It's the perfect stop for lunch or dinner during a shopping day! I often go to Ono's because of how convenient it's located within a shopping mall. I can get a bit of shopping done, run some errands, get some groceries, and then treat myself to sushi! Adding to that, there's also a Cineplex theatre right by Ono's sushi, so Ono's is always my spot to go to before heading to watch a movie. (Sushi, shopping, and a movie makes for the perfect day!) Throughout all of my years going to Ono's, I've always experienced great service and wonderful food. The restaurant offers a variety of Japanese cuisines. And whatever I'm craving, I can usually find it there. Whether it's a specific sushi roll, yakisoba, sashimi or ramen - Ono's has it ready. If you ever stop by Abbotsford in the Fraser Valley, I'd recommend stopping by Ono's sushi during your shopping trip or right before you hit the theatre. (And if you have kids, there's a playground right outside) Thanks Ono's Sushi for providing a great experience for all these years!

Sadly the sushi I ordered didn't match the staffs calibre. Each piece fell apart when grabbed and didn't taste as fresh as the price tag indicated. The fish tasted like it was on the cusp of expiry and in hindsight may have been a bad call to eat. Overall a mixed experience.

A decent sushi establishment in the middle of no where. The only reason I came here when I was on…read moremy vacation was because I was craving for sushi, HEAVILY. The restaurant wasn't that bad compared to the Vancouver places. It is Korean owned, and very similar to most corner sushi joints in Vancouver. This place seems to be busy with people from the local area and many people come in and our of the place. Me and my friends had very different sushi dishes. We each ordered a special roll and just shared with each other. I ordered the Sakura Blossom, my friend ordered the Philadelphia, and my other friend ordered the Alien roll. Each of them was different and very special. I am not surprised the the Sakura Blossom and the Philadelphia taste like similar rolls of a very popular place in Vancouver *COUGHSUSHIGARDENCOUGH*. The alien roll was the most weird roll of them all, as the chef placed a deep fried prawn head on top of the roll to depict it as an alien... The skin that was placed on the alien roll was charred and the taste of it was disgusting. They burnt it too much so it left a really weird taste in the mouth. The Sakura blossom was delicious, but the cream cheese was really not needed, just place a piece of cut fish it would have been tastier. The Philadelphia, typical cream cheese with the same fillings of a california roll, and topped off with different cuts of raw fish on the top. I can say this place is mediocre, but it is not 100% authentic Japanese. But it is the closest you can get when you want a sushi craving... :P

The main pro is that we didn't get food poisoning. The con is that I wouldn't have been surprised if we did. First, I will start with the pros. It's friendly, it's intimate, and they are well staffed. The presentation is gorgeous! I've been to so many places where the presentation feels slopped together. They have a pretty robust Korean menu, and some of the dishes that came out looked nice. Parking is pretty good, and it is in a cute area of town. The cons make me so sad. The sashimi that wasn't on rice was warm. Not room temp, but kind of warm if it wasn't in the ice bowl, and for some reason, the flavor wasn't there. It was like eating super mildly flavored everything, and it all sort of tasted the same. The tako had a bizarre consistency - gelly like, or like it was freezer burned and thawed a few times? Not like how octopus is normally. The rolls were fine - a tad rice heavy, which had a different flavor. Service was SLOW, and they were doing insane takeout. I would think any restaurant would not want to sacrifice dine in for takeout orders, but we were there waiting around way longer than we should have - for everything. For how many people were working, I was empty on tea for most of the dinner, and there is no liquor license yet (they said 3-4 months). Korean food is delicious, but does take a lot longer and that could have contributed to the glacial pace. Maybe given some more time they'll improve, but I kind of felt like they should know since it's location #2. I might be cajoled into trying Korean food here, but there are so many other sushi joints in the area that it just wouldn't be worth it for me.

Take out and going to restraints has gone up so much, I'm always a little surprised by the bill but not at all in a bad way this time.
