They once did whole chicken which was pretty perfect outside on the old patio. Pretty much impossible to undercook something you smoked for hours but very easy to dry it out, and it was great. Actually brought the whole fam there that day including our dog. It's petfriendly outside. They have three main beers that you can always get, and then about another 3 beers or so of rotating and experimental beers/ciders. If you want to get an idea of the staff this is from my first visit there a few years back. I actually think this was towards the beginning of Covid. We had to get out of dodge and enjoy some relaxation by the lake. When we showed up everywhere we drove by the spots we normally frequented and everywhere was closed, sometime near 8 pm. We did a search and found that here was open and headed over as fast as we could to try to get something to eat. Unfortunately the grill just closed, and we resigned ourselves to a liquid dinner. The chef then pokes his head out and offers to make a pretzel for us, and we could not have been happier. It was a big one too. The staff was just so welcoming and seemingly very happy that we were there... which is not always the case in the general area... that Burnt Timber became one of our usual spots instantly. Each time we've been back it has always been that way, which is even more rare not just here but back in the Boston area as well. So again if you like smoked and fermented things in an unpretentious atmosphere with very friendly staff I'm pretty sure you'll love this place too

There was no clearly marked ADA-accessible entrance or any obvious way for a wheelchair user to safely access the inside of the restaurant. We considered sitting outside, but the awning poles blocked the walkway to the point that we could not comfortably or safely navigate the area with a wheelchair. Even if we had managed to sit outside, we had no accessible way to get inside if the wheelchair user in our party needed to use the restroom. What was perhaps most disappointing was that not one person offered us any guidance, alternative entrance, assistance or possible solution. We were simply left trying to figure it out ourselves. Accessibility is about more than just getting through a door. A person using a wheelchair should be able to enter, dine with their family and friends, and access a restroom with dignity. Sadly, we weren't able to do that here and had no choice but to leave. I sincerely hope Burnt Timber takes a serious look at its accessibility and staff awareness so another family doesn't have the same experience.

The chicken & lemongrass dumplings were genuinely one of the best appetizers I have ever had in my life - perfectly balanced, deeply flavorful, comforting and bright all at once. Every bite felt intentional. The rest of the meal was equally flawless. My Chicken Caprese sandwich and my husband's Club sandwich were excellent, but the dumpling appetizer just stole the show for me. My mouth waters writing this and remembering! We sat outside on the patio on a beautiful spring Sunday, listening to the nearby fountain and the happy sounds of families celebrating together. It was the kind of atmosphere that reminds you how special simple moments can be when everything comes together just right. What truly elevated the experience from excellent to exceptional was the service. Greg (and another gentleman whose name I did not catch) made us feel genuinely cared for and welcomed from start to finish - warm, attentive, welcoming, and effortlessly professional without ever feeling intrusive. Checked Yelp and distances (just finished 6 hours on bike) and wanted something close. This tavern had good ratings, so winner, winner... It was a locals bar, everyone was super nice and friendly. Many general conversations and local news. Ordered a Ruben sandwich which was very good along with their crispy homemade chips. If in the area, this is a great place to try.

It was mostly local regulars, but all were very friendly and talked about local activities. The pub had all the regular beers, nice and cold. The food was actually pretty good bar food, had their pub shaved steak sandwich. It was different but good and the fries crispy. I sat at the bar and the service was very good and bartender friendly. The picture posted on their website shows six potato tots, yet our serving came with four. It was pleasant and tasty. For my main course, I ordered the Peach Glazed Pork. The dish had a nice presentation. I found the pork to be drier than I would have expected, but it was still edible. I guess I had higher expectations. The space seems cramped packed in with high top tables and seating at the bar with high ceilings and colorful murals. They usually have 12 Kettlehead beers on tap and packs of cans to go. The food menus are different and unique at each Kettlehead location, which I've really enjoyed. This Stevens Mill location offers a limited menu of tacos, quesadillas, rice bowls, and nachos with choices of chicken, pulled pork & brisket, plus chips & salsa. I stopped by Kettlehead Brewing Stevens Mill recently and there was trivia going on when I arrived here. For takeout, I ordered a Pulled Pork Nachos ($12 plus tax) and listened to the trivia Q&A as I waited learning about more about US geography. The good sized nachos were boxed and ready to go in about 12 minutes. The nachos were comprised of crispy nacho chips loaded with tender roasted pulled pork, tomato salsa, melted cheese, mixed veggies, and a chipotle crema sauce, very well made and tasty. I will definitely get some tacos from this Kettlehead on my next visit!
