Eggs, bacon, sausages, biscuits and gravy, muffins, donuts...and this is only one of the stations at the free breakfast buffet.
    Rob P.

When I travel, all I need from a hotel is a place to lay my head at night. But, this Embassy Suites hotel is like a home away from home. There's a kitchen with a refrigerator and a microwave. There's a room separate from the bedroom where annoying people like me who want to stay up late can watch TV without bothering people while they sleep. It's actually better than a home away from home. If I want breakfast at home, I have to make it myself. Here, they have an amazing breakfast buffet, with everything you can imagine: crispy bacon, biscuits and gravy, bagels, cereal, fruit...there's even a station where cooks prepare omelets to your liking. The only downside is that there's so much good food that I'm certain to gain weight after this trip. And, it gets better. Every day from 5:30 to 7:00, you get 2 free drinks at the bar. No, I'm not intoxicated and imagining this is true. There's a small upcharge for premium liquor, but you get 2 large pints of excellent Alaskan beer or 2 mixed drinks on the house. This also applies in the Territory restaurant in the hotel (see my separate review). Does Embassy Suites make any money? In case there's not enough free food and drinks here, the hotel is also across the street from a supermarket and excellent liquor store. It's a busy road, so make sure you don't have those 2 free drinks before you try to cross. And, the folks here are friendly and happy to talk and share photos (one server visited Australia, which is a relatively inexpensive flight from here). And, they have my favorite policy regarding housekeeping: upon request only. Whenever I get a hotel, the first thing I do is put the Do Not Disturb sign up. They save me the trouble here. I've fallen in love with Alaska, and may want to live here some day. With such welcoming accommodations here, though, I might just decide to stay here.

Booked a one night stay to get ready and leave on a cruise. We got in on our flight around 7 pm and our room was ready and waiting for us. The hotel is very nice, has an Alaskan lodge type feel. The room was clean and well appointed. The morning breakfast spread features chef prepared made to order omelets and French toast! They also have pastries, fruit, oatmeal, cereals, yogurt, a hot buffet and beverage bar. There is a relaxing fountain in the lobby. The hotel remains pretty quiet despite being full. Definitely recommend.

Nice hotel in Anchorage that offers a GREAT breakfast and a really nice complimentary wine happy hour. We stayed here 2 separate nights... once right before our tour started and then in the middle when we transitioned from our Denali/northern area trip down to Seward. (We took the really early AM dome train to Seward so we had to stay the night in Anchorage one night again.) Both stays were really nice. No complaints. Service was really good and the folks working were professional, nice, helpful. The rooms are consistent across Embassy Suites locations which is great because you know what you are going to get and you get it. What was really helpful was that they have a coin operated laundry room. We made use of this and the machines worked great. The dryer only took 1 round to get my stuff dry. Usually it takes 2 so this was surprisingly nice not to have to feed the machine more quarters. Note... it's 2.75 for wash and 2.75 for dry. The front counter can help you with exchanging cash for quarters. It's also very convenient that they have a good on-site restaurant in case you are too tired to venture out to eat.

Embassy suites is always a delight to stay at and this location is no exception!! The rooms were spacious and had blackout curtains that were truly some of the best blackout curtains I've ever seen/used! This would be a huge dealbreaker for me during some of the seasons in Alaska. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the microwave had plenty of space for leftovers. Embassy suites typically does a happy hour from 5:30-7:30 and they did host it here, as well as breakfast in the mornings. The made to order dinner was fabulous and did offer a room service option. The windows in the front lobby were large to truly capture the beauty of Alaska!

I really enjoyed my stay here!! Good location, the suite was spacious, the made to order breakfast was one of the best free hotel breakfasts I've had, the pool and hot tub were one of the buffet ones I've seen and and my room was quiet! The only downside was my Mountain View room was a Mountain View but had a tall building in the middle of the view I highly recommend this hotel though!

We decided to stay at embassy suites because they're usually the same when it comes to their hotels. The location isn't great but it's not like it's too hard or far to drive anywhere in town. There's a few restaurants and grocery stores in the area. The elevators all have hand sanitizer inside. They also DO NOT clean your room each day but will quickly bring up anything you need in your room such as toilet paper, coffee, towels, etc. They still had a hot breakfast but there is no self serve. Everything you want(even cereal or fruit) has to be given to you by someone working in the kitchen. It did cause longer lines but at least there's any hot breakfast at this point in time. The happy hour has been halted but they still offer you wine or beer for purchase, which we skipped. As for the gym they only allow 3 people at a time and you must sign in at the front desk and they will let you inside. There was usually no one inside anyway. The room was descent, it was kinda small but there was plenty of room for suitcases and clothes. Aside from no happy hour, I can't complain too much.

Awesome hotel, awesome breakfast offerings and just all around great! It's across the street from 2 grocery stores and a Walgreens. I stay here very frequently, and my room is always ready and spotlessly clean. A very special shout out to Kone at the front desk - she always has a warm smile and offers an even warmer welcome. It's not often that you look forward to seeing a hotel front desk person, but I always look forward to seeing Kone!

Here in Anchorage the Embassy Suites is distinctly a cut above the average Embassy Suites. We're Diamond so we stay at a lot of Hilton family properties... Most recently at the Anchorage Hilton. Here at the ES Anchorage the property is expansive. Not the usual with the huge atrium but nicely appointed dining area, library will Billard table and spacious rooms. It's about 75% bigger than the smaller ES suites. I have to highlight the cook in the breakfast area: a cheerful Chinese lady who is named Cheruy or something that. Our omlettes were sizable and cooked right... She makes 3 kinds of pancakes.... Plus custom requests were cheerfully handled with efficiency and expert cooking. Wow! Oh well... 5 stars applies here!

The food was outstanding--delicious, fresh, and consistently impressive throughout our stay. And the valet service? Exceptional!! Seamless, efficient, and always delivered with a smile. This has officially become our NEW favorite place to stay when we're in Anchorage. We're already looking forward to our next visit. Highly, highly recommend! Rooms We had a room on the 16th floor... the views were mindblowing.. the room so comfortable absolute perfection. Nearby activities Centrally located, we were there for medical reasons and just 5 min. from the Drs. offices. As I walked through the lobby and in the elevators I was taken aback by how outdated this place was. This was especially apparent in the elevator with the gaudy faux gold hand rails and the smelly outdated carpet. It felt 1980's for sure! The room was average at best. I did have lunch and dinner at their restaurants and was very disappointed except for one (I will drop reviews on those restaurants). I love the history. But it's not enough for me to pay top dollar for an average hotel room. I will not be coming back.

We had a really long drive on 5/15/2026, and checked in around 6 pm and Eurina L, was pleasant and friendly, and made us feel welcome! While I had booked my room through a third- party company, she found our reservation and was able to change us from a king bed to two double beds. That's great customer service. She even asked us what floor we would like to be on. I think she could see how tired we were from driving, so she gave us a nice room on the1st floor which was very convenient - since we knew we would be coming and going from our truck to our room. She made a great choice.. we were close to our vehicle so we didn't have to walk far to unpack our vehicle. Our room was cozy with a heater and an air conditioner. The beds were comfortable and there was great water pressure for the shower. Thank you to Eurina for making our evening welcoming and enjoyable. A second shout out to Boyd, at breakfast. Boyd was busy giving all the patrons their requests. I only saw him at breakfast and he was working hard but he was still friendly and helpful. He actually cared you could tell, that we got exactly what we needed for breakfast. The fruit was great and the hot meal was tasty. Thank you to both Eurina and Boyd for the hospitality. We appreciate you!!

2026.01.19 UPDATED 1-star to a 2-star: So after staying…read morethere it got a little better. The woman on the night shift was apologetic for the phone issues (though it's a Millennium issue, as she doesn't have control over getting them fixed). She offered us 2-vouchers for breakfast and waived the resort fee (whatever that is for...this is not a resort even if you squint), so glad to not have to pay that. Hotel: it's a bit worn, hallway carpet is pretty worn; the hallway walls, it's obvious if you know where to look (hint the loose wallpaper bubbles) that there was originally wallpaper that was then painted over w/a high gloss paint to give it a face lift and a bit more life. There was a shuttle...it was just parked at the hotel. I would think they'd watch the incoming flights and try to bet at the airport particularity when they have late check-ins on the books. Oddly the rooms are numbered in the 1000's...for the 1st floor, it was confusing b/c we went into the elevator then realized there were only 3-floors; oh and if you have a room in the 1050-1060's...it'll be a walk...it's a loooong hotel, though there is a 2nd entrance that you can use to shorten the walk from the parking lot. Room: big and spacious, and on a positive note the bed is comfortable (not stiff like many hotels, even upper brands) and the pillows were soft, so we had a decent nights sleep. The bed 'could' use a heavier comforter being in Alaska (cold!), the one they had was move of an early autumn thickness. The rooms is kinda cold so keep the heat on 68-70 b/c there's a window A/C w/ no insulation or even a cover one it, and the only thing between the cold 10deg Alaskan air leaking is is a heavy curtain...fortunately the bed is a good 5' from the window. The sink faucet was very loose, like is this gonna leak loose. There also was a broken reading light on the headboard w/ wires somewhat exposed that could become an electrical hazard. The door had an undercut that allowed the hallway light in like it was a small spotlight b/c it's directly in line of the bed (for the sleeper on the left). Safety-wise that undercut is not good, if there was a fire in the room the smoke would get pulled into that hallway, and if a fire in the hallway then it'd get pulled into the room...not good, the doors should seal. Breakfast buffet: food was fine and fresh (the maple bacon was awesome)...it's a basic offering: scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles, breakfast potatoes, oatmeal, toast/muffins, juice and coffee is served in 16oz cups so plenty to drink; staff is friendly. 2026.01.11 Well...we booked a couple nights through Chase Travel Portal using points. We chose this as it is very close to the airport, rooms looked good and and a place to eat on-site, *AND* b/c we were coming in with on a red-eye and they state they have a 14hr airport shuttle. Yeaaaaa that's not true...and on top of that when calling to find out how/where to get it you just go to voicemail or the line is busy. So we got a Lyft instead. Son't stay here if you need a shuttle at 1am or need to call them in the wee hours for any reason.
