I went to Petco and asked if I could buy a goldfish and explained that I needed to "catch" it myself and asked if I could scoop it out of the tank. I told them I would pay for the fish and then give it right back so they could put it back in the tank. The manager who helped me was very willing to let me do that and video it as well. They didn't charge me anything and set up a separate container with water so I could catch the fish and put it right back in the water in the other container. Very, very nice people who didn't need to help me but did so very graciously!

Special shoutout to the smarmy manager who, previous to our conversation, I heard mocking a man who just had to return something because his cat died, and the "manager" was laughing about it with fellow employees. Real class, dude. The basic gist is we paid for our large breed dog grooming, and when they brought him out, we immediately noticed they hadn't trimmed his ears and knots were hanging off (hack-job?) Then I looked inside, and they hadn't even cleaned his ears (which they had proudly checked off on his discharge papers). His back end also looked uneven, like they hadn't finished brushing him when they tried to trim him? His feet were neatly done. We showed the gal who brought him out, and she seemed to agree, but offered no apology and said we'd have to wait another 35 minutes for someone to come back from lunch (though it would've taken her 5 minutes, tops, right then). Fast forward post-lunch, and rather than apologizing, she tried to gaslight us by saying, "well, you didn't ask for us to do his ears," and I'm like, "you literally checked it off as done." More shenanigans, and the smarmy manager who'd been watching us waiting approached during lunch and also tried to mansplain dog grooming to us. "Well, you have to tell us what you want done," and I'm thinking, do I have to tell McDonald's how to make a hamburger?! You all do grooming as a business, and there should be a standard of training that people go through before working on animals and a set list of things they do. We weren't even asking for a refund or trying to remove the tip. But a "my bad" would've gone a long way. And a "let me fix my mistake real quick" would've gone further. But no accountability and a crappy manager who wouldn't leave it alone and walk away when we were done talking about it means we will NEVER go back or give this company any money. So, now you've been warned. If you choose to go there, be sure to have a full checklist including "wash dog with shampoo" and "brush all 4 of his legs" and then go over the list with a red Sharpie before you pay.

For the umpteenth tome I've had to fill out the same paperwork and asked if she had her vacancies. Mind you she goes on a regular basis, like don't you guys keep records? I've been to several groomers in the area and never had to do this at every appointment. Cookie was chewing at her leash the last time she was there she chewed through her leather leash, she never does this when she goes to Dr. Santo's. This is very telling that something is not right with their groomers, because she's never behaved this way at the others. I would not take your fur babies there. They definitely need serious improvement there, before a pet is hurt.

I stated that I used purified water for my tanks and a conditioner was not necessary. I left without purchasing anything. I also did attempt to contact corporate to ask about store policies and they were no help either. I drove 45 minutes specifically to find Stella & Chewy's stew, which is the only brand my dogs eat. I was actually really excited at first the store is big and has a great selection. However, almost immediately after walking in, I got the feeling that we were being watched. At first I tried to ignore it, but it quickly became obvious that multiple employees were following us around, pretending to stock shelves while staying close to us the entire time. I've worked in asset protection before, so I can recognize that kind of behavior. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable and anxious, especially since I already deal with social anxiety. At one point I even told my mom I wanted to leave because it felt like they thought we were stealing, but we stayed since we didn't drive that far for nothing. When we finally checked out and were leaving, several employees stood near the entrance just staring at us, which made the situation even worse. I've never felt so judged and unwelcome in a store before. What should have been a positive first visit turned into a stressful and upsetting experience. I won't be coming back and will just continue purchasing elsewhere.

I got 12 cans of canned cat food, got over to the freezer section to get the shrimp and another employee came up and told me to give him my backpack and he would take it up front... again I said no so he told me to take it up there myself. I set the basket down on the floor and headed towards the door. On my way there I asked him if he was going to tell the lady with her purse hanging off of her shoulder so she could easily put whatever she wanted into it if she would put her purse under the counter... how bout that lady over there? And that lady and that lady???? No, he wasn't! But me, a 65 year old man riding a bike and needs the backpack to put his purchase in needs to just let it sit by a counter. I would literally have to take that pack off of my back,set it down on the floor, unzip the mf... zip it back up and put it back on my back if I wanted to steal something. But a lady with a purse hanging next to her hip and could easily drop anything into it is ok????? Make that make sense! The hell with that store! Stuff is cheaper on chewy.com anyway!
