The noodles are actually like vermicelli. Really bad. The chicken manchurian is below average. Not worth money

Another terrific Yelp find. You'd never spot this restaurant, as it's in an obscure plaza that you can't see off El Camino. It's hard to stand out among all the Indian restaurants, but this one does. The prices are pretty good. 5 stars: Momos - Nepalese steamed chicken or vegetable dumplings. These were so good. They are like northern Chinese steamed dumplings, but with Indian flavorings inside. The dough tasted fresh and chewy. Chana masala - garbanzo beans with garlic, ginger, tomato, spices. This was the best I've tasted of this dish. Chai tea - mmm mmm good. High quality tea, sweetened just enough. 4 stars: Chicken curry - very good sauce, similar to the one in the chana masala. 3 stars: Himalayan lamb special - the sauce was good, but the lamb itself wasn't tender enough, it was a little dry. read more

We just had Lunch here and it was very good in taste. Unfortunately we couldn't try much variety but I would definitely like to try indo Chinese here... We ordered Momos,Hydrabadi biriyani and yellow dal (for my kid). Everything was so good... my kid also enjoyed it.. read more

Very tasty food. Small menu. I visited on a crowded night and sat near the kitchen where, as I result, I saw lots of poor hygiene practices. Things like the main server switching between serving food, operating the cash register, and picking up stuff off the floor without washing hands. I'm a tough guy so it didn't bother me much, but if you're a germophobe or a health inspector you're probably going to have a problem with it. read more

Have gotten take-out multiple times since my original review, and the food is always delicious. The chicken chilly is SO good...be careful about how spicy you order it, though, because they are serious about their spice level. the chicken tikka masala was also wonderful, the lamb curry- very tender and not gamey at all. I'm a fan of the Indian cuisine, my wife is not. This is a place I can go and grab good, inexpensive take out for me and drive and get her something she wants and we are both happy. I had 2 orders of Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Naan, and Samosa and Jasmine Rice all for about $20. Excellent in quality and taste and ready in 15-20 minutes and its about 5 minutes from the house. All in all a good go to place for me....what else could I ask for? read more

Constantly on the hunt for good chicken momo in the area, so decided to give this place a try. It's better than most of the other places I've tried, but still just ok. The filling itself is both a bit too salty/spicy and not very juicy. All in all a mediocre experience. Came here today for the lunch buffet. Service was fast and friendly. Food was decent not the best not the worst Indian. The biryani and manchurian chili chicken were good. Especially since they don't tame the spice it had just the right amount of spicy chili heat to the veggie biryani. Limited selection of buffet items to choose from compared to most Indian buffet places but price not bad just under $11 including tax for food and chai tea included. If you like spicy biryani it's worth just getting an order of that for take out in future. read more

I would give 5 star as I love this place and it's only and only because of their food quality , variety of buffet items and taste..visited more than 5 times recently and every time i find something new in their menu.. Weekends its really getting crowded and wait time of 30 -45 mins., but still it's worth waiting :) And talk about price... It's about $11 / person even on weekends in sunnyvale/mountain view location!!! I have hardly seen a combination like this... I had chicken tikka masala with 2 garlic nans. All nans came burnt in the back which is not healthy and not tasty. I don't know if all nans come as burnt here, but I never had burnt nan before in other Indian places. I feel the standard here is low as they would actually serve nan knowing that it is burnt. Portion of my chicken tikka masala was too little. Taste was okay, but bad compared to Chicken Tikka Masala from Satkar Indian Cuisine which is another restaurant 3 blocks away from this place. Just overall cannot find a reason why I should come back, simply because there are so many Indian foods options in the area that's just better. read more

This is a block away from where I live and is a surprise find when I just happened to pass through that area. Yelp rating and reviews made us try it out for lunch on a sunday and we were more than satisfied. Chicken chowmein is the best that I had in recent times that I can remember in the area. We tried Veggie fried rice which was quite flavorful. Last but not least -- Momos - loved them! My wife had them earlier back in India but its first time for me and I like them! Ambience: Its not a fancy restaurant. Its a small place - can probably hold about 25 to 30 people in total. Location: Its hidden behind Sleep train store on El Camino.Also, not many stores in this strip mall are in business either. So, its very easy to miss! read more

We enjoyed two excellent entrees - the lamb special and the chicken tika masala. While the venue does not provide a great first impression, the focus is truly about the fantastic food, flavorful and plentiful. Service was quick and the waiter friendly. Were are anxious to see what their new expanded restaurant will offer, but if the recipes are maintained, they will likely be successful. BTW, the restaurant is easy to overlook. This place has the best chicken chilli in the entire Bay Area that reminds of Nepal. No other places come close. Also their lunch buffet is amazing. However, they could work on improving the momo flavor a bit but overall its fresh and quality has been consistent. read more

It was all good when it first started, but now their quality has downgraded. Chicken chillie n chowmin tasted hella good in the beginning, but now their chicken chillie tastes like orange chicken and chowmin's chicken seemed like just boiled. read more

Although the flavors were exquisite, the presentation was lacking. I ordered to-go food for lunch. 1) plain naan and got garlic. 2) Rasam soup came with no texture what so ever and no sort of garnish. 3) samosa chat which came with a container full of plain chick peas topped with yogurt, onion and cilantro. Well I generally do not complain about food but this one pissed me off big time ,Me along with 3of my friends went here for dinner we ordered a plate of idli and a plate of dosa and hydrebad chicken dum biriyani,idli looked it was cooked much early and been heated in oven time and again when somebody ordered it and chicken sucked big time and tasted as if it's been in freezer for a long time. Upon talking to the hotel manager he confessed biriyani was cooked in the morning and he also offered small bowl of boneless vijayawada biriyani which was in fact fresh chicken. Supplying the order took more than 15mins and getting the bill took more time than that,I would say if you are a hardcore hydrebad biriyani fan do not ever step in here,it's just not worth the money. read more

Food was delicious but these guys need to improve on their service. We ordered Onion kulchas while eating our curries and we got regular Nans. We were told that since kitchen is closed and they couldn't make onion kulchas . So we accepted and started eating the Naans. Next moment another guy brings us Onion kulchas. We told him that they served us Naans and we were forced to eat Naans. Then he gave those kulchas to other customers who never ordered it ! Also later I heard them complaining that they have been charged for kulchas which they never ordered. Total chaos. read more

Based on previous reviews I went here to try chicken biryani. Its been long time since I had any biryani's. Ambience is okay. Compare to other restaurants it was below average. Service is not good. Most of the restaurants typically serve the food, here the biryani was given to me and I served it myself. :( Food here was good. Biryani was really nice. Although its not authentic but its a good taste. Biryani compared to my past experiences is medium spicy but it tastes good. Quantity was good and sufficient for one person. But all the chicken pieces were at the end of it which is not good. Typically birynai has uniformly distributed chicken pieces. Overall, for birynai, I think can come here again. Wanted to give it more stars but could not.. suggested by a friend...wanted to try it.. Food was..haann..ok not great or anything... Momos - just ok.. Noodles - fine Shrimp rice - was best of the lot Goat curry - sucked big time and please believe me it was stale and smelly..told him ..he replaced it with the same stuff..we just ignored it..and skipped the curry..
