I do not know what has happened, but lately when you use there automated refill system, it has gone from a 1/2 a day to 2 to 3 days to get a refill. Very rude staff member but what was worse was the pharmacist. I asked to speak to the pharmacist. A man got on the phone and I asked twice for his name. He said I don't have to give you my name, all you need to know is I'm the pharmacist. I went on and asked to get the smaller pill of midodrine. They keep giving me a mix bottle of big and medium pills. It's hard to swallow even when breaking them. He told me I should be happy I even got them. This pills prevent me from having a stroke. After 8 years of their b.s. I pulled 10 prescriptions. This is definitely not the first time with the rudeness or not giving me correct amount of medication. Amazing local pharmacy that works closely with your doctor in getting medications covered by your insurance if needed. I have used their drive-thru multiple times when I have my dog, young children, or grandparents with me. They even give out nice dog treats! I like that they open at 8am so I can go there before work and that they have an app or phone in service for prescription refills. They have even synced my parents meds to be picked up at the same time to save trips to pharmacy with text reminders when they are ready. They take most insurance plans and have competitive cash pricing too! read more

I called today, phone rang and rang. No answer. Called back later, it rang and rang and finally Casey picked up. I explained that I was new in town, looking for a new pharmacy, then asked my question about a long-standing prescription I'd potentially want to start filling with them. Casey was rushed, and seemed hurried. After I received the answer to my question, and then went on to share the reason for my inquiry and told her, in a very chipper and grateful voice, that I thought the description of the medicine on hand, although I never heard of the manufacturer sounded good, and that was helpful to me. Then she replied, "uh, okay" and when I thanked her for her time, she rushed off the phone rudely and hung up. This pharmacy clearly doesn't care to build rapport with prospective customers, as they must have enough business to keep them busy, and allow for them to be short with people over the phone. They could have earned my business today, but I think I'll go to Fred Meyer or Walgreens (both of those reps gave me better service today). Because they have trouble picking up the phone, I also don't feel confident that my needs would be met for service in the future, if I ever needed something. read more

I have been using Hilltop for a few years now and have never had the experience I just had with a prescription. I went to ER at the hospital for what I thought was a UTI, the ER doctor ran labs and ordered antibiotics for me. Since it was Sunday evening I was given on antibiotic pill and instructed to pick up my meds in the morning at my designated pharmacy, which is Hilltop. Well when I finally decided to call them after 10a I was told yes the prescription was there but it would be later in the afternoon before they would be ready. That I would be called when they were ready. I received a call at 1:50p (robot). I called to speak to the manager of the pharmacy about policy in handling emergent prescriptions, and I was told "making the assumption that they would be ready in the morning was wrong, because they had cancer, car accident prescriptions that had to be filled. I will no longer use Hilltop and after reading the other reviews it sounds like a good move for me and my family. read more

I have been using Hilltop Pharmacy for at least two decades. I like the location and sometimes I even ride my bike over. I also prefer not having to go into a grocery store or a box store to pick up my prescriptions. The staff at Hilltop are always super friendly even when they are really busy. The Pharmacist, Kevin Bingham, with go out of his way to come out from the back to help me find something or answer any questions I might have. I consider HIlltop Pharmacy to be a valuable asset to the Mount Vernon Hill community, and the service they are providing is greatly appreciated. Thank you for a job well done! read more

They are not Senior, Handicap friendly. They stopped delivery service even though a $3.00 per prescription fee was charged. They stopped Saturday service. They didn't provide a rest room for disabled customers resulting in a fecal accident on the drive to the nearest restroom. They delayed informing customers about coverage when insurance plans changed. read more

My preference is to support Small To Medium Businesses, but when that business does not deliver with a consistent pattern over time, then I have to find other options. This is the case with Hilltop. Six times I have come here to fulfill the prescription and all six times: The Prescription was not ready as specified. The Pharmacy did not communicate there delay. I wait a minimum of 25 minutes to see if they can correct the situation but have to leave. Ask for them to call me when its complete, but the call never comes. Try to call them and that takes forever. Average trips to get a prescription done is four trips. I am done with the incompetent lack luster results, time wasting, no integrity to do as they promise, miss expectations. They are all very nice people, so its sad I have to share this customer experience that is based upon a pattern over time of consistent poor execution of their business model. read more

Used to be huge fan of this business. I have been going here for seven years now and up until around a year ago they began to be very difficult when I came to refilling prescription or even getting the slightest bit of a logical answer as to why they were doing the things that they were. It's so crazy that a company I thought so highly of would in a matter of six months push my rating of them from a four or five to a zero if I could. The pharmacists can come off as rude as well demonstrating this god complex that seems to make me feel inferior and less than when trying to get answers or clarification. I have only been with this pharmacy for 3-4 months. Most of the girls in there are very nice. However, one female pharmacist is not so pleasant. I am not a difficult person and understand that they are busy as I am a nurse. This female pharmacy needs an attitude adjustment. The female pharmacy tech told me "THIS IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM" when I asked them to call the medication manufacturer after they did not receive my medication (this is after I had previously called the manufacturer trying to solve the problem x3 because the pharmacy was just too busy to call the manufacturer due to giving COVID vaccines. I wish I could say better things about this pharmacy as the owner is the most sweetest and kindest person ever. :( read more

Don't try to fill a prescription the same day you want to pick it up. This place slow and unhelpful then still will mess up your order. A simple boxed item that needs no counting or anything will take them hours even if your waiting. There job can literally be replaced by a vending machine and they are not capable as a business to accomplish this. I put no blame on a the individuals that work there but on the business and the management. I switched to online pharmacy solely because of hilltop and there unwilliness to serve there customers. read more

I am a big fan of local business vs. the big chains... but I am finished with Hilltop. The last 3 times I went there, I had to wait a long time for my prescription even though it was called in hours before. The most recent visit it was actually called in the day prior, and still wasnt ready. Is it just me, or am I wrong to assume that when you visit a doctor and get prescribed medicine, you might want it soon, maybe even that day since you are sick or something... The staff is nice and all, but they seem really busy and overworked. read more

We switched to Hilltop Pharmacy when we became dissatisfied with our previous pharmacy and what a good choice it has proven to be. Started going there because of the drive through ease, but have never had worse service. Many orders messed up, delays and flat out, uninterested, unfriendly staff. Seems to be run by a family that doesn't care about their customers. Would never go back. read more

Great staff however it is completely geared to small town service. I brought in a prescription and after sitting and waiting over 15 minutes was told to take my prescription someplace else because they won't make enough money from me! This is not how it should work so I just went someplace else and got it filled with no out of pocket expense. read more

I switched from a big name, national brand pharmacy, that advertised lowest prices and found Hilltop to be about 65% of what I paid before for my prescription. Their service is wonderful and the drive-up window is convenient. My Mom switched lately too, from that same national Rx, she had their member pricing and everything!
