I'm a disabled person and I just want to say thank you to the young lady who helped me understand how to split payments so it's easier to get through self checkout. I know it sounds simple, but she went out of her way to help me understand how it works so that I could better accommodate. I have been using it wrong for months. People like that deserve recognition. I will be sending another review, but thank you. Also, I'm not sure what all the bad reviews are about, this place is not that terrible compared to the ones I've been to down south. Only thing that might be wrong and different with this place is that they lock all the camping gear up, but they probably have to do that since we are in Washington State and people camp often. I've literally never had a more anger inducing interaction. I couldn't find any workers, shouted out hello multiple times, and nothing. Finally, by God's miracle, I was able to find someone. I walked up to her and asked if she can help me, she looked at me confused, and said "depends what you need." I said a product I wanted looked like it had been tampered with and I want to see if there's a way you guys could get me a new one. She sat there and stared at me with her mouth open like it's her first day on Earth and she's never heard anyone speak english before. And no this isn't a racist thing she was white so am I. Solid experience here. It is in the middle of nowhere but was sorta busy. Perhaps it was people getting ready for a long labor day weekend that there was quite a few people here on a Saturday morning at 10am. What was really nice was just how clean and spacious it was. There was a lot of space to maneuver, and lots of choices. Nothing particularly different or unique or anything that was regional here in its offerings. Came here for some beer, poultry, cheese, and other smaller items. Other than that. It was a pretty standard super center. Let's be honest: times are tough economically. And while I try to support locally-owned businesses as often as I can, when it comes to meeting my basic grocery and household needs, it's hard to go wrong with a Walmart Supercenter. They pretty much have everything here, which is good AND bad, because it can be easy to overspend if you're just wandering through. I mostly shop here via the fantastic Walmart app, where I order my groceries (or whatever else I need) to be delivered - almost always within two hours or less! The app even has meal planning and recipe tools, and (since I use it a couple of times a month) can also suggest meal ideas based on what it thinks I already have. This cuts down HUGELY on food waste and on grocery expenses. I really like this tool! As for the store itself, it's always clean and well-stocked. The employees are also incredibly helpful when I can't find something. I love that they recently quadrupled their beer section, including adding a ginormous new cooler so they now carry chilled versions of specialty craft beers. Previously, only the "big name national brands" were chilled. If you were craving a six-pack of Bodhi, you had to either go elsewhere or allow a few hours for it to sit in the fridge when you got home. Finally, a big shoutout to their oil change staff. I've been getting my oil changed here for a few years now, and they are always super friendly and helpful. Their oil change prices are about half what I've seen at other oil change operations, and they offer everything from the cheapie options to super premium/synthetic/high mileage name brands. What a terrible experience. Was in the area and needed to buy a Coleman camp stove. I found the stoves in a locked cabinet with two prices for the same stove. I asked one employee if she could help me but she said "No, it's not my department." Zero offer to call someone for me, just walked away. Finally found another rude lady who reluctantly opened the cabinet for me and checked the price. I took the stove due to convenience but from now on it's Amazon! And she had to carry the stove directly to her register and charge me immediately. Would not trust me due to theft. So, let's treat everyone like a criminal. Great business model. I've been to this Walmart 2x this week. My friend and I noticed the first time that the peaches were moldy. We let a cashier know and she told us she didn't want to hear about it because it grossed her out. When we checked out we realized that the tomatoes we'd bought had mold on them too. We quickly ran back in and returned them. I came back today and checked the peaches again and I found even more moldy peaches. This is disgusting and I cannot believe that Walmart is allowing this. I understand that produce gets moldy but they need to figure this out before people start getting sick. read more

Walmart is Walmart but this is seems to be one of the worst ones. We had a Walmart employee doing personal shopping hit us with their large metal cart while our 4 year old was in our cart and then preceded to tell us she did not hit our cart and refused to call her supervisor or tell us the supervisors name. It was a very strange experience and it really pissed me off to see the blatant disrespect and disregard for safety. Overall, the employees seem to hate their job/bosses or both I'm not sure. Today I went to pick up a few items mainly for my daughter. One of which was Kraft String Cheese 24 pack. Didn't think to check the best by date only because this is a big company and they have people who are supposed to do that. Got home, put it in the fridge, and went on about my evening. When my daughter wanted one for a snack a little while later, I went to go open it and noticed it was a brownish color. Then I looked at the date. Kid you not it said 10/9/23. It's almost February. Totally bringing it back. Beware and check dates before you put things in your cart and go home. Even though it's not your job to do so. read more

Haven't been inside this one but the whole outside of building seems almost new, everything nice and clean and bright. I had a situation where my one hour photos were lost and No one could find them for a week and my online order was delayed. The photos were for a very important event and when I called the calls kept getting dropped, I walked in and didn't get anywhere until I talked to one of the managers named Brenda. She was an angel. She understood how badly I needed these photos and looked all over until she found them. She took care of everything, she called me back, followed through was apologetic and was a total godsend. I have faith in Walmart's customer service again because of her. Yes they dropped the ball with the pics and the other people that didn't call me back but she saved the day! First I must State , I only was at store helping Elder friend she shops there I do not. Also I am Stage 4 Colerectal Cancer survivor. On the day of November 17th I had to wait for Elder friend to get her items put in her car. She orders and picks up. I have some troubles from surgery to remove lower intestine section for Cancer...so when I have digestive trouble I must get to men's room and toilet fast. At 63 and on bad legs this is hard. I could not find stall open so went to rear of store. This was at 13: 45 hour. I rushed to rear bathroom and found it occupied. I begged the 2 persons if one could let me use toilet ASAP.. A young 20 year old man popped out of one stall and he was verbally abusive and threatening. This Young Man ..is a WALLMART EMPOYEE .. I had to use the toilet fast. I got in out no accident with twisted guts. The problem is the Young Employee came back in Restroom threatening me , and raising his voice. I am 63 and Disabled... I had to endure the RUDE VERBAGE and Threats from WALLMART EMPLOYEE. I tried to explain my situation and the damage to my BODY from Reconstructive Surgery. This Young man..small wiry and very angry ...simply said quote : " I do not care about your sickness or Surgery damage. I tried my best to calm him and explain. Outside restroom 2nd WALLMART Employee standing there a younger woman..in her late 30's I tried to explain...and calm the Young man..and Her now too. No avail. As a Cancer Survivor , and customer I was ORDERED ...to leave. My crime : SURVIVING STAGE 4 CANCER. My attending medical issues stem from muscle / nerve destruction. That was my price to LIVE. For this and my struggles the Employees at WALLMART were rude thoughtless and angry and very vocal to me. At 63 and a survivor .. I do not reccomend any person with my former Cancer ...to even go in that rude thoughtless and shallow... Reprehensible store. The Employees are Rude and do NOT care about others. This store does absolutely nothing about people under the influence. A lady at customer service was high as a kite and not a single employee or security did anything. I had to hold my 5 year old so she couldn't see this lady flailing around. I work retail and we would have kicked her out to make other customers more comfortable. Now I don't always want to patronize big business, but with Covid, my wife and I were not going into many stores very often and wanted some way to avoid the germs and people. Heck, I always want to avoid the people, but Covid now gives me a good reason. So like angels singing from the clouds, in comes Walmart's pickup service. You pay a convenient monthly fee and you get all kinds of great stuff... the best being the ability to order online and drive to the parking lot and have anything you ordered (even appliances!) all loaded into your car w/ their no contact pickup. My wife thanks me and my poor back thanks me for signing us up. Heck, my doctor is probably thankful too because 1. I didn't get any covid and 2. I don't need those shots in my back for the pain anymore (and she doesn't have to hear my long stories as much, well not until it's time for a physical because it's a long time and you HAVE to talk about something interesting while uncomfortable things are happening). You know we used to do more shopping at WinCo because they are a great store and really care about their employees, but I'm telling you first you have to load stuff into your cart, then onto the conveyor belt and then once they check you out it all goes back into the cart, then into the car and then into the house. That is 5 times I had to load the same heavy groceries over and over and over again. When I tell you my back hurt after our trips, I mean it. I had to rest up for several days after to heal my bulging disc injury. But now with Walmart pickup, my back feels good and we get a few things from Winco but not the heavy stuff any more. Also, I just want to talk about the quality of the food. I was concerned at first because I'd heard some not great things about certain Walmart locations (down in the south end if you know what I'm talking about). But they consistently do a good job choosing things for us, even with produce. Now there's certain things I've learned not to order with them: #1 Romaine lettuce because it's full of bugs. Sure they are dead, but my wife is squeamish and I don't eat the stuff (the romaine or the bugs just to make it clear to you). I prefer my lettuce dark and a little bitter.. bugs may be bitter too, I don't know, but I have no desire to find out either. #2 Don't order anything special unless you are very specific about what you want it replaced with. We drink their Vanilla Soy Milk and they tried to replace it with regular milk when they were out of stock. It was that or nothing at all. Well I come to find out they have a non-vanilla version of the same Soy Milk and it was in stock and I can't even think of why in the world they wouldn't want to give me that over regular stuff. So either tell them not to replace certain special items or tell them exactly what to replace it with (you can do that right as you are checking out). #3 I got some really nasty overripe oranges once and just contacted customer service and got a refund. The good stuff: I'm really surprised at how good the fuji and honeycrisp apples are (when in season) and the navel oranges are great usually too. The bakery and deli items are also pretty great. My wife let me order one of those BIG cheesecakes (we usually do small deserts and dairy free most of the time, but I'd been dreaming of real cheesecake and having lots of leftovers) for my birthday this year and it was fantastic. I cut up some fresh strawberries (from Walmart) to go on top and it was that sour sweet goodness that makes your eyes roll back and you think that you've experienced a higher state of consciousness or nirvana or bliss or something like that. This is a Walmart cheesecake guys! Amazing. My only BIG complaint with them and the pickup service is this: I'd say a good 67 percent of the time the darn app does not work when you are trying to tell them you have arrived and I've had to manually call them in those cases and got a couple of weird experiences on the phone like maybe they weren't quite sure how to handle it. Despite that, it's been a blessing in our lives. It protects us from the Covid germs (since no one acts like it's still around) and keeps me feeling spry and now that I complain less, my wife has been more romantic and we go on these sweet little car dates where we pick up something yummy and pick a place to park in the winter months (usually a pretty place with a nice view of the mountains or some interesting people watching) and we'll listen to music and talk and it's the best you guys! In the summer we go have a picnic in a park or in our backyard. I even got out the tent and set it up for her so we could have a mini camping date and she cried because she thought it was so nice. See why I like Walmart now? This whole experience changed my mind about it. Give the pickup service a try and you'll probably wish you'd done it sooner. read more

Customer service is 0 to nonexistent. I tried asking questions to a few employees and was ignored. The employees walk around like zombies. Not one smile from any employees. I was there for about 40mins. Would not recommend this place to shop. Also you have to buy one of there grocery bags in order to put your belongings into. Went to this Walmart to get Vodka. Went to the alcohol section where a lady was waiting and said she had been waiting for 20 minutes after pushing the help button multiple times. Over the course of the next 30 minutes, associates were paged 4 times, several employees were talked to and no one came to help. By this time 10 customers were waiting with no end in sight. I was even told by one employee to ask someone else for help and when I asked her to page someone, she told me she was to shy to use the intercom. We finally left. Piss poor service. COMPLETELY incompetent delivery service!! We've given them chance after chance after chance to make up for all of their faults, and tonight is the straw that broke the camel's back. In the past, we've had the following issues: Late delivery, cancelled without notification, 24 hour delay, rotten vegetables, rotten fruit, melted and re-frozen ice cream, fully melted ice cream, thawed out frozen meals, sliced ham when whole ham was ordered, whole turkey when sliced turkey was ordered, SOMEONE ELSE'S DELIVERY dropped on my doorstep while my order was taken somewhere else, bizarre substitutes unrelated to the item ordered, the list goes on. Whenever we called to question or complain, the woman who answers the phone (same voice every time) was rude and unprofessional. All we ever got for our troubles was a "whoops, here's $5-$20 off your next order". Tonight, I put in a delivery order at 1 pm, and the app told me it would arrive at 6pm. At 6:40, I was informed the delivery would be 2 hours late. At 8:30pm, I called to ask where my dinner was, and the staff let the phone ring for a full 5 minutes before their machine hung up on me. I called back, got transferred to their delivery department, and the delivery department ALSO let their phone ring ceaselessly for over 6 minutes before I finally hung up. I tried to call back, and nobody answered. Relative called and was told there were no drivers because the snow was "so bad". I can still see the yellow lines on the road, so it's not even a quarter of an inch thick. Apparently, they switched delivery services last month, to a company that doesn't even have drivers in our area! I'm disabled and can't drive to the store, so how am I supposed to get any of my essentials if their drivers are scared of a thin layer of snow? The megastore of Skagit County. They have a big, big job. This is the place to get anything and everything at the cheapest price possible right there in real time. Need toys? They got it. Food, clothes, cleaning products, yes! OTC medicines, tools, oil and auto accessories, outdoors, landscaping, all yes! I mean everything at real cheap. That being said, there are challenges to operating that type of store. Theft, sketchy people, and overcrowding is inevitable unfortunately, but not rampant. I also personally wish they were a 24 hour store for those who need the real late night run. Regardless, I cannot complain. Groceries, toothpaste, dog food, hardware, etc. The setup of this store is totally different than any other Walmart that we have been in, so we ended up walking what seemed like miles extra, backtracking. Can't say I expected bread and pet products to be in the same area. Anyhow, went to the dreaded checkout. Lines were not too bad this time around and we had the best checker ever in Walmart. Hannah was amazing, smiling, friendly. It's nice to see an employee happy. I waited an hour to get someone's attention. Every spot has the same phone number to call, yet no one answers the phone. When I finally got help (an hour later) I was told the number is a cell and gone and they don't answer it, nor do they return calls. So I ask why the voicemail message states to leave name and number and an associate will return the call. Apparently they just don't answer the phone. Fire them. If they can't do their job, you're paying them for nothing. I called the store and explained that I can't reach anyone to pick up my order. She put me on hold to speak to a manager. After 8.5 minutes, I call back to find out she hung up on me. Apparently at this point, no one can help me. This is the first time I've used pickup because I'm tired of being accosted on my way out the door to see my receipt. If you're so worried about people stealing, put employees back to work at the register and ring my groceries through like other stores. Of course my opinion doesn't matter. I'm one person in a million. The difference is, I'm tired of being treated like a common criminal when I go into the Walmart, waiting for an hour to get someone's attention because store employees don't answer the phone number posted to pickup an order is unacceptable - I'm done. I'm not shopping at the Walmart ever again. It's too stressful and the experience is intolerable. It's about choices and my choice is to give another store my hard earned money. I went to do photos, NO HELP. Good thing brought Grandson, who also ended up helping other people needing help. One worker told us the lady who worked there and know SO much (I liked her just don't remember her name was at Mt. Vernon Photo in Washington- and was good at her job) Well she retired and Walmart wouldn't let her teach anyone else what to do. Now I am 5 days out (of a same day pick up) and NO ONE can figure out what the heck there doing. I'm 80 and don't want to waste gas, and time driving back and forth to find out if it's finished. Call but that's no good because 2 hours later and waiting no one answered the phone. Then when I finally get ahold of someone they don't know either and can't find recommend me call back TOMORROW! I was in dire need of ammo for duck hunting and they just got some in stock. I can legally buy a gun and ammo but Walmart decided that they are above federal law and they do what they want. After this went down we walked around the store to buy other products and they kicked us out claiming we were going to have people buy it for us illegally. This is a pretty run-of-the-mill Walmart Supercenter. Parking is ample (probably excessive), and you don't have to walk too far from your car to the entrance. We needed some windshield washer fluid, and the auto parts section hooked us up. We got what felt like a lifetime supply of the RainX fluid for $3. The same thing was selling for $15 on Amazon. Score! Good thing we decided to stop here because it started raining on the rest of the drive down to Seattle! read more

I came here after the Faith No More show before crossing the border home to get some last minute emergency cheap groceries before my real grocery run across the boarder. I've never been inside a US Super Center.I was both inspired and shocked by how long some of the prices are even with the current exchange rate of 80 cents on the dollar. I was horrified at the junk food. Do you American's actually eat this stuff? You do realize that it is food like this that is a problem with obesity! I didn't come here for the pleasant shopping experience but the lady at the tile looked as though she wanted to kill someone, starting with herself. My buddy Scott bought a 12 pack and we were both carded. I should be complimented but she was just being a bored cashier. It's obvious that I am 1.5 decades past the legal age. Yet again after 9 pm the electronic employees are useless, I came in the first time asking for a Nintendo Switch dock, online it said it was there, so I came in. To my surprise the associate says that he couldn't find it and to have it ordered for store pickup so someone else can do it. I was dumbfounded. My second time I came in to get a game for the Nintendo Switch called Fire Emblem Three Houses. The first associate says that he has no tools to help me, and that the game is too new so Walmart doesn't have it. The second associate says that since the system says the game doesn't come out till the 26th he couldn't sell us the game, and that even though other stores let you buy them at 9 pm PST (which is 12 am EST), he still couldn't sell it to us until 12:01, extremely dissatisfied. read more

Wal-Marts never present a truly pleasant shopping experience, but we have been impressed by how they seem to employ people from all walks of life. People at my work have always joked about becoming Wal-Mart greeters when they retire, but I see that greeters are allowed to set up far from the door with blankets and chairs during the cold weather.
