Closed early on Christmas Eve. Don't tell people you close at 6 if you stop allowing people in the front door at 545pm. Waisted my time driving there after calling to check. Smug disrespectful guy at the front door identifying himself as Nick the manager. Well Nick here's your bad review as promised.

I love shopping at Freddie. Especially, I am a Freddie card member and I get to collect points for cheap gas. This is not my usual Freddie. But milk is on sale and just need to stalk up. So dropped by here. I like how this location is very good on its stock. Especially for on sale item. Also, this location is not crazy busy. Isle are spaciously wide. Staff are friendly and helpful. Best of all this is in Burlington and that means they don't charge for shopping paper bags.

Fred Myer is great in Burlington, WA. Offers so much you can't get in nearby towns at a decent price, let alone in Friday Harbor..

The layout is like no other Freddy's, and it took some getting used to as it was pretty much the opposite of any other Fred's I'd ever been to.

Don't take your children there!!!…read more While looking at fishing poles and reels to buy myself for veterans day, my two daughter's were walking around excited to look at the new store I'd never taken them to before. They had walked upstairs thinking it was apart of the stores selection, upon seeing it was full of boxes they walked down and came back to look at the knives near the reels I was looking at. A man that worked at the store ended up approaching them soon after, asking them if they had gone upstairs. They answered yes and explained they hadn't seen the signage stating employees only until they came back down as it was poorly placed against the wall near the stairs and barely visable. He then insinuated they stole and made a show of saying he would check the cameras. Once I stepped in and said my children aren't thieves he then double down and said that they had cameras. I left infuriated leaving behind a 200 dollar purchase with a bad taste in my mouth, safe to say I will not be going back.

I am just starting my fishing journey and was going to have one of my experienced friends join me on a little shopping spree. We are still going to do that shopping trip but I wanted to get a head start. My goal was to go in and buy a tackle box. Each person I saw smiled and waved. One of the sales associates noticed my perplexed look on my face when looking for tackle boxes and asked me if he could help. I explained I am new to fishing and I am starting with trout fishing. This gentleman immediately gave some tips on tackle boxes and walked me through some gear ideas. He had me hold a rod and was showing me how strong it was if I had a fish on there. He was really patient with my questions and when another customer saw him, that customer was like "you sold me my first fishing license years ago" (I think he says 20 years ago to be exact). This associate name is Glen and let me tell you, find Glen because he will take care of you. I ended up purchasing a tackle box, a rod and reel. When I went to check out, the cashier was friendly and reminded me to take my receipt in case I needed to return something (thanks for looking out for me). Finally, when I went to get my fishing license, the associate lady (her name escapes me at the moment) was super friendly and after we talked about my journey into trout fishing, she showed me some good stuff that she uses and I bought that too. I would say, the employees that I encountered loved what they do and gave exceptional advice. Whether you're new to fishing or experienced, this is the place to go. I can't wait to come back as a I continue to grow my supplies. Thanks for the great experience!!

However, there was a very dark side at this store. Which is why it is difficult to write this. Skagit coin from the inside looks to be 75% jewelry and gems and 25% coin. I arrived there interested in coins I had over a decade of experience with. My specialty is not grading coins specifically, but finding coins which show signs of artificial toning, cleaning or being tampered with. During my first visit I had noticed something that was off; there was a large percentage of raw coins being sold at Mint State prices while still showing clear signs of being cleaned/tampered with. I pointed out a single one to the owner. She was nice about it and removed it from the case. However then I noticed it another and another. My grading abilities were questioned, kindly. I pointed out the areas and it seemed that was that. I decided that day to stick mainly with toned coins. However what struck me as off was that all the toners I had purchased contained the same type of toning. For those of you new to this hobby - identical toning is not normal. On top of that the color spectrum was not normal either. There ARE loads of times where I will see legit tones for the first time so I figured this could be a circumstance such as that. On top of that the owner insisted her son had loads of experience grading raw coins and was near professional doing so. So I made the biggest mistake I could at the time, trusted her and paid. I submitted the toners to be slabbed and relatively soon after, maybe a few weeks later, received word that I had wasted $25 on each of them and that they were artificial toning. I was right. The coins were wrong. Skagit Coin and the owner there was very understanding and was willing to offer me store credit or refund for what I paid for the coins once I surrendered the artificial toning/cleaned slabs. They did follow through with that as well. I decided to exchange them for mint state instead. However this is where the plot unfortunately thickens even more. A mint state coin I had taken home was clearly tampered with. To the point where you only needed a good light to see it with an unaided eye. I returned once again for the owner to once again be understanding and offer a store credit, this time saying something along the lines of 'lets not make this a routine.' When the owner inspected the coin that had obvious signs of cleaning she went on to remind me that her son was very good at grading and even close to professional. This made me feel as though I was being accused of taking the coin home and cleaning it myself! Wasn't the case. Have never done so in my life. Knowing there were many others in her case marked as MS that were cleaned as well - I offered to point them out to her one by one. I am talking coins with obvious marks. Some you don't need a lens for. Her response was: "No. Just cover your credit. Don't point them out for me." I was quite surprised. However I did what I was told. Found a non-cleaned coin as fast as I could and realized I probably would not be returning. These are nice people. Understanding people to a point. However in the world of coins - you're either selling actual MS coins with honest intentions or you're not. I really wish that I could have better things to say. After losing this place, I now have to travel well over an hour for a good LCS. Especially after this place takes the obvious L.
