. It did not make for a fantastic experience as she was trying to wiggle free for majority of the time. I should've just swapped out the high chairs with my niece but getting my daughter in the high chair to begin with wasn't very fun. Not really their fault I just wish we would've had one with a belt. I will most definitely return to Hiro again but maybe not order the same thing?

A classic sushi place! Today my sister and I tried three different rolls: HIRO Special, Columbia River, and West Coast. Our favorite was actually the Hiro special. But you can't go wrong with something topped with eel sauce. We also had the Raspberry Whisp and Classic Mojito for cocktails. Definitely get those! We went during happy hour. Definitely recommend! But their prices aren't terrible during regular hours as well. Fair warning, there are no kids meals/menus here, but if anyone orders the chicken fried rice, there is more than plenty to share with a kiddo. Nothing says Sunday like Sushi (plus happy hour)! My sister and I are trying all sushi restaurants in Omaha and this was our first one on the list! We split 3 rolls: Hiro Special, Colombian River, and the West Coast. We went during happy hour so the menu was limited but still good list of options! This place is great for adults who don't like sushi with some AMAZING entrees like teriyaki salmon, sesame chicken, and other staples! They do not have any kids menu or portions so not family friendly if you have little ones. Hiro has a great reverse happy hour (til 11pm) and as someone who eats late sometimes, this is super convenient for me. I had their bento box for lunch and I was really pleased with how much I got for the cost! I got seaweed salad, the California roll, salad, and teriyaki salmon. Really filling!

Love this place! They have a great happy hour deal- later than most which is great. I've tried several rolls and never been disappointed--the menu does a great job of describing the exact flavor and profile. Approachable menu, flavorful sauces, and a great drink list too. Prices are decent but I would recommend making a trip during happy hour for a great deals!

Went for happy hour, wasn't busy, waited 40 minutes for food, manager wanted to argue why it took so long, didn't have time to even eat.

When the food is this consistently good, the extra time in the car is absolutely worth it. My go-to order is the General Tso's chicken with fried rice and an extra order of crab rangoon. The chicken is always fresh, crispy, and coated in just the right amount of sauce. Nothing tastes like it sat under a heat lamp. Every meal has tasted like it was made to order. The staff is another reason I keep coming back. They're always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely appreciative of your business, which makes every visit a great experience. I've eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants around Omaha, and Dragon Wok has easily earned a spot in my top three. Our food favs are the peanut butter chicken (just trust), any fried rice, wonton soup, and pork egg rolls. But you will be happy with whatever you pick. Definitely try the lemonade with popping boba. Amazing! The place has plenty of room and is pretty much seat yourself. Love the tvs playing game shows while we waiting. Definitely give this place a try!

I loved the peppers, onions, and water chestnuts it came with too. It also came with choice of rice and choice of soup. I got the fried rice and hot and sour soup. Although it indicates spicy on the menu, I found it to be not spicy at all. (And I really like spice) In the future I will ask them to amp it up a few notches. My husband got the General Tsos pork with streamed rice and egg drop soup. He really enjoyed it. I love that they gave an American and Chinese menu. I will definitely be coming back to try a few things from the Chinese menu. Service from Abbey and Molly was fabulous. They were quick on the refills and picking up dishes. Very little crab flavor, and its texture was damn near close to ricotta cheese but they were DELISH! Anyone else save the corners for a little texture in their next dish? No? Just me? Yall, I am telling you... their Peanut Butter Chicken was PHENOMENAL, and definitely have some real peanut on board. MUCH appreciated that. Their breading to chicken was by far, near perfection. More protein than breading is always a win-win in my book... it was like little puffs of breading, versus cakey/battery. Comes with your choice of steamed or fried rice, egg drop soup or hot and sour soup. Their Hot and Sour was SO good, with just the right amount of tofu. Highly recommended either honestly. Now the Sesame Chicken? Dare say I should've gotten that dish? It too, was AMAZING. Especially with those warm green peppers, onion, rich brown sauce that has just the right amount of garlic that made me ask kindly, with doey eyes, for a second piece off my husbands plate. SO good! We brought home a good amount for left overs tomorrow; assuming they last till midnight... We must've gotten in at the right time, because she was BUSYYYY with maybe 3 of the 15 (I could be completely off!) tables. Staff didn't just stick to one table, they were definitely tag teaming and that was neat to watch them work so well. We got checked on a few times and they're attentive as heck! We will DEFINITELY be back to try some of that Garlic Chicken and Cashew Chicken, extra cashews.

Outstanding Dim Sum in Omaha!…read more New Golden Mountain in Aksarben absolutely delivers! Having enjoyed dim sum throughout the Detroit area and across the border in Windsor, Ontario, we have plenty of experience to compare it to, and this place holds its own. Everything we ordered hit the mark, but a few dishes are absolute must-orders. The roasted duck is incredible--shoutout to that crisp, crackly skin and incredibly tender meat with zero greasiness. Follow that up with their fried beef chow fun, which nails that smoky, elusive wok hei flavor with perfectly tossed noodles, tender beef, and bean sprouts. And I have to give a special mention to something unexpected: their rice. It sounds simple, but their side rice is just on another level entirely--fluffy, distinct grains with the exact right moisture that somehow manages to stand out on its own.
