went in with my friend and the lady who did her nails did a terrible job. There was nail polish all over her cuticles cut her and also burned her in the process. She asked for a refund they would not give it to her. She was in tears because of how awful the nails were. The people were so rude would not give her a refund and made her pay to take them off then when it finally came my turn, then overcharged me for my nails for asking for a fair refund for my friend. My nails which usually were around 65 for me she charged me 85 safe to say I will not be going back there ever again highly disappointed in Highland Nails. read more

I can always count on getting in and out and get my nails refreshed and ready! Thank you

Really sad this nail salon didnt work out as it is so close to home. My first gel manicure here only lasted about 2.5 weeks, my second gel manicure lasted less than a week :( I got gel manicure on Monday 6/8 for my Best Friends Wedding that weekend, by Saturday, the day of the wedding (just 5 days later) they were already chipping. Gel typically lasts me 3-4 weeks so very unfortunate experience here. read more

First off, they have great service til the end of your session. They've rushed me the past 2 times I've come in, and charged me $10 extra for requesting 2 colors. That added up to $90 without tip :( They also nicked my fingers twice and made me bleed but didn't say sorry. And proceeded to charge me $90 for this. Overall decent service, but save your money by going somewhere else. read more

As much as I'd love to say this is my go to place and living so near by, I've had a few times where a lady (seems to be the same one so far) asks me "tip, tip?' as soon as I am about to pay, then once I hand her the tip cash, she looks at the cash and walks away without a thank you. :( For the record, I did tip 18% and she still looked disgusted when she received it. In my opinion, I don't think no one should ever show or express such way to make customers feel like they were getting their nails done all for just the tip. I truly can tell most people are very caring for their customers but that just ruins the whole environment. Since then, I've been asking for Tracy since and she is so wonderful! Fun conversations and appreciation when receiving tips. I'd give it a 2/5 from the last few times the lady treated me that way for the tips but I'm doing a 4/5 to give it hopeful chances that this will be resolved. :-) Thank you Tracy for being so amazing! read more

Well for starters my daughter who is 8 just wanted polish on her toes and hands not full manicure or pedicure. But i did ask if she could sit in the pedicure chair with warm water. They said ok. We got about our time: and when we were done and she gave my total asked her what the cost of each thing was(seemed high) she said oh she soaked her feet. That's $10. ... i couldn't believe it. Even my 8 year old when we got in the car said she made you pay for the water? She didn't clip nails, scrub, or put scrub in the water . To top that off, my daughter has half her polish gone already. Today is Tuesday we went yesterday( Monday. ) and some of my nails on my Acrylic set are not right and raised. very read more

I stopped into this salon to get a dip and pedicure. I came in without an appointment and they were able to squeeze me in. I was happy they could do so. Well the nails looked good when I left but about 2 weeks later they started lifting and one snapped. I went to my normal spot and they fixed it with dip powder. Now I am a few weeks out and almost every nail was lifted with dirt under them. My nail tech said they didn't use dip they used acrylic powder which is what caused it to lift. They couldn't remove them the normal way dip is removed and my nail beds looked terrible. Needless to say I won't be back. If you ask for dip then you definitely should get dip. read more

I had a mani/pedi. The technician did a pretty good job but was very slow. I don't think the shop is very clean. I couldn't see any signs that they sterilize their tools (like they didn't remove them from the paper). It's also just junky looking with clutter everywhere and chipped paint. I could see that they had some drinks but I wasn't offered any. read more

Took my little girl and her bestie here for their 1st pedi-mani. Anna the owner is super nice and friendly. She makes my daughter and her bestie feel calm and relaxed. She offered them candies and drinks while they were waiting. She is so patient with them their nails turn out perfect. She is also attentive and gentle when filling. Both of them couldn't stop looking at their nails while we driving home. Great job Anna so glad we found you for my daughter's 1st nails done professionally. i highly recommended Anna and Highlands Nails. We will be back again for sure!! Thank you! GREAT experience! read more

I got a manicure at Highland Nails in Issaquah on May 29th. The woman that worked on me did not use an emery board to shape my nails. Instead she used manicure scissors to cut them and then sanded off the ends to make straight across nails. My nails were oval...but that would have been ok except now my nails are breaking off at the tips due to the scisdors that were used. What a mess. I will not be back. read more

I've been here multiple times when I am in town... mainly because of location. I am always shocked by the rating of this place. Every time I've had a great experience. I usually do walk ins and I have been able to get in but it can get busy. I like the ambiance, the staff and the chairs are comfortable. I was lucky to get Jenny today. She did my mani/ pedi and eyebrow waxing. She is attentive to detail and friendly. I love my nails and brows. read more

I've been coming for a few months. My most recent experience was awful. I was there for a pedicure and dip manicure and was there almost 4 hours. The pedicure continued to get messed up and my big toe (gel polish mind you) chipped off the same day. My nails started to lift a week later and I finally took one off today as it kept ripping my hair out. This is what I found under all of them. Beware read more

I got a full set French tip short square and this was the result. I had to make several comments on how I wanted my nails done and even then turned out awful. Very good place 5o get a pedicure and dip fill. Everyone I've seen has been very knowledgeable and kind.

Will never EVER EVER come here again....worst mani/fill I have ever had. Smells horrible in there and the women look you up and down as the speak to each other in their native tongue......rude workers! Even though this place is soooo close to my home, I purposely go out of my way to go to another salon to give them my money and business!!! read more

I came in today for an impromptu shellac manicure & am so pleased! The technician was very detail oriented & got my ragged cuticles looking so nice. She was careful not to over scrape the old shellac off too. She finished with a fabulous massage on my arms, hands & shoulders. The salon doesn't have that chemical smell from artificial nails either. I wish I lived closer so I could make this my regular place. read more

Went to get gel acrylic nails and the paint came off of 2 nails a couplehours after getting them done so I called and went back so their fix it. Again the paint was coming off. My advice, go else where. The workers there are very pushy and cheap with thier products. They lost a client such a shame. read more

Got a hot stone massage with my pedicure and hot towel was told 30 min wait but I was serviced after just 10 ladies were polite and accomadating I dont expect to socialize much so I think the other reviews were just unneccesary besides the facetiming, pedicure is pricier at 27 but the location probably has higher space rent overall cute little salon wish was but cleaner and organized but I assume the hokiday rush doesnt let up . Bad pic sorry :) read more

Just like Sarah T's review my experience was very similar. My pedicure was probably 15 minutes and when it came down to paying the lady at the front was fucking rude. As I pulled out my card the lady yelled "do you have cash?!" and I said "what you don't take card?" to what she replies "we prefer cash!". Its 2017 everyone and their mom pays with card. If you want to run a business expect your clients to use their cards as a form of payment because most people don't carry cash. Also how about don't sound so greedy to your clients when they're about to pay. Because of that I only left a $3 tip due to the fact of how disrespectful they were. Save your money and go somewhere else, don't pay for such rude and shitty service! read more

I've never had a bad experience at Highlands Nails. I have been to many nail salons on the Eastside and this is my favorite. The WORST experience I have ever had. The minute I got there the girls kept whispering in each others ears and looking at customers up and down. I stood at the door waiting my turn for 5 minutes as the workers took all the spots on the couch designed for customers to sit and wait. When I finally got in the chair the girl noticed 1 of my nails broke, she kept repeating "wow" as she forcefully removed what was left. After ripping off 5 additional nails with out my permission she had the nerve to keep asking me for a tip. She refused to paint my nails until I handed it over. The owner also came up to double check I was leaving a cash tip (I paid with card). I have never felt so forced to leave a tip in my life. She looked very irritated when she saw i had only left $3 (extremely poor service) and kept jerking and throwing my hands as she sloppily finished. That wasn't even the last of it.. I was the last customer left waiting for my nails to dry, they were under for about 2 minutes when the owner comes up to me saying, "your nails are good enough time to go now." The most uncomfortable experience ever. Will NEVER return. read more

I made an appointment on Wednesday to come in on Thursday. I showed up just before my appt and picked out the color, they pointed me to a seat. The woman helping me worked on my pedicure for a few minutes, then a woman came in. They asked her if she was the one who had just called in. She said yes and then they sat her down for a manicure, with the woman who was helping me. They told me someone else would help me once they were done with the person they were currently helping. That didn't sit well with me. It was only going to be a few minutes, but I don't understand why I was left to wait for the next person when I had a previously made appt. So I left, and won't be back. read more
