I needed a smog check last minute, I messaged the business about pricing and availability and they responded quickly about everything. Next thing I know, I went and was in and out within 10 minutes. I didn't get the name of the gentleman that helped me today but he was very sweet and helpful! I would recommend them to anyone! read more

A very friendly man greeted me and had me out of there, smog check passed, in literally seven minutes. Sure I got lucky with being the first to arrive at 9 AM -- but this was simply the best smog check experience I've had in the city. Highly recommend. read more

Efficient and friendly service. It took about 30 mins. I will definitely go back for my next smog check.

Sev is phenomenal! He got me in and out less than 10nins! Customer Service is great there

Requested a smog check yesterday and was able to come in before work the next day to get my smog check done! He gave me a quote of $55 and stuck to that when I came in. Gabriel was very professional about it all. read more

Went to Hill Smog today, and it was completed in a short time frame (5-7 mins tops). These guys were very professional and gave a great price. I would definitely recommend this location for Smog test. Gentleman named Sev did a fantastic job! read more

Great service quick and easy. Highly recommend this business and would go here if you need a test

Amazing quick service will come back took abt a couple minutes and I was in and out in a jiffy. Good prices and great services

Well... had to do the smog check thing with my Tacoma. I guess it's good for the environment. I'm not so sure with how good cars/trucks/gas are these days that it's still needed. But I'm old enough to remember really bad exhaust pollution and it's one thing that has actually improved over the years. I appreciate and support that. I have to laugh at this irony of having to get a "pass" in order to have the honor of paying a tax. Got to love bureaucracy! Kejejian was fast and professional. He was really moving! As expected- prices have gone up (Thanks Biden!) Just deal people. This guy is hustling for his money. If you have the honor to get the smog check, I would recommend "Smog Test Only". (I love the name!) read more

I come every year and the service is EXCELLENT! Sev is wonderful, friendly and I am in and out in 15 minutes; I didn't even make an appointment. The price was very good and I recommend Hill Smog Test. read more

Great experience getting my smog check done. Everyone was nice and efficient. The whole process only took ten minutes - very well-priced.

Needed a smog test, they had me in and out of there in 15 minutes max. Friendly communicative staff got my test done and I was on my way!

I decided to see if there was a place nearby that could smog check my car during my lunch break. I called to check how long it would take and what the price was, they guaranteed it'd be done in 20 minutes (they finished faster than that) and even reminded me about their Yelp coupon to save me $10. The best part: they had a sweet COVERED patio area to sit and wait while the car was serviced. After standing around in the sun at every other place, there's nowhere else I'm going from here on out!! read more

Went in after work and was done in 10 minutes, maybe even less. Very professional, very kind. Will definitely be back.

Highly recommend this location! Incredibly fast service and very friendly mechanic! Overall a very pleasant experience.

Sev, was absolutely great and got me in and out very quickly! Wouldn't get a Smog Check anywhere else!

Went in Saturday morning and got my smog test done within 15 mins. Both gentlemen were really courteous. Great customer service!

OUTSTANDING experience. Fast and friendly service, and comfortable waiting area, and a good price. Very pleased. Will be back the next time I need a smog check. read more

So I was using another Smog station for some time and after the guy that ran it mistreated and disrespected my Wife and Daughter when they took one of our cars in without me, I immediately looked for another place near me. I came across Hill Smog Test Only and dropped by without an appointment. Mike and his Son run this place and I'm really glad I picked this one as the whole experience was fast and painless. I was in and out in no time and my car was taken care of by professionals. I have several cars and I'll be taking them all to Hill Smog Test Only from now on. If you need to Smog your vehicles, this is the place to go! Love the swing seats for waiting...nice touch. Thanks! read more

Hill Smog Test Only - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Pasadena, California

Choosing where to get my car smogged was a challenge, as the last time, the Smog person 'jimmied' something so I wa told to go to the garage across the street, who told me they could not fix it, and to take it to my regular mechanic, which I did ~ and paid for the repair but not for the truth of how it occurred. So based on a friend's suggestion and seeing the Yelp reviews, I went to the HILL SMOG TEST ONLY site and EVERYTHING WAS DONE CORRECTLY, QUICKLY, and PLEASANTLY! I have not been able to take the time to get the car washed ~ to offer a better impression ~ but nonetheless, the fellow who handled my need for the Smog Cert was Kind, Careful, Cordial, and polite ~ very much knew WELL what needed to be done and was willing and careful to do it properly. I was prepared to wait, but didn't have to wait at all ~ barely had time to read the thoughtful book that was on the table next to the chair where I waited. EXCELLENT WORK ~ EXCELLENT STAFF. read more

Entrance is next to bodyshop, has a sign out front so can be easy to miss. No apt needed. Showed up and happened to be only person: Quick/friendly service, done by Haik. He was very efficient. Also honored online coupon. read more

I went here after reading the other 5 star reviews AND it is 2 blocks away from where I live...perfect. This was the first smog check of my life. I shipped my beloved car all the way from Hawaii where there is no such thing as a smog check. I was nervous I would fail since my car is 16 years old (but still GREAT!!!) but I did pass. The guy mentioned in the other review, Shant, was the one who helped me. I just pulled up (after missing the entrance and going around the block) parked and said "Hi, I need a smog check and I've never done this before!" He was very nice and explained the process and the pricing. I waited maybe 15 minutes, paid and left! One down side was the waiting area. It's all outdoors under a tent thing which was pretty uncomfortably hot in late August. But..if I ever need to do one of these again, I would definitely go back! They share a driveway with a mechanic shop right next door (north) on Hill so its kinda easy to miss. Easier to see their sign if you are driving south on Hill. read more

No fuss and straightforward. Called ahead for a price and to make sure there wasn't a significant wait. Got there and was in/out within 15 min. Good transparent and friendly service. The only reason why they don't get the 5th star is because the facilities are a little beaten. read more

Friendly and courteous service. Didn't feel disrespected or condescended to for being a woman. Mike is fast, direct and nice. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. I wish all my appointments were this efficient, down-to-business and trouble-free. The only issue is that the work they did on my car dislodged one of the wires to the car battery, so I couldn't start my car when I tried to go home from work the same day. I had to call AAA and they reconnected it. Rev.--the wire becoming dislodged from my visit to Hill Smog Test Only became a chronic problem and I used up all my AAA "free" roadside assistance offers dealing with it. This has never happened before after other car service jobs. I can only conclude that they need to be more careful. read more

I usually go to this place and get all my vehicles smog checked. Today I went and was sorely disappointed. The owner is out I'll and the people pitching in for him are the auto repair shop next door, they are not doing right by the owner I got there a few minutes before the shop was to open. Their driveway was blocked by a car. I was told to pull around to the left of the shop. When I pulled back around another customer had pulled in. I let the person know I was first. He said don't worry. The other customer's vehicle was moved and I was assured I would be taken first. I waited and noticed a different person came and took paperwork from the other customer, essentially making me second. When I brought this to the attention of the guy he said the customers needs would be handled quicker than my needs. The guy didn't find out what my needs consisted of, he just put me off. I found out that the owner of the shop is out ill I have been coming to this shop for many years but I will not return to this shop until the owner returns. read more

I called in at around noon on a Saturday to see if they were open for smog testing and lucky for me they are open to 1pm on Saturdays. They said to come on down and that there was no wait, so I did, and I was done in 15 minutes tops. The service was very professional and friendly and not at all pushy, and the smog test, plus certificate, was $10-$15 less than most places. The garage and equipment looked newer and not all shabby like other garages I've visited in the past. I'll definitely go here again. read more

I stopped by only to get a smog check since i was past due and happened to see the sign. I'm not from the area but I did a quick DMV website check to make sure they're valid (they are) and I quickly followed that up with a Yelp check. We drove right in on a Saturday afternoon. The traffic of the car wash made me a bit hesitant but I was the only one there for a smog check. The test didn't take any time. 5 stars for that. While I was paying I found out that it came with a free car wash that I wasn't expecting or needed but what the heck. My review of the car wash place (I'm writing a separate review)? 2 stars... read more

Friendly and quick. $50 and only took about 15 minutes. Didn't make a reservation, just pulled up at 1:30pm on a Friday.

Super fast and friendly service. I found this place because it was close by to my work and also had such great yelp reviews. Obviously a smog test is never on anyone's "fun things to do" list but this shop was so fast I could get on with my day without a long wait. I will totally be back next time I need a smog check. Thanks again! read more

After my car did not pass the smog check, I was told I had 30 days to get the repair and return for an $11 re-check. However, when I returned and the car passed, I was charged another $40! What a rip off!!! I have been going there for years and this is the first time my car did not pass. I will never go there again and will not recommend using their smog check service.
