Wow! Highly recommend! Feels like a hidden gem, we were one of only two tables on Saturday night and I was blown away. Food was quick and delicious. Staff was super friendly and let us know they are opening up a new spot to be called Spice Kitchen, solely for takeout orders, in the downtown area. I felt well taken care of by the staff. Very relaxed environment and was able to enjoy my meal with my husband and hear each other in conversation. So much better than the competition around the corner Can't wait to come back and try more! Food was 11/10! If I could paint a picture, I felt like Remy in Ratatouille with all of the flavors bursting and swirling. This place is IT!!!

My wife and I were craving some tasty Indian cuisine and decided to try Himalayan Spice for the first time. We had an excellent meal and were blown away by the flavor of the dishes. Definitely a go to spot! We chose Samosa for our appetizer - 2 are included to the order and it comes with mint and tamarind chutney. These were hot and fresh and stuffed with delicious curried potatoes and peas. They were very good and had a spicy seasoning on top. For entrees we chose chicken masala and mushroom masala. The dishes are served in a large bowl and come with rice on the side. We also ordered some naan to scoop up all the incredible sauce. We both loved the mushroom dish and the spice level was perfect (medium hot). This was an all around good meal and service was great. This is a great casual lunch or dinner spot. The prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. We definitely had enough for leftovers. The medium hot was pretty spicy so definitely stick to mild if you can't handle the heat. We can't wait to go back and try some other dishes!

I'm finding a new love for Indian, Himalayan and Nepali Cuisine! Everything we had was delicious, seriously!! My favorite dish was the chef special chicken, packed full of flavor.... it took everything not to pick up the bowl and slurp what was left of the sauce! And my favorite appetizer, although they were all very delicious, was the Chicken C MoMo Dumplings!! Also they have a unique selection of different tandoori naan bread. My favorite was the truffle... But they were all delicious! I can't wait to come back and try more of this delicious menu! What we ordered: Chef's special chicken curry C MoMo - appetizer- chicken Gobi Manchurian - appetizer Paneer chili - appetizer Saag with paneer Tandoori shrimp Tandoori mixed- chicken tikka, chicken on the bone, shrimp, and salmon Sun-dried tomato and truffle naan I forgot the name of the cocktail but just think of it as a boozy iced chai tea! Amazing!!

Great tasting Indian food in the heart of Berkeley, Denver Met friends here for dinner here on a weeknight. There was not a wait, but after tasting the food there should have been! Please come visit or order takeout, I highly recommend it. The staff were really attentive and provided great service. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming and also has ample outdoor seating. The food itself is delicious. We ordered a few curry chicken dishes, a veggie dish, garlic naan and rice. Between the 4 of us we could not finish the portions they gave us, so really great value for the money. I would recommend coming to visit!

Such a great addition to the awesome restaurant line up on Tennyson St! I placed a lunch order for take out and went with the paneer makhni/makhani lunch special, which came with rice, naan, and a choice of soup or salad. The portion was not huge, with only about 5 pieces of paneer, but was relatively fair for the price ($9.99 + 10% off with a Yelp check-in!). The curry was probably the best makhani I have had in Denver so far... so incredibly creamy and delicious, with the perfect kick of spice! Himalayan Spice is in the process of getting its liquor license and is so excited to start serving some boozy drinks. The staff working when I picked up my order were all so friendly, welcoming, and passionate about creating a positive dining experience for guests. I also really liked looking at the nature pictures hanging on the walls while I waited!

I found all the food too spicy. The papadom was good, soup and mango lassi enjoyable. It was takeout.

Chicken Tikka Masala flavoring was awful. It tastes like tomato soup. Bland with no seasoning. My desire to return is 0%.

The Thali caught my eye as it's essentially a traditional platter with a variety of balanced small plates from rice to potatoes to dal soup and even dessert all on a single tray. I got it with Butter Chicken which was so good! Highly recommend as it was creamy, medium spicy, and very aromatic. I absolutely loved the street-style chaat! It's creamy, crunchy, cold, and loaded with flavors and textures. Such a satisfying bite and I almost couldn't stop until it was gone. I love that this Thali came with both rice & naan as I usually want both and can't decide lol! The rice was fluffy and aromatic from the cumin while the garlic naan was fresh, soft, and delicately brushed with garlic & parsley. I didn't care for the dal soup (bit too watery) or the jeera potatoes (bit undercooked) but the dessert was a nice way to end the meal. Their options included rice pudding and gulab jamun; I went with the "healthier" option lol. It was creamy, sweet, and cooled down my palate after the various dishes. The Lamb Biryani was another good try! The lamb chunks were tender and seasoned, the rice was aromatic, and it paired well with the onions and raita (yogurt sauce). This definitely satisfied my craving and I'm glad I stopped by before the long day I had ahead!

As I was quite…read moreimpressed with the quality of the food I had back then I had been looking forward to experiencing it again. This time I go to dine in. Since my adult daughter and I were going to be there for a little celebration I made the reservation through the restaurant's website requesting to be seated at a 4-person table. Unfortunately upon arrival the restaurant not only did not even check to see if they had us on the reservation list they also didn't allow us to sit at a 4-person table. The restaurant wasn't busy at all on a Monday night so they simply treated us like a "walk-in" guest. Mmm...what's the purpose of the reservation link on their website if they don't value it?? They took us to one of the smaller two-person tables. After sitting there for 5 minutes or so perusing the menu, we kindly asked one of the workers if we could move to the bar seating that overlooks the busy Broadway. This was the game changer. The elevated seats and the tabletop made the ambience feel more like a special occasion. Thank goodness...this was the only bummer part of our dinner. The rest, fortunately, went quite well! Food: It looks like another Indian/Nepali restaurant at first but in my personal experience, this one ranks the best or top tier for their authenticity. The below is directly copied/pasted from the electronic recipe of ours: -PANI-PURI (Vegan/DF) $8.00 -Ice Tea $3.00 -Masala Chai $4.00 -COCONUT CURRY WHITE FISH. (DF/GF)$20.00 (Medium heat) -KHATTI MITTHI BHINDI (VEGAN/ GF) $15.00 (Medium heat) -WHOLE WHEAT BREAD $3.00 Pani-puri came out after our two main dishes although Pana-Puri is more of an appetizer (lol). Tho two main dishes were cooked in a medium heat and yet they were extremely doable even for someone like me who is not much of a "heat" person. My daughter is not a big fan of naan bread so as she is way more versed in the very cuisine (she had just come back from India spending a month to be trained to be a yoga instructor with a certification) she suggested we get the thin wheat bread. This bread went efficiently well with our two mains. Both iced teas were a great accompaniment to our whole meal. And again, how authentic everything tasted and how meticulously everything was cooked and prepared, it was something we couldn't ask for better quality. A bit of a disappointment with the whole reservation situation and yet the quality of the food broke even at the end. Service was good to decent although it wasn't exceptional but our basic needs were met.

We always get Chicken Tikka Masala or Butter Chicken, veggie korma, garlic naan and raita. Tonight we added something new and ordered the coconut tomato soup. I loved it, my 7yo said it had "too much flavor" although she loves everything else we get. We've probably ordered from here 10-15x now and unfortunately whenever we order they are out of seekh kebabs which I've been dying to try. They are one of my favorite Indian foods and I can't seem to order them anywhere. From now on I think we'll make a point to try something different each time we get takeout because they have so many options. Both were full of flavor and quite plentiful. With so much variety, you really can't go wrong! All of that, some rice, nann bread and a bottle of wine made for an exceptional lunch before we headed out.
