Wow! Highly recommend! Feels like a hidden gem, we were one of only two tables on Saturday night and I was blown away. Food was quick and delicious. Staff was super friendly and let us know they are opening up a new spot to be called Spice Kitchen, solely for takeout orders, in the downtown area. I felt well taken care of by the staff. Very relaxed environment and was able to enjoy my meal with my husband and hear each other in conversation. So much better than the competition around the corner Can't wait to come back and try more! Food was 11/10! If I could paint a picture, I felt like Remy in Ratatouille with all of the flavors bursting and swirling. This place is IT!!!

My wife and I were craving some tasty Indian cuisine and decided to try Himalayan Spice for the first time. We had an excellent meal and were blown away by the flavor of the dishes. Definitely a go to spot! We chose Samosa for our appetizer - 2 are included to the order and it comes with mint and tamarind chutney. These were hot and fresh and stuffed with delicious curried potatoes and peas. They were very good and had a spicy seasoning on top. For entrees we chose chicken masala and mushroom masala. The dishes are served in a large bowl and come with rice on the side. We also ordered some naan to scoop up all the incredible sauce. We both loved the mushroom dish and the spice level was perfect (medium hot). This was an all around good meal and service was great. This is a great casual lunch or dinner spot. The prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. We definitely had enough for leftovers. The medium hot was pretty spicy so definitely stick to mild if you can't handle the heat. We can't wait to go back and try some other dishes!

Great tasting Indian food in the heart of Berkeley, Denver Met friends here for dinner here on a weeknight. There was not a wait, but after tasting the food there should have been! Please come visit or order takeout, I highly recommend it. The staff were really attentive and provided great service. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming and also has ample outdoor seating. The food itself is delicious. We ordered a few curry chicken dishes, a veggie dish, garlic naan and rice. Between the 4 of us we could not finish the portions they gave us, so really great value for the money. I would recommend coming to visit!

I'm finding a new love for Indian, Himalayan and Nepali Cuisine! Everything we had was delicious, seriously!! My favorite dish was the chef special chicken, packed full of flavor.... it took everything not to pick up the bowl and slurp what was left of the sauce! And my favorite appetizer, although they were all very delicious, was the Chicken C MoMo Dumplings!! Also they have a unique selection of different tandoori naan bread. My favorite was the truffle... But they were all delicious! I can't wait to come back and try more of this delicious menu! What we ordered: Chef's special chicken curry C MoMo - appetizer- chicken Gobi Manchurian - appetizer Paneer chili - appetizer Saag with paneer Tandoori shrimp Tandoori mixed- chicken tikka, chicken on the bone, shrimp, and salmon Sun-dried tomato and truffle naan I forgot the name of the cocktail but just think of it as a boozy iced chai tea! Amazing!!

Welcome to Tennyson street! We used to drive for our Indian food fix but now it's right in our neighborhood and walking distance. The menu is LARGE so there truly is something for everyone. Good size portions you could share or take home for great leftovers. We met the owners and they were so kind! Gave us some take out menus with coupons. We were hyped for this take out dinner -- 5 star Indian food near our house? Incredible! Unfortunately, this meal was really disappointing. All of the meats were bland -- from bland chicken, to super chewy goat and lamb, these meats were far from fall off the bone. The Rogan Josh just didn't look or taste right, it had sort of clumps in it. The chicken tikka Masala was the star, but even that was blander than average. I keep hunting for another denver Indian spot in the same tier as "Mehaks India Aroma" but haven't found it. I hate to give a negative rating to a cute local spot with friendly staff, but I do hope this restaurant can level up. read more

We just moved to the area and we were searching for our new spot to get indian curries. We tried a few places, but then fell in love with Himalayan Spice!! The curries are fantastic, the butter naan is incredible, and the samosas are fried perfectly. The staff is also incredibly friendly. We went in just to grab a take out order and they treated us like family. This is a newer business so give them a try! We need them to do well and stay! read more

This place is freaking amaze balls. Pulled in after a 16 hour drive, famished. We ordered naan, veggie pakoras, chicken tikka masala, chicken Madras, and chai. All if it incredible. Best Indian I've ever had. I had my leftovers for breakfast. Only took one pic because I was too hungry to bother with the others. read more

Wow, wow, wow. When you're craving Indian food, you must go here! Firstly, SO MANY vegetarian options (which I loved) and lots of options in general for whatever you're in the mood for. Loved the variety of spice levels too, 1-5 from mild to Indian hot. The food was excellent. The service was also top notch, the staff were very kind, attentive and friendly. This place is so amazing! My husband and I frequent it as we live in the area. Their mango chutney is to die for- also make great cocktails! I love their mojitos. We've also become addicted to their naan- we've stopped going to other establishments because their naan is that worth it. (We've ordered 6 flavors & all amazing!) we also love the service here- they go above and beyond and make us feel special. Quick, attentive, and friendly :) read more

This place is AWESOME! My wife and I cannot get enough of Himalayan Spice. We typically order take-out and the food is always ready for pickup in 15 minutes, right when they say it'll be ready. We're vegetarians so we usually get sweet potato, paneer, or garbanzos, but it's always incredible. Tikka masala, saag, korma, whatever! Can't recommend this place enough! read more

The people who own and run this restaurant, or from Nepal, and having spent three weeks in Nepal myself, I can tell you the food is wonderful and very authentic. There is a nice outdoor patio, and comfortable indoor seating for a group or a smaller party. Highly recommend this place! read more

I've eaten this food all over the world and I thought because they charge so much that it was just banging, but the quality of food for the price is crazy. I asked for extra rice, which I paid for I didn't get. I asked for two different types of non-which I didn't get and their best answer really didn't matter because I spent so much on it already and then to top it off. The chicken in my food wasn't good. It was all grizzly. I don't know how this place has such reviews, but I wouldn't recommend anyone to eat here. read more

Picked up Himalayan Spice last night for dinner. Staff was very friendly and welcoming! The restaurant smelled amazing when we got in and the food matched ! The naan was enormous and delicious. Best Indian food in Denver. Always super fresh, spicy and still flavorful. Never leave with a stomach ache, which can happen with some of the other places. My go to is mixed veggie korma with butter naan. Naan is super flaky and buttery. Highly recommend. read more

I just moved back to this area, and saw Himalayan Spice is relatively new and I knew I HAD to try it out! It lived up to the hype, I ordered a vegetarian lentil daal dish, and it was delicious! It wasn't as spicy as I had hoped for, but that's okay. The real gem of this location is their naan bread, its a HUGE portion size, and absolutely delicious. The staff was courteous and fast with my online order. Restaurant looked clean and although there weren't many people dining in, I could tell there were a good amount of to-go orders so the location looks popular! I'm looking for any excuse to go back, highly recommend! read more

Sigh. This place used to be great. In particular their saag. But something changed a few months ago. Not sure if the recipes changed or the chef changed, but their saag became very bland and dominated by the spinach (very bright green; not as savory). I asked for hot and got very mild (twice). The other dishes were similarly different--also seem skimpier on the protein. I left a note on their website form and never heard back so I'm left to deliver the message here: Whatever changed, it was for the worse. Gonna have to drive over to Denver Spice Room from now on. read more

The food was soooo good. Especially liked the daal soup, vegetable samosas, and vegetable korma. Great service, Friendly staff --our server said they are all from Nepal. They have outdoor seating, but there were lots of flies out there so I wouldn't recommend here for outdoor dining. read more

We stopped by on Monday for lunch. Parking was a bit tricky to find, but worth the effort. We got lunch specials, I got chicken Tika Masala and husband got chicken vindaloo. We both loved it. Came with a salad and a pudding, plus more naan than we could eat. read more

Stumbled upon here by chance after grabbing first lunch at the OG Quiznos. I was absolutely blown away by the portion sizes and quality. I ordered the chicken korma lunch combo which was only $12.99 but came with a generous portion of curry, rice, daal soup, and a complimentary naan. I'm usually not a huge fan of daal but really enjoyed this garlicky variant. The total combo was so large I struged with finishing it which is rare for me.. Probably one of the top 5 Indian meals in my life. Wow in Denver of all places. read more

The Thali caught my eye as it's essentially a traditional platter with a variety of balanced small plates from rice to potatoes to dal soup and even dessert all on a single tray. I got it with Butter Chicken which was so good! Highly recommend as it was creamy, medium spicy, and very aromatic. I absolutely loved the street-style chaat! It's creamy, crunchy, cold, and loaded with flavors and textures. Such a satisfying bite and I almost couldn't stop until it was gone. I love that this Thali came with both rice & naan as I usually want both and can't decide lol! The rice was fluffy and aromatic from the cumin while the garlic naan was fresh, soft, and delicately brushed with garlic & parsley.
