Upon checkin on the app, I had the ability to choose my own room, so on the app, I chose an available room on one of the top floors. When my room came ready I noticed I was numerous floors lower than what I chose. When I asked I was told I was "upgraded" to a deluxe room. If this room was an upgrade I'd hate to see a normal room. I requested queen beds and the beds in this upgrade are full size as evidenced by the fact we can't comfortably sleep two people on one bed. The water pressure is so low in the shower that you have to basically stand against the wall to shower and it's made more difficult by a metal soap holder protruding from the wall where you need to stand to get the water. Further, there's only approximately three (3) tv channels...one sports, one news, and one random channel. The other two (pictures) and frozen and won't change. For Hilton brand, this hotel is kinda horrible. We won't be staying here anymore.

Very shocked at all the low ratings. Had me pretty scared to stay here. We were part of a cruise group that came in. There were only 7 of us that showed up at the hotel at once. The staff wasn't very friendly. Especially if we asked questions about our luggage. Norwegian didn't tell us anything, so we were completely lost at what was going on. So when the staff wasn't rude to us when we were asking questions we were taken back. I'm sure they were overwhelmed with the amount of people that were coming in. But all guests shouldn't be treated alike. We were very pleasant to them. Other than that, the hotel is pretty nice. They are in the middle of upgrades. So it is a bit of a mess in certain areas. One thing I was concerned about was stair access being blocked. I was on the second floor and wanted to take the stairs with all the incoming traffic and the elevators being busy. The first floor exit to the lobby was blocked and I had to go back up the stairs and take the elevator down. HUGE OSHA violation. The hotel seemed very clean, my room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. One downside is not all rooms have refrigerators. My mom is a diabetic and didn't have a refrigerator in her room for her insulin. But my room did.

Old fashioned, not a typical glass..

So disappointed. As a Hilton Honors customer I expected so much more. Was at this Hilton as part of an NCL pre-cruise tour package. NCL had booked multiple rooms. We were given wrong information by the desk clerk twice. He told us the NCL REP would be here at noon, when we came back at noon the same rep told us they had the keys to our room but the rep wouldn't be available until 4pm. At 4:30, the NCL rep made it clear the Hilton would not release keys to us that we had to go back to the desk for check in. Standing in line at check-in, it was obvious we were not the only ones affected by misinformation. The hotel is also under construction currently. This is a major inconvenience, although maybe necessary. While I would typically recommend a Hilton Hotel, this would be one I would not recommend. It is chaotic and appears the folks at the desk may not know what is actually going on. Tried to enjoy the hotel bar and restaurant, Bruins, but that wasn't to be. It was a mess. Order an Old fashioned m, the bartender said she rain out of glasses, smallest Old fashioned ever. Wont order one again. Come on Hilton, you are better than this.

Awful experience. I'm a repeat Hilton customer (Diamond Status) and could not access the room I reserved until well after the designated check in time. People were lying all over the floors and couches/chairs of the common areas, apparently in the same position I was. Not sure if it was poor management or lack of adequate staffing but this is unacceptable and I would recommend staying elsewhere. Angelina at the front desk was extremely rude and could not have cared less about the situation. She did not hide the fact that she seemed like she did not want to be there.

    Black mold in the shower.

For a cost of almost $500/night I expect a top quality hotel experience. This place is a joke. There was black mold in the shower. We had 2 towels and 1 washcloth in the bathroom. Apparently it is expected that you reuse your still damp towel from the evening for your morning shower and you're supposed to share one washcloth. Really?!? Got in around midnight and the person that checked me in said breakfast was included. It wasn't. The waiter was kind enough to ONLY charge us $40 for the buffet that you'd expect to find at any motel. The hotel is right next to the train station which is quite loud and runs all night long. Not so great when looking for good rest. The walls are paper thin. I got to listen to the neighbors early television program. Oh yay. When I asked for a one hour check out extension, the lady at the front desk was quite rude and I had to ask for a manager before she begrudgingly said okay. If you have a choice, choose somewhere else.

Surly employees and a really small, nasty room. The room was so small that we were unable to open our 2 suitcases. Steer far away from this hotel.

Great location, within walking distance of a lot of great attractions. 2 double beds was very spacious. Shower was great, no bathtub. Lotion, soap bar, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner provided. Pool is very cold but quite large. Hot tub was not working. Big fitness room. Elevators are very fast and they have 3 of them. Staff were always friendly.

Very disappointing experience. Definitely not up to the Hilton science that I'm used to. My room is very dated. It is clean and comfortable. Parking is atrocious. $25/day to park a block away and be told when I checked in that the lot was full and that I'd have to park on the street. They couldn't find my reservation - I mentioned that I checked in online. He didn't offer me a hard key - he stated that I could just use my digital key. Felt like I was putting him out asking for a hard key. The restaurant service was horrible at lunch today. I waited about five minutes before the executive chef saw me standing at the entrance and he sat me and said someone would be right with me. Took quite awhile to wave a server down and ask for a menu. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad and it was very good. The table next to me ordered a glass of Chardonnay and was asked "what flavor of wine would you like?"

As I walked through the lobby and in the elevators I was taken aback by how outdated this place was. This was especially apparent in the elevator with the gaudy faux gold hand rails and the smelly outdated carpet. It felt 1980's for sure! The room was average at best. I did have lunch and dinner at their restaurants and was very disappointed except for one (I will drop reviews on those restaurants). I love the history. But it's not enough for me to pay top dollar for an average hotel room. I will not be coming back.

We had a really long drive on 5/15/2026, and checked in around 6 pm and Eurina L, was pleasant and friendly, and made us feel welcome! While I had booked my room through a third- party company, she found our reservation and was able to change us from a king bed to two double beds. That's great customer service. She even asked us what floor we would like to be on. I think she could see how tired we were from driving, so she gave us a nice room on the1st floor which was very convenient - since we knew we would be coming and going from our truck to our room. She made a great choice.. we were close to our vehicle so we didn't have to walk far to unpack our vehicle. Our room was cozy with a heater and an air conditioner. The beds were comfortable and there was great water pressure for the shower. Thank you to Eurina for making our evening welcoming and enjoyable. A second shout out to Boyd, at breakfast. Boyd was busy giving all the patrons their requests. I only saw him at breakfast and he was working hard but he was still friendly and helpful. He actually cared you could tell, that we got exactly what we needed for breakfast. The fruit was great and the hot meal was tasty. Thank you to both Eurina and Boyd for the hospitality. We appreciate you!!

2026.01.19 UPDATED 1-star to a 2-star: So after staying…read morethere it got a little better. The woman on the night shift was apologetic for the phone issues (though it's a Millennium issue, as she doesn't have control over getting them fixed). She offered us 2-vouchers for breakfast and waived the resort fee (whatever that is for...this is not a resort even if you squint), so glad to not have to pay that. Hotel: it's a bit worn, hallway carpet is pretty worn; the hallway walls, it's obvious if you know where to look (hint the loose wallpaper bubbles) that there was originally wallpaper that was then painted over w/a high gloss paint to give it a face lift and a bit more life. There was a shuttle...it was just parked at the hotel. I would think they'd watch the incoming flights and try to bet at the airport particularity when they have late check-ins on the books. Oddly the rooms are numbered in the 1000's...for the 1st floor, it was confusing b/c we went into the elevator then realized there were only 3-floors; oh and if you have a room in the 1050-1060's...it'll be a walk...it's a loooong hotel, though there is a 2nd entrance that you can use to shorten the walk from the parking lot. Room: big and spacious, and on a positive note the bed is comfortable (not stiff like many hotels, even upper brands) and the pillows were soft, so we had a decent nights sleep. The bed 'could' use a heavier comforter being in Alaska (cold!), the one they had was move of an early autumn thickness. The rooms is kinda cold so keep the heat on 68-70 b/c there's a window A/C w/ no insulation or even a cover one it, and the only thing between the cold 10deg Alaskan air leaking is is a heavy curtain...fortunately the bed is a good 5' from the window. The sink faucet was very loose, like is this gonna leak loose. There also was a broken reading light on the headboard w/ wires somewhat exposed that could become an electrical hazard. The door had an undercut that allowed the hallway light in like it was a small spotlight b/c it's directly in line of the bed (for the sleeper on the left). Safety-wise that undercut is not good, if there was a fire in the room the smoke would get pulled into that hallway, and if a fire in the hallway then it'd get pulled into the room...not good, the doors should seal. Breakfast buffet: food was fine and fresh (the maple bacon was awesome)...it's a basic offering: scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles, breakfast potatoes, oatmeal, toast/muffins, juice and coffee is served in 16oz cups so plenty to drink; staff is friendly. 2026.01.11 Well...we booked a couple nights through Chase Travel Portal using points. We chose this as it is very close to the airport, rooms looked good and and a place to eat on-site, *AND* b/c we were coming in with on a red-eye and they state they have a 14hr airport shuttle. Yeaaaaa that's not true...and on top of that when calling to find out how/where to get it you just go to voicemail or the line is busy. So we got a Lyft instead. Son't stay here if you need a shuttle at 1am or need to call them in the wee hours for any reason.
